  1. Earth Pony super strength is a fanon myth. There's nothing to suggest otherwise; on the other hand . . . ep. 2 - Applejack was unable to pull Twilight up off the cliff. ep. 3 - Twilight is carrying more than A.J at the beginning of the episode. R.D matched the cowpony in a strength contest. ep. 7 - Pinkie, A.J, plus three of the others are unsuccessful in moving a rooted Fluttershy from one spot. ep. 11 - All the earth ponies pulling the plows are males, A.J doesn't pull. ep. 13 - A.J lost in an arm wrestling match to R.D. A.J and R.D match in a pushup competition. ep. 18 - Scootaloo is shown to be the most athletic of the CMCs. ep. 19 - Everyone (minus Rarity and Spike) threw off the diamond dogs. ep. 25 - Rainbow dragged a resistant Pinkie Pie, against her will, across town. S.2 ep. 1 - Rarity carried a large bolder on her back. Twilight also carried a large bolder on her back. S.2 ep. 2 - Rarity carries a large bolder plus Applejack. Twilight fights two earth ponies (Applejack and Pinkie), at once, to a standstill (not bad for a mage type character). Rarity kicks A.J down and makes her back off. Twilight pins Applejack by herself; Twilight and A.J both held down Fluttershy with rope. It takes all of the mane 5 to hold down Rainbow with ropes. R.D knocks A.J to the ground. S.2 ep. 4 - Twilight overpowers Pinkie S.2 ep. 5 - Sweetie Belle and Rarity both place second in an all around physical competition. S.2 ep. 6 - Applebloom has the weakest bowling roll of the CMCs S.2 ep. 9 - The unicorn bellhop carries everything without magic. S.2 ep. 11 - Pegasi were the warrior types S.2 ep. 12 - Sweetie Belle makes a tree bend. S.2 ep. 13 - Poundcake, nuff say. S.2 ep. 14 - Fluttershy, and not Pinkie Pie, pulls the cart to chase A.J. S.2 ep. 16 - The Indiana Jones type character is pegasi. S.2 ep. 19 - Fluttershy beats up one and tosses two earth ponies quite a distance away. S.2 ep. 20 - Twilight moves more fluent as spy than Pinkie. S.2 ep. 21 - Two unicorn and a pegasi tackles a dragon. S.2 ep. 22 - a female pegasi is shown lifting a thousand pounds with just her wings S.2 ep. 26 - A.J is the one overpowered during a fight S.3 ep. 6 - Sweetie Belle hauls more than Scootaloo? S.3 ep. 7 - The overly buff character is a pegasi. S.3 ep. 13 - Pinkie can't buck trees Like I said, earth pony physical power is a myth. However, it doesn't mean they don't have something going for them. Keep in mind that they can't flying away from danger or hid behind magic and in the mountains, but their culture has allowed them to push through despite it all. In turn, they have grown and produce some of the best food Equestria has ever known. And if mlp fans really want to push further and look for something, A.J's grandmother and her friends seem to have been around for quite a long time and there are more known earth pony towns and cities.
  2. Looking at some of these, I got to wonder. I don't think that "Spike is dragon therefore . . ." is a good enough argument. I was thinking along the lines of in-show examples. There are a good amount these examples where Spike's dragon nature is not controlling him and he's acting on his own self interest. Anyways, worrying about who would be more dangerous is a whole other discussion.
  3. For the record, I'm not trying to take anything away from these characters. It is possible to be both selfless and selfish. People are constantly doing a balancing act with these two everyday. Greed seems to be both these characters' major flaws. Think about what you've seen in the show; In which is this flaw more present in?
  4. While I agree that Scootaloo's characterization is the weakest of the CMCs, it still doesn't explain why she's attacked so much for not flying yet. She's not the only one who does this. ^ I know people harp on the parent thing too, but I don't need to see every mom, pop, brother, sister, or living details for every recurring character on the show. However, I do get what you're saying. I want her to be more than an RD fangirl and get out of that shadow.
