Why do people really need to hate

So i was just looking and some anti-brony stuff because well its just funny but i was wondering some times they sound really really mad or pissed to the point of mindless anger towards us

sure you can hate us i got nothing against that but there hate is some times really deep and i don't get it we watch a program and people go to saying things like we need to die our way is best all of us must like kids

it really gets to me that people say we are bad discussing people when there much worse that some of us

i have seen on multiple ocations they go about "meet ups" just to get rid of all of us and just why its not like were trying to bring about world war 3 or anything

this all brings up my question do some people really need to hate on others just to feel better or are people just dicks

Don't judge a book by its cover. You will truly understand it if you're just willing to read it.

You should try having a Youtube icon of a pony, they go insane at that.

Yeah, it's always hilarious to see this giant group of haters who can't do anything to a brony, because they can't change his icon.

They don't need to. But it's easier to hate something that is... different rather than accepting it, trying to understand or just ignoring it. It makes haters feel like they are better than bronies, because they are those "normal" people with work etc when bronies are according to stereotypes just nerds fapping to ponies when nobody is looking. It's just perfect way to boost their ego and it's same reason as in hating every other thing.

But don't mistake haters with trolls. Some bronies are so overreacting over haters whp actually are trolls when best thing to do is ignoring them. Let them waste their life on this silly crusade. It's their mistake, because they can do so many better things with that time. Why should we bother ourselves? Isn't it better to enjoy doing something else rather than getting angry over random kid trolling?

What else except trolling and boosting ego? Well, MLP is known as show for little girls, it worked for such reputation hard for many years with all those overly girly toys etc. Now suddenly new generation had a better message than just random girlieness overload. But people still consider it same as it was despite the fact they don't even watch it. So when they see grown up men watching it they outright make assumptions about them like grown up kids, gays, sometimes even pedophiles and perverts based on their flawed knowledge. So yeah, other reason is just lack of information. And the fact that they don't even try to look for it.

Last reason, I know about? Looking cool. It's "cooler" to hate "those weirdos" rather than being one of them. After all it's bronies who sometimes "hide in the closet", not haters.

These haters only think they know hate. I work in fast food. They have nothing on the malice I feel towards the human race.

Nothing.

But I don't know why bronies get so much hate...something to do with tribalistic social conditioning.

Don't know why brony haters are always portayed as so vile. We bronies have at least as much hate for each other and our favorite ponies.

Maybe we should start there instead of caring what some outside force thinks about us. But i guess it's always easier to blame others instead of oneself.

People think that Bronies get a lot of hate and are treated as deviants that add no value to society.

You know well what it is truly like to be treated as less than human ... hell hath no fury like a burger patron who doesn't get his pickle.

Seriously though .... Classism pisses me off as much as sexism and racism ... sorry for the OT comment.

And did I hear that anti-bronies actually have meet ups? Is that really true?

Anti-Brony hate groups? I wonder how their potluck is? Do they even have a potluck? You can't have a hate group without a potluck.

People pick on bronies for the same reason people pick on minorities or homosexuals: They feel that their lifes suck and it's easier if you got someone to blame for it, ideally someone who somehow deviates from the norm.

As the saying goes: All cruelty stems from weakness.

It saddens me greatly that so many people have to hate others so blindy.  I know a lot of the haters are just trolls, but a lot of the hate is genuine too.  I know it's a little against the norm for us to watch MLP, but it blows my mind that it provokes hatred of such magnitude.  I mean, it's just a f*cking cartoon show.  Is it really so different from watching Rocko's Modern Life or Looney Tunes, or Dexter's Lab or something?  Those are kids shows, too.  People might criticize adults for watching those shows, saying they are immature children or something, but they're not going to want them dead over it.  Or how about Hey Arnold!  That's a non-violent show that promotes positive values and teaches lessons.  Ain't nobody gonna hate so much over that.  People can think it's weird to watch MLP, fine.  But the hate is just ridiculous.  What next?  Are we going to be profiled on NatGeo's Taboo?  That would be freakin HILARIOUS, actually.

I work at a gas station/convenience store in a tourist trap town. I know the malice you speak of. That being said, because we're human and it's an emotion. I wish I had a better answer than that, but I don't. I think it's really that simple

The one thing that doesn't make sense people hate on haters so are they haters too?

and also a brony example a grown man who is single has no friends and has sexual thoughts towards the ponies if this happened before mlp with a different show would it affect the world so much for a show that was originally for little kids would it sound weird to people before bronies existed who would turn into a brony/pegasister

Well we kind of go against how society thinks a person should act. Little girl cartoons have had a long running reputation of being sub par to regular cartoons. Those combined together make a good reason of why someone on the outside would fear us. We are a huge group and we are everywhere on the internet so we do make the easier target for any hate. (That is my understanding so far.)

Trolls and hate are different though because trolls are just trolling for giggles  where as haters can be reasoned with and shown logic and come to a understanding sometimes. Trolls won't listen because they are trolling. If trolls did then we would all have trouble seeing them apart.

Because everyone whose posted in this thread so far also undoubtedly hates something mindlessly and without good reason. We're all human, it's in all of our natures to be assholes and pricks towards something or another. It all just depends on whose PoV you're occupying at [X] point in time, but if you think about it, almost any form of hate in this world is unwarranted. So rest assured, somewhere on the internet, this exact post exists, mirrored perfectly from the fans of whatever you vehemently dislike (I'm calling pop music for a good half of you) wondering 'why?'

Well, speak for yourself.

And even if i would hate something without reason, does not mean that i go out of my way to make the fans of that thing miserable.

The thing is, you can never really know if your actions are being interpreted as hateful or not. I've had quite a few of my personal relationships put on ice because of my behavior, which was just frustration and irritation, being interpreted far worse. Half of a hate crime is how the victim perceives what's going on, and while there is of course a line where it's unquestionably a problem (physical violence, the like), there are grey areas where the perceived offender might not even be aware that what s/he is doing is really that big a deal. Likewise, the side being slighted can respond in different manners. Example, all 'brony hate' is personally for me nothing. I really don't care either way, hence I don't see it as 'hate' per say. I am friends with people who dislike this fandom without issue. But of course, some people would discriminate against me for the hobby and it would be impossible to be their friend, I understand that.

Honestly, it's just a matter of perspective. Are there people whose hate towards us is really unwarranted? Yes. But turn it around on them. They could be good people besides. Turn it around on yourself. You could be viewed in the exact same way by another group of people and not even realize it. This world isn't black and white, it isn't good guy and bad guy.

HHAHAHAAAAAA, It's funny how people ruin their own lives for something silly and that doesn't affect them  :P, just because they don't have power to change that

I know a guy at my school who hates bronies. I mean, I can get disliking them but who in their right mind would waste so much time, and gather so much emotional rage at a fandom they don't approve of?

People hate on bronies, because they don't understand, and because they don't understand, they feel threatened by it and feel the need to hate. It saddens me that people cant just leave the things they don't like alone, and do their own thing. I honestly couldn't care less what anyone else does, as long as they aren't hurting anybody.

There will always be hatred on this Earth, no matter what.  And indeed its sad..............now people hating Bronies.   That's b/c in there point of view, they see it as nothing but a fandom of pedophiles, having a strong obsession to a show that is meant for little girls.  I know, b/c my cousins a cop and told me that, although he's not a hater.  Yet, what many of these, Brony Heretics don't understand and even Lauren Faust, herself told ME.........yes, told ME, that haters don't understand the nature and message of this series.
