Gilda is the old friend of Rainbow Dash that appeared in Season 1, Episode 5 - Griffon the Brush Off. She's the awesomest griffon of all time, gg no re.

 

 

Old Content (for April 1st) Gilda is best pony. The way she yelled at Fluttershy and scared her was totally legit. Plus, the way she treated RD's friends was outstanding. The Mane 6 are worst ponies.

I actually like Gilda though. She's a hardass and has a really cool surfer accent. Also, as much as I loathe Turnabout Storm, what they did with her in that was brilliant. If she makes a return, it really should be like that. Only less tear-jerky. I don't want my computer to glitch up from all the manly tears soaking into my keyboard.

I actually think Gilda was one of the better one-time antagonists, because loads of us know someone exactly like her. Someone's old friend reappearing out of nowhere, and wanting that reunion time. She's harsh as anything, but she's believable.

 

Even though she was mean to my darling Pinks </3 She showed how Pinkie always tries to love and accept everyone. Great analogy for our fandom, so I appreciate Gilda for that

 

And when you think about it, she is kinda cute.

For some legit reason though, I always found Gilda interesting as a first time brony.

It's just that, something about her made me want to see more of her.

Too bad that hasn't happened yet. 

 

I find it funny that I like Gilda, yet I hate one of the most popular antagonists in the show, Trixie.

Is this another case of Sunset Shimmer? People now are starting to like her now because she's begun to be a supporting character? Nevertheless, I'm actually glad for this change in her role. A long-time friend of Dashie's shouldn't simply disappear off the face of the Earth.

I love Gilda now more than I did when she first appeared. I definitely appreciate and like her more as a character plus that scene of her with a filly Rainbow Dash was adorable!

I was genuinely surprised that they brought her back but I couldn't be more pleased with how they did it. 

 

I love that this new episode completely changes the context of her character all the way back in season one. You realize that Gilda was not being a bitch... well at least not anymore than any other gryphon would be. They're all rather unpleasant.