  5. I kinda agree with the TC: won't mind if they made Rainbow Dash more feminine sometimes, but I won't make the change permanate.
  6. I've grown use to all the voices. Here are where my first impressions of the show come in handle. From least to favorite: 6. Rarity- While I like it now, I didn't use to; Even until this day, the voice is a slight mismatch: she sounds like someone's aunt rather than a younger pony. Lot of effort in the acting though. 5. Applejack - also didn't care for this voice at first. I don't like how Ashleigh made it deeper as the seasons wore on. Now she sounds like a large, middle age, strict caretaker at a rundown child's center. The early version of the voice had the right amount of femininity. 4. Rainbow Dash - Not bad. Can be slightly rough on ears at times. 3. Twilight - Tara does a really good job. I like how she sounds knowledgeable but not a know-it-all. Glad that the voice sounds different enough from Tara's other main characters so I don't hear them. The only thing is that I've heard other good versions of the voice (from people who put their own spin on Twilight), and I can heard them as Twilight too. 2. Fluttershy - I love the softness and gentleness of it. Reminds me of a Disney princess. A different spin on this would not work, but I've heard fan mimics of the voice that would be good enough for the show. 1. Pinkie Pie - This voice is just amazing, the bounciness, its high pitch. All the other voices for the mane 6 could be plugged in to fit older characters (up to age 40), but this, it just sounds young and fitting for the age group the character is suppose to be in. Not only that, but Pinkie's voice is truly fitting for a pinkie, bright eyed, cartoon pony. I can't see/haven't seen any other person topping this or mimicking it successfully.
  7. . . . doing her pony race trait? I'm no Scootaloo fan, but it's a little annoying how much she's dogged by many for not flying. It doesn't really seem fair. Scootaloo is the only young pegasi of her age group around to serve as a norm; What others are shown are never around long enough to serve as a good second example. Sweetie Belle has not even shown the slightest magical talent, even as she more likely had someone to help her along with this than Scootaloo. Interestingly enough, Rarity did do magic when she was little. Add to this that her less brighter classmate (Snails) has pulled off a spell (ep. 6). Actually, looking at Applejack, Big Mac, Granny Smith, Pinkie Pie, the Cakes and many other earth ponies, I'm surprised that no one has given grief to Applebloom yet for not being good with food or growing it (I mean her not even getting cupcakes right after X tries is a clear opening). So why does Scootaloo get mocked more? I know some people are going to point to the chicken joke and it's influence, but I could over blow the horn flop joke from Bridle Gossip, which was made earlier, apply it to Sweetie Belle and get the same humor. Or, just apply the chicken joke to Fluttershy and, boom, now the joke works twice as well and hits both meanings. Overall, there's this sense that some fans really are being hard on Scootaloo and are quick to reduce her character down to a bandwagon pun. So, is there something I'm missing or is Scootaloo getting it more unfairly?
  8. 1. Applejack 2. Twilight 3. Fluttershy 4. Pinkie Pie 5. Rarity 6. Rainbow Dash The second half of my list is always changing, so it can be really hard to rank them (I like each for a different reason). Twi and AJ tend to be the most relateable for me.
