We need some more winter episodes

I mean it is 1/4 of the year and yet only two, TWO episodes have happened during winter...  Winter Wrap Up in season one and Hearth's Warming Eve in season 2.  Yes we saw snow in the crystal empire due to the latitude but it was still springtime in Equestria.

There are so many things that happen in winter... I mean we are missing snowponies made by the CMC, snowball fights, ponies skiing, sleds, just how much winter clothing the ponies wear, if there is a difference between pegasi unicorns and earth ponies in how they handle winter, and just what the ponies are doing in those months.

We also need more autumn episodes. Out side of luna eclipsed (which I guess takes place around the human Halloween) and I guess fall weather friends, there haven't really been any.

Any episodes that take place outside summer and spring would be nice to see, and you could certainly get some good slice of life episodes out of it.

Right? It seems like in this show - following many others - Spring is always the 'default', and there is only ever any variation when they're making a plot of it.

That's always kind of bothered me. Autumn and winter are my most favorite seasons. I know that's an unpopular view, but I would still say there need to be more autumn/winter episodes (in shows altogether) either way.

I don't see why not, it would be a nice change of scenery from the usual...I guess it's just easier to default to spring/summer because most people prefer the warmer weather whenever weather or season is not an issue integral to the plot.

Applebuck Season is presumably around fall.

Agreed. I love it when cartoons have "normal" episodes set at different times of year. There's a lot of interesting visual opportunities with that.

@@Adorkable, @@Felix, @@Rainboom Dash, don't you mean hearth's warming eve? (look at the decorations)

That was done already, but there could be something near to that holiday.

I understand how you would think that, but it doesn't really seemed focused enough. More around the discovery of Equestria rather than Christmas.

Winter is my favorite season. Besides, the episode doesn't need to be about Chrismas or winter to be a winter episode. The animators could just throw in winter backgrounds because it looks pretty. But I know that'd take work.

Then I would like to totally disagree with you.  I love that MLP doesn't have holidays that would be totally ridiculous* in that setting (the Christian holidays for example) I don't even want the Jewish ones which wouldn't fit in that world (because they'd inevitably mess them up to cringe-worthy levels).

* Where could the messiah have been?  Cristos is the translation of messiah a guy who comes and makes it so that the Jews would be left in peace [where are the Jewish ponies anyway?  And don't say Rarity, that's insulting to the writers and the Jews.]  The Christians took the idea of that messiah and then made it to something like the one who brings God's kingdom to earth.  [still doesn't make sense in MLP world)  In conclusion Christmas doesn't fit in the themes of the world, but they decorate similarly in Hearth's Warming day for that to be their Christmas holiday special.  AND I LIKE IT THAT WAY.

Actually, I've been thinking about this a lot lately.

-For Winter there is just 'Hearth's Warming Eve' and 'Winter Wrap-Up'

-For Autumn there is just 'Fall Weather Friends' and maybe 'Luna Eclipsed' (I'm not sure if that holiday in Equestria is in the same season as we have Halloween or not...)

And I have no idea when 'Bats!' is supposed to take place.
