So yeah I plan on getting a 3ds soon and all but I am debating on what I should get.....

3DS

Love the size of it and it fits in your pocket nicely. Price is great since its been out a while.

2DS

Haha, did you see my status or is this just ironic?

Anyways, to the question. In my personal opinion (have owned all 3!), I'd have to say the 3DS XL is overall the best, due to the larger screen. Basically, screen size and price is what you're looking for in all this. Currently, I own a 2DS. Which at first, I thought the screen was way too small, but only because I was used to bigger screens, and have last owned an XL. But really, the 2DS and 3DS screens are the same size. I was never really fond of the 3D feature, it would hurt my eyes and be a little annoying after a while. But if it's something you're looking for, then go for it! Of course, the 2DS is the cheapest, and the XL is the most expensive. If you want the 3D feature, go with the XL, it's worth the extra $30 or so. If not, it just depends on how much you want to spend. ^^

Th 2DS is great for it's price point, but I think the original 3DS is the way to go(unless you have big hands, then go for the XL)

Well, I was going to say playing a 2DS was like playing a mini version of the gamepad, but never mind. It feels weird at first, and certainly takes a little time to get used to.

There's really great thing about all of them. For me, it's down to the 2DS or XL (I have the XL). 3DS is nice and small, but the battery life is bad, and the angular shape of it along with its size looks like it would hurt my hands. I haven't played on the original 3DS, though, so I'm not sure about that...

So, if you care about 3D, want a somewhat compact design (because of the clamshell), want a nice, big screen, and want good battery life, go with the XL. If you want the cheapest possible option, don't care about 3D, and don't care much about size, go for the 2DS.

I went with the XL because I didn't like the idea of staring at a tiny screen a bunch. Especially if I have to hold it a decent ways away to control it comfortably. That, and the design just looked much more ergonomic than the other two. (It also may have had something to do with the fact that they were really cheap this black friday. :L)

So yeah, I recommend the XL. :3

I personally like the 3DS XL more so than the 3DS. I've had both, but I haven't had the chance to play 2DS, but it looks like something comparable to the gameboy advance, but longer.

I'd say the XL.

The 3DS is fine, but the screen is tiny. We all know that. The 3DS comes in more colors though, like purple (that's all I could think of at the moment.)

The 2DS - well, it's okay. My cousin has it. I've used it before - its definitely a lot more durable than the XL or 3DS (he drops it alot). It has a Fisher Price/vtech/Leap Frog sort of feel to it though. I'd probably reccomend it for younger gamers, but hey, older people work too.

3DS XL is possibly the best option. There are special edition 3DS..es too, like ACNL or a Pikachu one. I got a Pikachu 3DS XL at GameStop a few months back, and guess what - it was my cheapest option cx Anyways, it's a lot more fragile. But I'm sure you won't drop it. It's worth it, trust me. There aren't many colors other than the special edition ones - just red or blue (maybe black).

Hope this helped :3
