Worst Possibilities for MLP Finale (When It Comes)

PonyFunk

Recommended Posts

In the past, certain TV shows have ended with very disappointing "slap-in-the-face" series finales that have angered fans and critics alike.

What should the MLP writers do to stay away from a bad ending to the series?

All of the mane 6((excluding Twilight)) die...oh wait, that might be fairly interesting...

The rest o the 6 become alicorns,

Leaving off with an unfinished story, etc

I'll just go ahead and put the obligatory "Every mane 6 becomes an alicorn" :D

I wouldn't mind, personally, but most of the fandom would, so I'll just go ahead and put that out there :D

In that kind of show, there will be no "real" ending. Unless of course, they all die and Equestria blows up.

Well, not gonna happen.

Each season has a loose story arc. However, since episodes are not really connected together, you can't really have an ending. Except by finishing the story arc, I don't really know.

The 2nd Canterlot Wedding

Twilight Sparkle marries Flash Sentry

The fanbase would die.

Long, self-induced, painful deaths by fire.

That is without a doubt, the worst possible thing. I can't imagine anything more terrible than that.

I like Flash Sentry :(

Anyway, probably with Trixie and Luna teaming up to rule Equestria since all the others are evil, brainwashed fools!

Me too! So much hate on Flash... :(

I think the worst way would be for an abrupt, rushed ending, which seems very out of place and under-developed. If we got a finale like the end of season 4, then that would be a truly awesome way to finish Gen 4! :D

They all git husbandos

Humans show up in equestria but are useless teen age girls

Twilight wins the day by making a wish on a magic muffin

And then they morph into the Zeo rangers for the final fight.

The real life zombie apocalypse starts the day before part two of the finale is supposed to air, so everyone dies never knowing what was going to happen.

It turns out the entire series was a dream and Twilight wakes up back in G1.

M. Night Shyamalan ghost writes the finale.

Humans show up and discover that pony meat is ever better than bacon.

I think that the worst thing they could to would be to drag it out to long, for instance, after 6 seaons the decide to make another 2, then they just completly run out of good ideas and everthing starts to become bland and boaring. And in those other 2 season leading up to 8 seasons, the rest of the mane 6 become alicorns, princess Celestita retires and leaves everything up to Twilight and friends, or worse yet each of the 5 become alicorns and become princess in place of Luna and Celestia and even Cadence.

Just my bit of wild speculations, but I know if any of it actually happened it would drive the fan bas bat shit insane.

Ok, the Alicorn, marriage, and death ideas were already taken soooo

In the last scene a 6 year old human girl with red hair wakes up from a dream and flips on the side table lamp, which illuminates the room. It is filled with carefully set up Pony toys all around her room.

She slumps down into her bed and you hear a disappointed sigh escape her lips. Her mother appears concerned about the fact the light is on. She is voiced by Nicole Oliver who sits on the bed to comfort her daughter Lauren.

Lauren is upset because the elusiveness of an amazing dream. Queue Mom giving some sage advice about holding on to all her dreams ... you never know when they will take flight or some such moral. Lights out ... Popular catch phrase said ... And credit

That ... would ... no ... Just NO

As the finale episode comes to a close, the screen fades to black. Suddenly, Twilight wakes up. Only a few days remain before the Summersun Festival. She turns to Spike, "I just had the strangest dream!"

A Time Paradox occurs, undoing not just the events of every season, but even the events that lead to the Mane 6 to get their Cutie Marks, and more(Ex: Rainbow Dash not leaving for Ponyville on her birthday).

Now THAT would piss EVERYPONY the buck off.

Mane 6 becoming alicorns, so awful.

(I wouldn't be too annoyed if everything was just a dream actually. :) It's not the best end of course, but watching the show again while knowing it's a dream can be fun...)

Twilight and Flash Sentry's wedding would be very bad too.

Worst possible outcomes:

1. Anyone gets married. (Not just Twilight, but any of the Mane 6.)

2. Anyone dies. (Fortunately quite unlikely.)

3. Anyone becomes yet another alicorn or Princess.

4. Twilight takes over in charge of all Equestria.

5. It was all a dream.

6. Events conspire to take the Mane 6 elsewhere all over Equestria, leaving Twilight, once again, alone.

It all a dream

It goes black midsentence

Cancelled after ending with a cliffhanger

Ends on a down note

It will have turned into a different show

What I really wish they do is something like what they did in Stargate or even Star Trek Deep Space Nine. That is, do an open ending (well, they don't have much choice anyway) while making the audience know that it's the end.

People who watched Stargate or Star Trek Deep Space Nine will know what I'm talking about.

It could work. Pull a Sisko with Celestia and have her move on another plane of existence to maybe return, an epic battle won but at great cost (but with MLP it would be buildings and not an entire world devastated) and the leader of the changeling antagonists freely submits to punishment to save her people who are suffering.

Yep I can actually see that as a template :)

DS9 ruled btw

1. Ending leads off to a spin off series (I don't mind a spin off series but give us closure on the story ark you gave us to start with)

2. Cliffhanger ending

3. its all a dream

4. a very powerful villain takes over Equestria, the end.

5. Most loved characters die

6. no real ending, series gets cut halfway through.

7. time flash forwards into the future showing them later in life

8. giant Hasbro robot comes in and removes all ponies

9. time machine, goes back to kill off a major character because they turn out to destroy equestria later.

10. an ending without a samurai appearance.

A samurai pyromancer? That's a bit overpowered.
