gaming If you were a pokemon gym leader, what would be your main specialty type?

I'd probably go with Fairy, as I tend to find a lot of success when I use Pokemon of that type, and I like a good amount of Fairy Pokemon. Here's the team I would use:

Mawile

Clefable

Whimiscott

Azumarill

Togekiss

Sylveon

My second choice would either be Steel or Ghost, as I would like to use Aegislash, Gourgeist, Mawile, or Heatran on my team.

Dark baby, yeah! Evil for the win!

My team:

  • Umbreon
  • Cacturne
  • Sharpedo
  • Houndoom
  • Sableye
  • Hydreigon

My F.U. team:

  • Zoroark
  • Darkrai
  • Hydreigon
  • Tyranitar
  • Spiritomb
  • Mew-Two (So what if it's not a dark type? There's a reason this is called my F.U. team!)

As for my gym, It would be a darkly lit maze that you would have to have flash to get through. I would also have a secret Team Rocket base hidden under my gym.

Any problem that you may experience on this site can be solved immediately if you simply throw Fluttershy into a wood chipper.   You can trust me on this, because I'm an administrator. Would I lie?

I have favorites from all the types  :(

I guess fairy, if I had to choose.  They're not the strongest, but I really love whimsicott and slurpuff.  Banette is my super favorite pokemon though, but I don't want to be limited to just ghost types.

I really like marowak and tyranitar, too.

Can I just be the elite four champion?  XD

Going by anime style, skill is what matters, not the pokemon. I don't really need to bother with an OU roster. I'd be a new gym leader, and my new battle style would be six-vs six, from the get go. To test your trust with your pokemon, neither one of us are allowed to give commands to our pokemon. My gym would be a 50-acre forest, since it works best for my group, and it ensures that you can't give nonverbal commands. My team:

Plusle
Minun
Emolga
(My disruptors. Raised in speed and defenses. Trained to scatter at the start of a match throwing out status conditions and effects and supporting the rest of the team. If you don't focus on them, you're going to get wrecked. If you do focus on them, you're more than likely to miss, and also risk getting taken out by...)

Galvantula
Jolteon
Magneton
(My smashers. Raised in offenses. They're trained to use their move coverage to take the by now severely crippled team out. Galvantula throwing sticky webs all over the place makes the other team even slower, and bug buzz can be used to disorient lost pokemon. Double kick and flash cannon hurt pokemon that can't be hurt by electric moves.)

It works well considering that TM's aren't a thing. It's the kind of gym where just spamming attacks is going to end miserably for you; especially ground types, since trees mean my pokemon are functionally immune to most of them. Only the truly skilled pass my gym.

Dragon type could be fun! In terms of my teams, I'd try to go for one that's a bit varied... something like this

  • Goodra
  • Kingdra
  • Tryrantrum
  • Altaria
  • Dragonite

my second choice would be Grass

  • Venusaur
  • Breloom
  • Abomasnow
  • Roserade

Water type since I'm a natural born swimmer and aquatic life interests me the most. My gym would have an aquarium with large underwater castles and caves.

Main team:

Mega Blastoise

Cloyster

Kingler

Kabutops

Lapras

Starmie

Backup team

Mega Sharpedo

Milotic

Clawitzer

Slowking

Kingdra

Samurott

Ooh! I've... I've actually thought about this many times. If I was an Elite Four member...

My favorite type of pokemon is Flying. So my team would be as followed:

-Staraptor
-Talonflame

-Skarmory

-Swellow

-Gliscor

-Noivern

My second favorite type is Steel, so that team would be:

- Aggron

-Skarmory

-Excadrill

-Mawile

-Aegislash

-Empoleon

If I were a gym leader that also leads gyms, I would have a mix of Ice and Ghost Pokemon. Ghost to freeze you with fear and Ice to freeze you. Literally.

The actually Pokemon on my team...Gengar would be the main star, I love Gengar. :3 If I recall, I THINK Gengar can learn ice moves as well. I would need to do a bit more looking into for the Ice type, I actually have not used many but I want to start doing so. I like coldness. :D

The gym theme would be an icy, misty hallow with a haunting atmosphere. That would be cool.

Get it, 'cool'?
