  1. Best pony: Apple Bloom Best princess: Celestia Best race: Earth Best mane 6:
  2. I've seen weird things. I just wasn't expect this. It still would have a hard time topping a penny disintegrating in front of you.
  3. I'm actually slightly afraid of what chemicals are in my coin purse part of my wallet. The smell was so bad I gagged. Edit: Oh, and hi.
  4. So I had coins literally disintegrate into dust at a Wawa today. Thankfully the cashier took them anyway. Also, hi.
  5. Hi. I'm here. And now I have to work! Bye! I will probably be back later.
  6. As much as I love Chrysalis, the trailer made it look like she's just in there because stuff. That worries me a bit. Also, for those who don't know, this movie is supposed to be after season 2. Kind of an alternate reality thing. That means no twilicorn and no good guy Discord.
  7. It would be interesting if it did get as big as the Trekkies or Star Wars fans. I still think we're smaller than Doctor Who. That show had a spotlight on youtube for the next Doctor reveal. We don't have anything close to that. The thing is with ponies is that it's much more polarizing fandom wise than other shows. I can go up to anyone in America, and there's more than a 50% chance that they like Star Wars. Finding a really big fan, though, is somewhat hard. With MLP it's usually you're a big fan or you just don't care at all.
  8. I feel that most of the people who are seeing this all as fracturing and fatal are those who haven't been a part of such a group before. We may have our issues with Equestria Girls and Twilicorn, but we are no where near as fractured as the Doctor Who fandom over the new series. It's just natural and human, since people don't always agree on things and not everyone has the capacity to tolerate that. Not to say that this isn't upsetting at all. Of course in fighting isn't good, but we have already been through so much without falling into groups that out right hate each other on sight. We've been through one of the roughest periods we'll probably ever have to face, as it was the first time we had major in fighting with these two things, and we'll be ready for it when it comes again, and it will, in the future. As to R34 and celebrities, as much as some of use may know are be concerned about this stuff, most really don't, or just flat out ignore it. Unless you're a die hard fan, those issues usually don't creep up in people's thoughts.
  9. I know about at least two internet radios for pony music, but since my job involves driving around for hours at a time, I was wondering if anyone knew a 'station' that I could listen to on my phone. It seems that all the ones I do find are completely incompatible with Android software.
  10. Oh don't worry. Some of us do. If I ever have a movie marathon of B movies like Sharknado, I'm putting this in there. I was laughing so hard at the end when SS turned into a demon.
  11. Not only did they say that they're staying in Baltimore, but how many people do you think would be completely pissed if they moved it that far? We already had a huge upset last year, and that was only because they moved it 4 hours away from the 2012 location. Moving it to Florida, like so many here have suggested, would be days away, and they'd be killing off so many passes of people who go since they're in the area, without picking up as many who live in the new area for a number of reasons. If you already have ill will due to major changes like this, so many people will be reluctant to go because they won't feel like they can trust the con. You also have the blatant fact that NY/Philly/Baltimore are super populated and super close to each other, and make Florida look like a barren wasteland. Populations according to Wikipedia (metro): Baltimore - 2,690,886 Philadelphia - 5,965,343 New York City - 18,897,109 Orlando - 2,134,411 Tampa - 2,824,724 Miami - 5,564,635 For non-location suggestions, I suggest we don't have Bronypalooza on the 3rd floor. Something with that much movement and stuff (you know, 1.6 and everything) should be on the groundest floor possible. I don't know the layout for the convention center, though, so this may not be feasible.
  12. Oh, yeah. Of course the whole AK thing was a joke, but there were so many points where she knew where the crown was and could've done something about it in an in character way. She could've snatched the box from VP Luna with the help of her friends and ran off. She could've just ran through the portal when she had spike and the crown and SS was just threatening to hit Rainbow Dash in the face with a sledgehammer.