  9. ^ Ok then, sorry. Yes, I want Rarity and Pinkie to be used more in Twilight's plans in season 4. ^ I don't know, Rarity was surpringly effective in her area: If she didn't try to take advantage of the situation, understandable, she would have done Fluttershy's job for her. ^ There were moments Pinkie was calling for their attention; One scene had the gang running off as Pinkie was still talking. One can't help but consider that Twilight not taking Pinkie seriously was a factor. In fact, this was made an issue five episodes later. As for Rarity, you yourself should know that getting dirty has not stopped Rarity from doing what needs to be done, although she doesn't like it (Look Before You Sleep, Dog and Pony Show, Sisterhoove Social). ^ You're saying that Applejack is the easiest to hold down and overpower of the group? ^ You might be stretching a bit much on some of these. I'd be too afraid to jump AJ without any support. Rarity running up a hill? Even if her house has like a dozen and one secret doors and escape routes, she would never leave Tom behind for me. Besides, if Rarity attacks with magic, Twilight can counter, so she'd be the first choice to use the memory spell on. Pinkie's the worst fighter of the group. If Rarity uses her magic to seal all the windows and doors while Twi grabs her, it's a done deal. From there, either Fluttershy or A.J will do: A.J to rope the former or Fluttershy to help in ganging up on the cowpony. ^ You can argue her being tired for the other times too. I would trust the pony who dealt with lacing up things the most to tie up lose ends. With Pinkie, they're in a balloon! Who better to maintain it and keep it steady than her (she's done it before)? More examples of Twilight not being able to utilize them properly. ^ Maybe. Rarity's usually good at understanding social behavior. Not sure what to say about A Bird in a Hoof though. ^ I doubt they knew they would leap a train, even so, Fluttershy's not that strong. I doubt the cart would be in the air for more than a few seconds (note how she was breathing afterwards). Besides, they were chasing an earth pony in a carriage pulled by other earth ponies in the flat lands of an open desert, how would they have guessed they needed to fly? ^ How is Rarity and Pinkie forgotten after A.J was coaxed into coming home. Who's seen as the leader of the group? ^ Oh, they were underused alright. Half the fandom believes that Pinkie can do anything and Rarity is always surprising us with what she can accomplish (right hooking a changaling indeed).
  10. ^^ Yeah, I agree with you: It's more like just the state of things. Which I find a little wired. I won't mind if they showed this bond better in season 4. ^ I would argue of him serving a different role. Even with what you said in mind, does the show go too far with it sometimes? If yes, what caught your attention. If not, what would be the limit of hits/punishment Spike could take for comedy sake?
  11. Let's compare the actions of the main characters: Pinkie, (despite their differences, they seem to treat one another as true equals) - Pinkie showed concern for Spike when she just saw him hiccup, wondering if her prank when too far (ep. 5). She shared the commentary spot and made him co-host (ep. 13). Actually jumped off a moving train to try to save him (have wings she does not). They both performed together on stage (ep 21). She was actually the first to use the endearing name for him (ep 24). For helping her, Pinkie gives Spike a whole patter of gems. Spike was actually at her birthday party (ep. 25). Might of had a part in the Cakes making a cupcake for him (note that no one else outside the mane 6 knew it was his birthday). Spike was in on the whole madam Pinkie business (IAT). She even messed with the wedding dolls with him and let him stand on her head (ACW). Applejack - She waited for Spike as he got his ticket (ep.3). It was her and not Twilight who ran up to Spike after he was recused and reunited with the gang (ep. 21). She gets up to let Spike into the changing room where as Rarity refuses (ep. 26). Her liar version tells him that he "brings out the worst" in them (RoH). A.J's present to Spike is the biggest of all and he's seen using it in Dragon Quest. Twilight runs to A.J first to ask for help with Spike (SME). Applejack actually worries about the dragon getting hurt doing tasks for her. Just plain won't take advantage of him. Pretty much lets Spike bug the heck out of her for an entire episode without once even getting mad at him (SAYS). Rainbow Dash, one can argue that out of the others, she's a bit of a jerk to him. However, she's also done some surprising things - Goes after Spike into dangerous territory to save him (ep 21). Reads into Spike's feelings better than Twilight and realized he was hurting inside. The