Nulln 755 May 27, 2014 Share May 27, 2014 Based on all the heavy lifting and constant work he's doing, I'm going to say that's all muscle.

BastementSparkle 20,326 May 27, 2014 Share May 27, 2014 (edited) Muscle weighs quite a bit. That guy can drag a house by himself. How heavy do you think he must be? He's certainly not overweight in the way you're thinking though. Edited May 27, 2014 by BasementPony 1 Twilight is best pony. Why hello MLPForums! What have ya been up to? Shanks 10,816 May 27, 2014 Share May 27, 2014 A belly? Where? Big Mac is pure muscle from years of farm work, he is one of the few ponies that we can honestly say is even stronger than Applejack. 4 Rarity Get's Cockroaches
Jamaican Jam 112 May 27, 2014 Share May 27, 2014 (edited) Possibly, he might have some since having no fat at all is detrimental to your health. But I'm not sure if it's enough to show a gut. Edited May 27, 2014 by Jamaican Jam
XxConfusedUnicornxX 834 May 27, 2014 Share May 27, 2014 Nah I don't think so. I mean, he has to carry a heavy carriage of apples to support his family. So no. I don't think he's fat... But fit. SolidTwilight 383 May 27, 2014 Share May 27, 2014 No I dont think he is overweight, I think he is jacked. I have always hated the term "overweight". how fat some one is and how much they weigh are two different thinks. I am 6 foot and weigh 209 lb (94.8kg) and I have less then 20% body fat. I have a lot of muscle but I am don't look like a body builder. most people never believe how much I weigh when I tell them, all the hight-weigh charts say that I am over wait and with in 6 or so lb's of being obese, but if I drop 5% of my body fat I would have a 6pack. Jadefire 2,797 May 27, 2014 Share May 27, 2014 Horses in general have round stomachs. By real life horse standards, Shining Armor is unusually skinny and Celestia is flat-out emaciated. 5 Ponysona bio, here.
Oblivion 20,266 May 27, 2014 Share May 27, 2014 Not at all, living on a farm myself I can tell you that sometimes you have to lift some pretty heavy stuff, so I am going to agree with the suys that says it's all muscle!
Guest90210 3,568 May 27, 2014 Share May 27, 2014 No way. That's straight muscle from years of relentless work on the farm. It doesn't look like fat to me, just strength and the fact that he's a little bigger in stature compared to most others
_Kurtis 636 May 27, 2014 Share May 27, 2014 (edited) That reminds me of MisterDavie's upcoming movie. He stated that his new movie will feature Big Mac, and that he's going to have "dieting problems". Edited May 27, 2014 by Lil' Brony
Anci3ntArtiFact 66 May 27, 2014 Share May 27, 2014 I believe that Big Mac isn't fat, but actually, that is muscle. HeroSparks 232 May 27, 2014 Share May 27, 2014 Growing up on a ranch and knowing firsthand the work that gets done I can definitely say nope. That's all muscle When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree next to the river of truth, and tell the whole world"No, you move." pony.colin 156 May 27, 2014 Share May 27, 2014 Nah, I'd say he's a good size stallion - with good muscle build. Okay, maybe bigger than your average stallion, given his occupational workload.

Fhaolan 4,483 May 27, 2014 Share May 27, 2014 Big Mac has a very typical draft conformation in my opinion. Plus, you're not used to seeing power lifters are you? It's a different body type from what Hollywood and bodybuilding competitions try to sell as 'strong'. Very few bodybuilders can compete in heavy events as their muscles aren't trained for pure strength.
Red Cedar 1,408 May 27, 2014 Share May 27, 2014 "Overweight" is a very relative term. I remember hearing from a doctor who refused to use Body Mass Index as a measure of obesity because it didn't take all factors into account. one of his patients should have been dead of a heart attack by that measure, but was in fact a national-squad rugby player. At most, if looked at in human terms, Big Macintosh might be the sort of guy with a barrel chest and torso, but still with a huge amount of muscle throughout. Carbon Maestro 1,003 May 29, 2014 Share May 29, 2014 Let's take a look at Big Mac shall we? Now I was thinking because those hooves aren't marshmellowish like Rarity or the rest of the Apple family (Or most ponies, other than Shining Armor), I'm thinking that Big Mac is jacked and tough and wouldn't be fat when working out on the farm all day. The only one who's got a similar build in terms of hooves will be Shining Armor, who's captain of the guard (I'd imagine he'd be muscular too if you run an army). ReverseFaller 2,483 May 29, 2014 Share May 29, 2014 Well, they don't call him "big" mac for nothing, right? He is pretty beefy, although it's muscle not fat. Credit for the signature goes to Kyoshi
Steeplechase 17 May 29, 2014 Share May 29, 2014 Ironically enough, there is a pony at my barn, that I have always thought looks like Big Mac. He has the same type of hooves, a dirty blonde mane, and his coat is an orangey blonde (so not red, but for real life, kind of close). Personality wise, they couldn't be more opposite. I'm trying to find a picture of him to post for comparison because for the type of pony he is, he is exactly in shape for that breed of pony. That's how I've always looked at Big Mac. Oh, and what makes it ironic is that this pony is named "Mack"!
Ianpiersonjdavis 513 May 29, 2014 Share May 29, 2014 No, I'm 100% certain that he's all muscle hence the nickname. As for what actual chubby ponies look like; I'd refer to Snips, that kid with the fez in Cheerilee's class, and the puppeteer from 'Inspiration Manifestation'.
