    It's songs. I think the one in ep 5 will be the CMCs together, not Scootaloo and RD, unless there are multiple songs in that one.

    Of course it's real. There's no reason to doubt it, especially in the context of the other caps. Plus the cap on its own doesn't have any apparent relevance to the plot of the episode. No reason for a fan to make it.

    The CMCs. Stupid, one-note kids that infringed on the exploits of the Mane 6 at first, now I like them maybe a little more than the mane 6.

    Although I hated Magical Mystery Cure with every fiber of my being, I kind of wonder if it may have been a blessing in disguise, since it made the closed-ended nature of the show's episodes before pointless and gave the writers more freedom to do longer character arcs and plotlines.

    Celestia and Luna can still banish him. I think he's settled into his chaotic-neutral "Q" role.

    This was definitely a more story-driven episode than usual, but that was kind of what I was hoping for. I expect they'll be back to their usual slapstick hijinks next week.

    I think everyone can agree that the others ditching Twilight was really unnecessary. Feels like they just wrote that in there because they couldn't think of anything else to fill five minutes with. Other than that a very solid start to the season. Incredible effects, interesting backstory (which I suspect was the main purpose of this episode), Pinkie Pie being Pinkie Pie, and teases good things to come for the rest of the season.

    Honestly, I liked the CMC episodes as a whole better than the Mane 6 ones in Season 3. Right now the Mane 6 seem to be locked into their character quirks while the CMCs have room for growth, so I find them more interesting to watch.

    As of now it's the only semi-canon shipping so it's all people have to go on. Personally I see it as the show's way of relating with unrealistic childhood crushes. Spike would go better with just about anyone else in the show.

    I love this episode. Easily the best of season 3 and instantly shot Scootaloo up my favorite character list (still think Sweetie Belle is best CMC, but Scoot is close).