  13. So I've read through all of this thread except for the giant WoT's going around about how magic works, and I'm really surprised no one asked this question. Why did Twilight burst in with an AK, fire warning shots in the air, demand the crown, and leave? Ok, maybe she wouldn't know where to find a gun, but the point stands. There were plenty of times where she knew exactly where the crown was, and could've just taken it and left.
  14. Thanks a lot for the help. My only problem I'm finding with that site, though, is that I can't look up the prices of promo cards, and those are the ones I'm most interested in watching.
  15. Closest I ever got to a fight is a guy would knock down a shove aside the figurines I would put in front of my PS3 at college. So yeah, not being in school with a bunch of [redacted] helps a lot. As Rockymoo said, it's something to look forward to.
  16. Someone brought up Twilicorn, and I think that's the biggest point towards this topic that anyone has brought up. This does prove that things can be shaken up. I understand it was forced upon them, and not a writers decision, but it still happened, and it still has the story changing repercussions. We also have the Crystal Empire, which brought up whole new possibilities. If they can do this Doctor Who approach, and keep things fresh while still a bit familiar, we could go on for a good long while.
  17. I was wondering 2 things. 1st, where is a place where I can find or do good research on current card prices? I would look this up, but due to the nature of my question, what I find might be considerably dated. 2nd, would getting a VA to sign a card of their character make it worth more or less, especially with the exclusives or goldens? I would think this would be a no brainer yes, but back when I played Magic, I had some cards signed by the artists, and that made them worth less (or at least I was told).
  18. Play is a very vague term so I'm going to just say what I do. I have a luna plush that I sleep with and sometimes carry around. I used to do that with a Rarity, but I gave it to my friend for his birthday (before you say anything, that was the plan the entire time). I have blind bags that I carry around EVERYWHERE (we call it the army, and it's always in my bag). I display them in front of my PS3 when practicing Soul Calibur 5, and sometimes I get them out and mess around with them. Everything else I have is a print or button, and I just display or wear them. I also have a bunch of cards, but I don't know how to 'play' with them (not until November, at least! Woot!). And since I believe this is important, I'm 21 and male.
  19. I have a hard time personally with public pony stuff. I would love to get RBD stuff, since I feel I identify with her the most, but I'm frequently in areas where homosexuality is looked down upon, so rainbows are a bit of a taboo.
  20. The thing is about ponies is that the fandom is very faithful and loyal. It's less like other shows like Game of Thrones or most anime, where fans come and go with it. It's much more like Doctor Who/Star Wars/Star Trek (huh, they all happen to be sci fi, weird). I feel that even if FiM ends, the fandom will endure for a while. We will also probably have a bunch of G4 lovers who hate the new stuff, but stay anyway (again, like those 3 sci fi shows). This is how I feel, but I'm uncertain. If the fandom is still going strong after season 4, then I'll be much more sure. We already had the hump of season 3, so we need to see how well we survive. I personally like season 3, but I felt that if season 1 was 10, season 2 was turned up to 11, while season 3 stayed at 11. If we can survive the period that separates fads from long running fandoms, this hump that we are currently in, we will definitely be in it for the long haul. There is so much more I could post about this, like how they've decided to go with a Trading Card Game, which needs to be long term, and how BronyCon doubled it's numbers, or how season 4 is back to 26 episodes, but all signs are currently pointing toward the long haul. We just need to hold out for a bit longer.
  21. You have no idea how long I've looked for something like this. (hint: about 2 years)
  22. Good luck! Maybe you can get some pointers from following the "The Last of Harmony" and "Journey of the Spark" teams! I had a friend who was into films, but gave up because he thought it was too much luck based. DO NOT BE LIKE HIM! Keep going until you make it!
  23. You're from Bronycon? http://youtu.be/1fS_qCvkZYk I hope to see you around too! Welcome, I think! Thanks for the welcome. I'm not used to this editor, but I'm trying not to double post! Edit: So I just realized who I'm talking to...
  24. My biggest problem right now is that I can't find the information I was shown when logged in for the first time. It said some things on there I want to see again. Like it said something about a specific Blank Flank place that I can't find.