first to the door to let Spike into the changing room (ep. 26). Went off to make sure Spike would be ok. Nearly drags Twilight and Rarity into a lava pit when she thinks Spike is being carried off by a dragon. The first to threaten the dragons as they are turning on Spike (DQ). Rainbow made sure Rarity paid Spike and she even gives him extra advice on pet sitting (JFSK). Remembered Spike and mentioned that he should've come along to the welcome (S3. ep 12). Fluttershy - Even though she has a phobia of his kind, she makes an exception for Spike. Tries to put him to bed even as she barely knows him. The only pony to hold Spike using both her hooves (ep.1). Asks Spike if he's not coming to join them (ep. 9). Offers Spike the biggest gem for helping her (JFSK). Now compare these actions to those done by the ponies Spike cares for the most: Rarity - Offered only one gem for Spike's help out of the many she collected, even after he tried to save her life (ep.19). Didn't mind sticking needles in him and his fanning her. Also, in not watching her footing, had stomped his tail repeatedly (ep. 20). Gives him the exact same thing she would make for a pet owl (ep. 24). She doesn't mind Spike getting dirty for her sake (ep. 25). Takes away Spike's birthday gift to himself. Gives him the smallest present out of everyone and publicly claims during his party to make everyone but him a new outfit (SME). Swoons over a guy after knowing Spike's feelings (SSC 6000). Has him carry more than he can manage (CE). Admits that if she was in Applejack's position, she won't mind being served forever (SAYS). Doesn't think of paying Spike and later gives him the smallest jewel (JSK). Twilight, these two are suppose to be the closest, yet sometimes I wonder how their relationship would pan out if Spike hadn't known her beforehand. - The Spike abuse seems strongest from her: Twilight has caused Spike to fall from a great height, smashed the door in his face, sent him flying into the book shelve (ep.1). Shut off his means of speaking and slams a door at his face (ep. 6). Showed no concern for a rock knocking him upside the head as he was helping her(ep. 15). Apparently has him cook her breakfast a lot of mornings ((ep. 25)) who's the younger one here again?). Has rammed his head into a stand (L.Z), bucked Spike off her back (C.P), used him like a coat rack (CP), threw him against a wall (IAT), smacked him upside the head for not lying (H.F), dropped a gigantic book on the dragon and had him to carry it around, smashed the door on his face again (the door thing seems popular), and purposely attacked him with magic while he was trying to reassure her (C.E). The fact that Spike grabbed a means to protect himself shows that the last is not an odd occurrence and that this action might hurt him. Spike has been left behind several times by her and he wasn't even seen on her Birthday (a point that was acknowledged by Dragon Quest). On his birthday, Twilight gets him the same thing she would likely get herself (a book), every single year (SME). Now, have Rarity and Twilight done good things for Spike? Yes, yes they have. Season 2 I think improved on this greatly. However, there's such a lack of balance with these two. Consider that the other 4 have less of a reason to be nice to Spike: Not only do they spend less time with him, but Spike clearly gives more attention and consideration to Twilight and Rarity. Their relationship is different and it should be, after all, one would expect that a friend would treat you better than a classmate. So why does it seem like he's better off with the others? What are your thoughts on this? Is Spike treated better by the others? What needs to change or what doesn't have to change? --
  12. It's likely the wooshing sound of Fluttershy being yanked up. If you think they kissed then you'll have to consider Rainbow's move on A.J in Mare Do Well too.
  13. ^ If by eggheadness you mean being able to read a book like the other mane 5 then yes, I would say that Rainbow Dash did show that side of her. Now the trick is to see if she'll read anything other than Daring Do.
  14. ^ I don't think it was cause of the dresses; Seems like she was more upset with herself. In a way it's ironic: The two ponies most likely to cry in a situation, Rarity and Pinkie, didn't, yet A.J did.
  15. You made some great points. I'm really torn here. Her best friend's coronation and sappy speech aside (where everyone else teared up too), Applejack only cries when something really bad happens: she cried when her family nearly lost the farm and also after such an important event held by her family was ruined and her home destroyed. So, if such a stubborn pony is crying, she must be suffering. On the other hand, being thrown into a pot by fork and spoon wielding animals is pretty bad too.
