Where are these MLP comics?

I have been doing quite a bit of lurking around these forums lately, and I have heard of comics being mentioned more than once. As in official ones. Is this a joke or something or are you all talking about something else, because after a quick search I couldn't seem to find the comics in question (doesn't help that the internet is constantly failing though). Could somepony possibly point me in the right direction of these because not getting references is not the nicest feeling xD

They are very much a real and official thing. (Though most don't consider them canon)

I myself have actually had no luck trying to find them in stores but you can pretty much buy all of them from Amazon!

I've seen them at Hot Topic plenty of times, and I'm pretty sure you can get them at bookstores like Barnes&Noble. There are also digital versions of the comics on itunes

Hot Topic always has them.

 

I've seen them, but I didn't know they were like actual official hasbro comics.  I thought they were some weird fanmade thing.

You might be able to find them in comic shops too. There's a place around where I live called Xanadu that carries them. My friend got them from there once.

I know they sell them at the bookstore a town over, which is a town notably bigger than mine Hitting up bookstores, especially ones that sell other things besides books, is always a good place to start

Just go onto Comixology! They have all the issues there and a third cheaper as well!

Comixology have them all on digital download, i believe because of that they are also the cheapest place to get them. I think they do the volumes on Amazon as well but not the issues. Personally I get mine on eBay when the new issues come out or comic shop whenever I'm in Manchester. However I would hold off eBay for the moment just because of the cyber attacks which have happened recently.

I only had luck at Barnes n' Nobles, they sell the whole volumes there

I got mine off of iBooks/iTunes, so they were somewhat cheaper. I may get them off of comixology at a later point so I can have them on my Kindle Paperwhite (since I lack a proper tablet).
