I remember when I was in high school, I prompted a lot of websites to get blocked there xD. Of course, all of them forum based xD. I'd imagine if this had been around then, and I came here, it'd be blocked within a few days lol.

Sidenote: It was easy for the computer admin person to keep tabs on websites that distracted people, my graduating class had 84 people in it ^^".

Crackle is best dragon - Rarity is best Marshmallow

Scootaloo is best chicken - Sweetie Belle is best Dictionary

Fluttershy is best tree - Twilight is best Minigun

Rainbow Dash is best turnip bucket - Spike is best Rainbow Dash

All ponies are best pony.

Especially Fluttershy.

Eenope.

In fact, I am at school right now! Luckily, they don't block social networks, forums, blogs, etc. So I can access pretty much any pony related website from here! Hell, even Reddit isn't blocked! (and god knows that you can find some disturbing stuff there :S )

They do block gaming-related websites though, so that's a little sad. But at least I have pony to make up for it! :D

I'm honoured that my humble 5-month-old pony forum has already been deemed dangerous to students' academic progress.

Yo, Feld0, I think you can find a couple'a explanations for this...

Ok, enough joking, why would someone block this site? http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png

It probably isn't blocked at my school though, as Equestria Daily, The CheezBurger Network, Zazub Games, and many other sites aren't blocked there either.

Yo Applejack...

Y'alright?

  • 6 months later...

I'm rather surprised when I found out the forums aren't blocked, since the school almost blocks almost every website. They also have internet blocking hardware, and almost nothing gets passed that.

My school has the same thing. Since it's a forum and you can chat with others here. So it's considered as a chat room. No sense to me.

Or maybe your school has a thing against bronies...Doubtful though

not going to risk it, cause, they can monitor what you do (well, actually my computer teacher only monitors what we do, i dont know about anyone else). i'm pretty sure it is, cause, the school basically uses a elementary, middle school, and highschool server. WTB. I mean, I might as well start up my own WiFi spot cause I want everybody to be able to get onto the internet. I'm pretty sure that it isn't. @Bricker try entering the website by typing https://www.mlpforums.com. It works for YT at my school. It should work on about any website that uses secure browsing

It's not blocked at my school at all :D

Even if it was, I have a way completely around my school's website censoring that is surprisingly not well known: all you have to do is change the URL beginning from http:// to https://

With the simple "s" added in I can go onto every website. YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Rule 34 jk (but I could if I wanted to :P), anything. I have no idea how the school could leave a huge and simple loophole like this.

When I went to HS, there were a good number of sites blocked. But they seemed to have no real criteria for doing so - for example, I could go to a number of large forums, and have no issues whatsoever. But one or two much, much smaller ones (think less than 50 active members) were blocked completely. I could go to YouTube (If I had ever cared to do so) but FB, Tumblr -blocked. Dunno if this place would have made the cutlist, but it didn't even exist at the time.

You know what's funny? It's blocked at my school because, get this, chatting. They think I'm going to chat at school. I don't have to explain the irony, do I?

This one is a tad less creepy. Wouldn't you agree?

My school doesn't block websites.

I am very happy.

Bitch, please! When Argentina ACTUALLY CARES about the Internet, and starts blocking something else that isn't dollars, then more than probably, a ) Cristina somehow moved on (highly unprobable), b ) Cristina and kirchnerism finally stepped dowm from the power (We're all hoping for this. Political or not) or c ) extreme parents made a coup de etat, took down Cristina, and started blocking pages like madmen (this should NOT happen).

Not even the private college I was in a few weeks ago blocked sites like this. Meaning, they just don't care...and I couldn't be happier about that :D .