  16. ^ But this isn't about who had a shot or who didn't. Twilight didn't really use them well. The fact that there were other things they could do just makes it worst. ^ I'm not sure what scene you're talking about. Fluttershy brought the creatures there in the first place and kept extra afterwards. Applejack, however, used both Fluttershy and Rarity, with Twi and R.D who were around, to round up the Parasprites. ^ Assuming it was Rarity who gave the first order, and not the reminder, how does this disprove my overall point? ^ It doesn't matter. It's not canon, just an idea like cake eating Applejack and teacher Luna for Twilight. And in the context of the whole, this is still bad. ^ You think Fluttershy is faster and that Pinkie can't keep up with Rainbow Dash? Pretty sure Rarity can make a rope to catch A.J. As for the second point. Again, how does this disprove what I'm saying? ^ Yes, but whose idea was it to try her out in the first place? I should remind you of him. Many are saying that Pinkie and Rarity can only be useful in narrow situations. The problem with saying this is that Fluttershy must be included here, and in most of the examples I've given, she's not used for her animal ablities. Others in the show seems to be able to find value in their help. Why does Twilight have more trouble? --
  17. ^ The thing is when AJ is used it's not for strength. It's for one of her other talents or she takes charge of the situation herself. Pinkie has many talents and can get serious when the situation calls for it. I would certain count on Pinkie's speed. ^ Rarity got dirty for her sister and proved to be surprisingly athletic on the Sisterhoove Social course. She carried around a giant bolder before and can cart around as much as the others. She fought off changlings boxer style and even kung fu kicked A.J down. Rarity turned part of a tree into decorative ornaments. Since she works with all types of material, I'm sure she could tie a rope together.
  18. ^ I'm just trying to get people to think. I've noticed a lot of fan art likes to make Rainbow Dash smaller than everyone else for some reason, while A.J's always larger. To me, this makes no sense. At the very least, R.D should be able to go toe to toe with Applejack. These two are athletic rivals for a reason. ^ They arm wrestled twice. A.J struggled to move her the first time. Rainbow flat out beat her the second time. Dash also fights using her forearms more, while A.J only fights using her backlegs. ^ Fluttershy can't carry anypony on her own. I'm glad you mentioned the mountain incident my fellow mlp fan. Rainbow Dash actually dragged a struggling Pinkie Pie against her will from her house all the way to Sweet Apple Acres. AJ dragged a nonresistance Fluttershy partly up the way. Many fans hold the fanon that earth ponies are stronger than pegasuses, so the former act is seen as more impressive. ^ Dash knocked a grown stallion high into the air and caught him on her back. Also, in the same episode, she shouldered a large statue on her back (balance issue aside). ^ It does. It means that the pegasuses might have the advantage in overall strength after over a thousand years of battle culture and conditioning. A mare being able to lift 1000 pounds with just wings is impressive. ^ Dash can't carry four ponies at once, so that means they were still needed to hold her in place. As for the second point, watch the video carefully. In addition to using her legs, A.J stops the carriage smartly. She angles her body better and displaces the force more and digs more into the ground. Using it as an ally. In addition, the ground levels off better. ^ You still have to take into account body endurance. Dash used her body to karate chop and nuke a barn. Face it, A.J fights more well rounded, (using projectiles and more wit) but RD's a freakin tank. -
