What is your favorite gaming company?

 

I really loved Rare Ware, especially when they worked with Nintendo. I like them because they have made some GREAT games in the past. Banjo Kazooie, Conker's bad fur day, Star Fox Adventures, Donkey Kong 64, etc. 

 

I really wish they'd go back to Nintendo. :/ I feel like they did better off with them. 

 

I also like them because they snuck so much Easter eggs and secrets into their games. Like putting different game logos into the other games (Like in Banjo Kazooie, they put the Donkey Kong logo and Perfect Dark into it). They did put some humor into those games as well.

Rare Ware is obviously #1. The thing about the gaming companies that I don't like is they are always too busy fighting, but if they worked together they could make much better games.

I hardly pay attention to the company. From the NES Konami was good. I usually go game by game. Do people really pay that much attention? Do you really care that much? Do you ever not buy a game, or do buy a game, just because of the company?

I like TellTale Games and Bioware, I like how they make their games with choices and such so it would be tough to choose between them but I think Bioware for me because of the Mass Effect Trilogy

I also love Rockstar, for the GTA series.

 

2K+Gearbox, if only for the  Borderlands series.

 

Bugbear as well for the Flatout franchise.

 

Codemasters for Dirt and a few other games.

Would say Bethesda, if they never made any of the Elder Scrolls series. Frustratingly terrible to me.

Would say Rare, but people misjudge a game due to the fact it's older and based on a James Bond movie. Goldeneye 007? Cheap knock-off only a child should buy, I think. Reloaded was better, still not good. Also, the humor from Conker's Bad Fur day stunk like the Great Mighty Poo, I think.

Would say Rockstar... Nah. Never. EV-ER. Not even if Red Dead Redemption was as good as it supposedly is. GTA ruins it, just because it gets so boring so quickly, and the campaigns are always really lackluster.

Would say 2K if they didn't mostly release sports games. Eww.

Would say Hal Laboratory, if I was more familiar with Earthbound. Kirby's great, and SSB is my favorite fighting game series (only one I have played, really).

Would say Chunsoft, if every Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game was like PMD2.

So much I would say, without the fatal flaw that ruins their chances of being really "good" persay.

 

But I hardly pay attention to the company usually. I hate EA a lot, and yet I think MoH: Warfighter and Battlefields 3 and 4 are great. I also never liked THQ, but Homefront was great in my eyes. Not a lot of other THQ "classics."

ID Software is awesome for help defining the FPS genre and PC gaming in general.

Valve would be responsible for the same thing as ID.

Nintendo was pretty good too, even though I don't support the Wii U. They released one of my favorite series: Metroid. (C'mon, release another Metroid game already!)

Capcom (before cancelling a million MegaMan games) for making a great series, MegaMan.

Valve- My all time favorite gaming company without a doubt. They produced one of the best FPS in gaming history, and I really can't fault them, apart from their skills in basic mathematics.

 

Rockstar- Created masterpieces such as GTA V and L. A Noire.

 

Nintendo- Has Mario, Zelda, Pokemon... Even though I was disappointed with the Wii U, and how they neglect one of their best franchises, MOTHER so much... They're still a great company and have a place in my heart.

I don't particularly hold any loyalty to companies so much as the games they make but I can thank Media.Vision for bringing me Wild Arms, Atlus for Shin Megami Tensei, Monolith Soft for Baten Kaitos, XSEED for bringing the last few Wild Arms games to the US cuz they wouldn't have come over here otherwise... to name a few.

Rareware. I just love them!

Though it doesnt count, Chris Roberts. Him and CIG are awesome, having worked on some of the best space sims and working now on Star Citizen.

Am torn between Bioware and Bethesda. They both make amazing games, some of which are absolute favorites of mine.

 

Capcom is a close third, most of their franchises i've been playing since i was a child.
