Rude customers who demand everything goes their way even when our self-checkout machines are having problems and don't function the way they want them to. As if they know how our machines work internally 100% of the time! They have no idea how hard we workers work so that they can give us their business and we can give them our products.
If you ask me the saying "the customer is always right" is nonsense. if a customer flat out lies that they weren't stealing something despite video evidence to the contrary, would that automatically make them right? No, it makes them a liar and a shoplifter. And trust me, somebody actually broke the lock on our alcohol rack a few months ago during one of my shifts.
Whatever happened to the Golden rule? Treat others the way you want to be treated