  19. I've notices sort of a trend: Dragonshy - Twilight was relying on Fluttershy's animal skills the most. Rainbow Dash was send to clear the smoke for visibility. Applejack to assault the dragon from a distance if things got sticky. Rarity and Pinkie were lumped together to "distract" a full grown dragon for A.J. Swarm of the Century: After Fluttershy's "pets" go out of control, Twilight thinks of Applejack first to deal with the situation. Later, as she goes crazy, Twilight tries to plan using Rainbow. Rarity is left out and Pinkie is just plan ignored. Return of Harmony part 1: Twilight had Rainbow gather the pink clouds. A.J rounded them up and Fluttershy convinced her animals to get rid of them. Pinkie and Rarity are left out. Return of Harmony part 2: Twilight recuses Applejack first, then Fluttershy. Rarity and Pinkie are the last two (Rainbow Dash is out of the picture at this time). In Twilight's plan B to get back Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy was to hold RD down as A.J lowered Twilight on the rope to cast the spell. Pinkie and Rarity were once again left with nothing to do. In Plan C, Twilight has Fluttershy pull the balloon while A.J tries to rope R.D. Pinkie is apparently told off screen to "secure the rope" by someone, maybe since Twilight's hooves were tied. Yet Twilight secures the rope herself after Pinkie and Rarity are pulled out of the balloon. Luna Eclipse: Twilight doesn't go to either of the two to ask them to help Luna. The Last Roundup: When chasing A.J, Fluttershy and Rainbow are pulling the wagon even though Fluttershy's not that strong or fast. While Pinkie Pie is part of a plan that episode, it's not Twilight's. Both Rarity and Pinkie are left and forgotten in the desert. It's About Time: Applejack is sent to Everfree forest and fixes the dam. Rainbow Dash is sent with her team all over Equestria. Pinkie and Rarity mostly do assists and smaller tasks. The only time I can think of where Rarity and Pinkie are used properly in Twilight's plans is when A.J's farm was at stake in SSCS 6000. There's no question in my mind that Twilight cares about all her friends, but are Rarity and Pinkie underused in group efforts? -
  20. I wonder if anyone ever considered that A.J could be smaller in design as a human than the others? The Poison joke had a funny effect on her, and she's still related to Granny Smith (who doesn't seem that big by design and still shares A.J's blond hair).
  21. ^ People forget that the ponies pulling the plows were all males (A.J didn't pull), so compared to them Twilight is smaller. I agree with others on why A.J won't be fat. Don't think A.J's would be very buff or muscular though. People tend to give A.J way too much credit and R.D very little on this. - Rainbow Dash is stronger than A.J in the arms department. Her job entails more usage of this area. - Applejack is stronger in the leg area, but the rest of her seems pretty average: Keep in mind that Big Mac works the plow, not A.J. - Rainbow Dash has been shown more than once to be able to carry at least one pony. At one point she flew dragging two ponies. A.J struggled to keep Twilight from falling off a cliff and was force to drag a non-resistance Fluttershy up a mountain. - Pegasuses have been shown to be the more warrior type than the earth ponies - A.J can kick trees, R.D can literally knock the base off of several at once. - When A.J couldn't use her legs, Twilight was able to hold her down without much trouble to use magic on her in Return of Harmony part 2. R.D and a changeling have also knocked A.J down and held her there. It took four, include A.J, to hold Rainbow down against her will.
