I had guessed that Discord would get more votes, but that many? Come on, people, Nightmare Moon is awesome! And she's actually more dangerous than Discord. She would have ended all life in Equestria if she hadn't been defeated! It's probably a lost cause, but let's see the Nightmare Moon supporters! I am putting way too many sentences that end in exclamation marks!

Nightmare Moon was a good villain, and everyone loves them some Luna... but you gotta give it up for Discord - he's by far the most interesting villain the show has seen so far. From dancing on top of Twi's head in stained glass, all the way to the exploding milk of glass (not to mention the chocolate rain!) he's just had too many awesome moments not to make it all the way out of that bracket - and possibly take it all the way.

 

Derpy's gonna be a tough one to beat tho. We'll see.

I brohoofed that, just because I like people who know their own minds, but I'm in the other camp. I'll vote Discord without a second thought. I mean, quirky background character vs the quirky-to-end-all-quirkiness-forever villain who broke the mane 6 with ease? I'd prefer the canon villain over the fan favourite any day of the week, but unfortunately, most of the fandom is irrevocably wedded to their self-generated fiction. Rather self-indulgent, in my book, but then, who am I to judge? Let's see where this leads.
