Well, they may be the most liked, but that doesn't mean that all of the RD fans and FS fans are actually going to vote.

 

Without RD, I will be cheering for Pinkie, but what happens if the finale is between Pinkie and Gummy??

if both of Luna's forms lose to a Pinkie Pie (PP herself or her pet) then it's confirmed that Pinkie = Psychic type, Luna = Ghost type

 

That was an error in Generation 1. You might want to switch that or make Pinkie a Dark type. You know, because of Pinkamina.

AJ beating Dash surprised me, too. A lot of bronies here tend to favor Dash and aren't too terribly fond of Applejack. I suppose that when it came down to a vote, the vocal segment of the forum was not as strong as their opinions would suggest.

Dark didn't exist in the days of R/B/Y anyway. It was added to the Silver/Gold generation mainly to counter Psychic, which was too powerful. Steel was also added at the same time.

My own suggestions:

Twilight would be Psychic (due to Teleport abilities) Her evolution, RadipTwi, obviously would be Psychic/Fire dual type. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy would be Flying/Normal. Pinkie would be Normal, and her evolution, Pinkamena, would be Dark. Applejack is Grass/Fighting dual type. Spike is (what else) Dragon type, and his evolution SpikeyGreedy would be Dragon/Dark (due to the greed thing). Rarity would of course be an Ice-type Legendary. (Ice is sometimes used to mean diamonds)

As for move sets:

Twilight: Teleport; Confusion (whenever she explains something to someone); Telekinesis; Future Sight

Rainbow Dash: Rest; Swagger; Wing Attack; Whirlwind

Pinkie Pie: Charm; Metronome (Because she is so random); Faint Attack (Fourth wall ability makes it always hit); Fling (Cakes, that is)

Rarity: Telekinesis; Fake Tears; Flatter; Aurora Beam

Applejack: Stomp; Swift Attack; Leech Seed; Hi Jump Kick

Fluttershy: Leer (for the Stare); Helping Hand; Baton Pass (she likes to let others take the spotlight); Double Team

Spike: Dragon Rage; Flamethrower; Dig; Covet

I know, I originally said Luna was Ghost. Someone said Psychic was weak to Ghost and then suggested Pinkie was Dark, that's why I said she can't be Dark.

When I saw that, I was tempted to post a status update telling Gummy fans to get in here and vote. The problem is the last time I did that was for RD, and she lost as AJ pulled away.

 

I have a terrible sneaking suspicion that if I posted a status update telling people to vote for Gummy, then Nightmare Moon would suddenly pull away as well. I might as well just let things play out.....
