Wait, you never noticed he was a monk?

How xD?

I haven't watched the show in years and I was probably too young to make the connection at the time :P

Xiaolin Showdown used to be my favorite show period! I remember watching it with my brothers. They'd do this little dance every time.

I remember this show :D

Best episode was when the Sapphire Dragon zombified everybody except Dojo, and Dojo beat him with hot sauce :)

Also, Omi was totally badass when he

went evil.

I watched a few episodes on and off, I remember the names vaguely. Wasn't it about these destined prodigy kung fu kids spread around the globe, coming to train in a dojo? That's what I recall...

Awww, they took down all of the youtube trailers for the new season. Can't even seem to find nothing more than the new logo for the show.

It was more about the kung fu prodigies fighting various evil people over ancient mystical artifacts with immense power... But yeah.

Aw man, another one of my precious childhood elements.

Xiaolin Showdown was another one of those cartoons that were amazingly animated, had many great voice actors, diverse and well-developed characters, contained an ongoing canon throughout its timeline, and had your everyday cartoon violence and general and intelligent humor.

In other words, it was a great, great show. It was similar to FiM in the sense that, in the pilot, one (Omi, Twilight, both voiced by Strong, go figure ) being is met with four (six) others that are soon to form an immeasurable and unstoppable friendship, as well as having their own "elements". In this case, there were four main charcaters, and each of them had their own elements based off the natural four- water, fire, wind, and earth. I love it when they use those in franchises, just look at the Avatar shows.

In my opinon, it was a highly enjoyable action cartoon that I really interested me back then. It even occasionally touched on many different types of cultural themes. There's actually a new one supposed to come out, dubbed "Xiaolin Chronicles" that is going to air sometime I think in 2013.

Fear not, fellow XS fans, we'll be getting our new show soon enough! Let us hope it'll be a wonderful redemption from the last season's finale! Considering Tara, and hopefully the other VAs will be on the cast, it should be good!

My journey in the fandom started on April 5, 2012. I joined here on April 24, 2012. Where that journey is headed now, who knows...

I can't thank you enough for reminding me of Xiaolin Showdown. I loved it as a kid! Going to watch all episodes again now!

So Xiaolin Chronicles is supposed come out this fall, huh? I should probably rewatch Xiaolin Showdown before the new show starts.

It's been a super long time since I last saw an episode, but man was this show awesome. It has kung fu (or maybe it's wushu; I don't remember), classical elements and mystical artifacts. And I loved how they had the showdowns and they'd have to wager one of their items. It's funny, the only one of the magical items I can remember by name is the changing chopsticks happy.png, and  I do remember some kind of fist weapon but the name escapes me.
