Can this fandom grow bigger?

I have been doing a small bit of research and looking into it we have grown to a fair size but we are held back by social norms so unless we break those and make others not in the fandom disregard the norms can we even grow bigger?

Sorry the topic name was accidentally typed wrong.

I think it will keep growing until the show ends and we slowly fizzle away.

I agree with everyone else who commented on the topic, and must add that I believe that the answer is "yes". I mean, I just became a Pegasister, so imagine all the other people who are becoming one every day! :D

Well, they can do what the Marvel Studios did, and expand the Pony Universe, making spin-off tv shows, and have them be different genres to get different people watching.

A spinoff that is fantasy-adventure similar to G1, instead of slice of life like G4, would probably fare well.

Creating an educational MLP show for youngsters would likely get them to watch the cartoon in the future, although they might relate it to the one they watched as a toddler and think it's too babyish for them.

The fandom's going to keep growing :D

I found it because of how much I saw it around ze internetz, so no doubt in my mind that the show's contagiousness will continue to spread if that sort of thing keeps happening :D

No, sorry. We actually have too many according to the fire marshal so we're going to have to kick some people out.

Sure thing! I don't see why we would stop growing.

The show has come a long way already (that's four seasons), and hopefully we'll still have many more episodes to come! I'm not quite sure if such social norms hold us back anymore at this point. But even so, slowly, we continue to rise~

Bronycon has went from 100 attendees to over 8400 within a few years.  It's still growing fast.  There's a ton of people undecided if they'd even give it a shot.  A lot of them are brony-to-be's.  Combine with how memetic every little thing in this show is I don't see it getting smaller yet.  I honestly think after 10 seasons and Hasbro pulls the plug we're still gonna see comics and made-for-tv movies to keep the characters alive.  They'd be foolish not to.

Unless there is a violent revolution, the brony fandom has reached its peak.  I'd love to see it grow bigger, but I honestly don't think it will.  The bronies need to actually make another estimate of how many bronies there are (the 7-12.4mil estimate does not cut it for me).  I think there's two million now and there will be 200K-1mil bronies left in five years.

Of course it's going to grow bigger.:squee: FiM has been slated to do 6 more seasons after the current one. The fandom can only increase from there.

I think it will keep growing until the show ends and we slowly fizzle away.

I doubt it. People are still in fandoms about shows/movies that have long been off the air. look at Star Trek, there's sill a HUGE fan base for it. Yes there's new movies of it.  but between the new movies and the last TV episode with William Shatner or Patrick Stewart in them. There were still Trekkies around. Same with Star Wars. It was recently rebooted with Episode 1 The Phantom menace, but before that the Star Wars fandom was still rather large. Same with the Dr. Who fandom which was rebooted when Christopher Eccelston took the role of the Doctor.

What kept them going was the lore of the show/movie as well as peoples head canons about what else went on in the shows which spawned many other things.

I personally feel like the show has reached an equilibrium of dedicated bronies who are going to regularly post on forums, make analysis videos, fanfic, attend conventions, and the like. All the fans who are likely to be that dedicated have already made their presence known. What we'll have now is an influx of more casual peeps who mostly just watch the show because the internet seems to like it so much for whatever reason, but not actively be 'bronies' in the strictest sense of the word.

But of course, there's always another spot open for someone who's ready to join the herd. It's only a matter of time before the entire planet is consisted of Bronies and Pegasisters. ^^

Of course! Until the fandom dies out, we will keep growing. Though it might be interesting to notice that the number of new bronies are going down. Our fandom is stabilizing and the huge explosion of new fans is over.

Yes, it can grow to as big as there are people on Earth, or any other planet with intellectual life forms as long as they have watched the show and enjoyed it, I guess? The haters are an exception, because haters hate.