  22. Twilight has put Rainbow in her place a couple time, but A.J seems more successful here. Rainbow Dash is the most confrontation and quickest to anger of the main six, yet she lets Applejack get away with yanking her tail around and using strong wording (and I'm pretty sure Rainbow's not afraid of confronting A.J). Twilight may be a better strategist, but I think Applejack's a better leader. That she's able to lead Rarity and Rainbow Dash, two of whom have fought with her in the past and who are the closest thing to rivals for her (the former with a completely different way about herself that A.J can't understand and the latter who opening competes/fights with A.J on almost everything), is actually quite amazing. Pretty much Twilight would have to lead Trixie around to get the same result. Add to this that A.J has lead the others several times. In the Crystal Empire she even took control of the situation when Twilight went fangirl on the library and held back the crowd later on. Finally, people seem to just do things for A.J, sometimes without her asking: S2. ep 3 - Rainbow tearing down her barn S2. ep.14 - her friends going after her even after she left a note, willing to chase her down in the middle of nowhere S3. ep. 9 - Fluttershy walks her dog S3. ep. 8 - Spike acting as her lighter S3. ep. 9 - Spike willing to sever her forever S3. ep 10 -Fluttershy helping her with her flood problem
  23. A long time ago, I argue/debated with a poster friend with regards to Applejack. While he claimed to be an A.J fan, he always put her down, basically saying that she's always at a disadvantage cause she's an earth pony, others can do what she does, and that she never successes at anything. So, I came up with the other end of the extreme argument: that Applejack has so much ownage that she's a potential Mary Sue. Why: - A.J tops the other mane 5 in some of their key areas or values: Twilight - both in and out of show, A.J's considered as level headed or more so than Twi. and just as perceptive. A.J has also been shown to be as good of a leader. Even those that are the closest thing to rivals, and have feuded with her before (Rainbow Dash, Rarity), allow A.J to boss them around. Rainbow- equal as athletic as Rainbow, just as fast as her, on ground. Maybe even more loyal. Pinkie Pie- at least as good of a baker as Pinkie Pie and an overall better cook than her Rarity- without even trying, A.J has achieved the social status that Rarity so desires. Her family helped found the whole town and she's quite well known outside of that cause of her deeds, and if A.J wanted to, she could pack up, move to Manehattan, and live the high end life amount the social elites. Fluttershy- arguably as kind as Fluttershy, but not held back by social fears, deals with just as much animals on a daily bases. Just as nurturing. - Even when she does wrong, she does right: Ep.3, first to give the ticket back to Twilight. Ep.8, admits to Rarity she was wrong. Ep. 13, for most of it, tries to win fairly. S2. ep.26, personally apologizes to Twi. - Two episodes have showcase how much of an ideal sister she is. - Two episodes involve everyone appreciating her and going out of their way for her. - She's been celebrated by the entire town, twice (not even Twilight got that) - She's saved the main character's life, twice - She's saved the main character's assistant, twice. - A.J got her own flashback montage in The Return of Harmony - Considered by many to have the most noble reason to go to the Gala - Considered by many to be the only one of the group to have "kept it together" and not have gone ape by this point - Manage to troll Celestia, morally and didn't have to learn a lesson - The only single pony to ever get one over Pinkie Pie and actually get to her - No one seems to think she's capable of doing wrong. Even on this site, A.J was voted least likely of the others to become evil. As by this list, A.J does have a lot of postives going for her. In many regards, she may be overpowered. At one time, I would say that A.J was the closest thing to a Mary Sue on the show. However, I think A.J has just enough flaws and disadvantages to prevent this (I can list these too). And, I'd say that Twilight runs a greater risk for this now, as she's recently lost the last of her major flaws, has decent physical strength, now, insane political power along with amazing connections, has even more powerful magic, and finally, has nearly as much positive character traits as A.J, but with little cost to herself. So, what are your thoughts on this? --
  24. 1. Probably how talking, magical ponies can only have a lifespan equal to or less than that of a human, and how Spike is destined grow up, live and die alone in misery. 2. Mostly anything largerly assumed about a background character with no prove. Ex: "Looks like he wants to be on time. Certainly, that must not say anything about his character, so let's assume he's a travel traveler!"
  25. We know a little bit, now, on how the main characters' childhoods were like. Each of the mane 6 had disadvantages while growing up. Likely disadvantages for them (These are ones I can think of, you can add more or less): Twilight: Did not have many friends growing up, maybe none at all. Applejack: Lost her parents when she was younger than Applebloom, raised by a single grandmother. Rarity: Lived with parents that probably didn't understand her. Might of had pressure to meet deadlines early on as she is seen working on costumes for a play before. Rainbow Dash: Had a couple rivals that verbally bullied her. Fluttershy: For a time, was a weak flier living in a cloud city Pinkie Pie: Had to do family work that she hated So, who likely had the roughest childhood? Try ranking them also. Who would of had the least to worry about growing up?
