  1. Same as my name, with no spaces. DerpyDefenseForce. Excuse the slightly strange real name I have listed on Skype... I was bored.
  2. Awesome! A Skype chat. Just have to find it in the mess of posts on this thread...
  3. Now, I may be overstepping my bounds here, and I will delete this post if asked. I want to address something personal here. I did not have the same situations as you, Datte. Nowhere near that. I never wondered about where the next meal was coming from, or if the power was still there when I would get home. No, I had nothing like that. But I've been in your mental mindset. I know how you feel. I can understand where you're coming from in the whole "If God appears, then I'll be right there, but until then, whatever". I used to think it for a time. I just wanted you to know one thing. Everyone who said it's all a part of God's plan was unknowingly lying God's plan for someone is to have them wondering this, wondering what's going to happen to them? Essentially if they can survive to the next day? Bull. No, that isn't God's plan. I'm not here to change your mind or try to convert you. I just wanted to let you know something you've probably already figured out: That was not God's plan. Again, not trying to make you switch sides. And I won't go any deeper on the subject, at least not on a public forum. If you want to, my skype is on my profile. I don't expect you to use it, but that's your business. Hope this helped some, despite the repetition and lack of detail. Have a nice day or night, depending on when you're reading this. --Derpy Defense Force
  4. First, you're not alone. While I don't have a single specific imaginary friend, I can always be counted on to come up with a stituation for literally any premise. Or so I'm told. Second, a few things that help me when I'm running dry: 1. I keep a few... case files, for lack of a better term, as references for my imagination to go back and expound upon. Having something already made and established often helps when creating new things. 2. Imagine the friend's reactions to your everyday life. You ate yogurt? How did they feel about that? Did they care? You get the idea. 3. Never think that something is too crazy. I will often do this, and so do a lot of other people. This is your imagination. There's no one who can tell you that something can't happen. The world goes into a nuclear war but it turns out that nukes only have the effect of growing roses because of some chemical that was spread through the air and water the day before detonation? That's fine. Your imagination. Your world. Do what you want.
  5. Making compliments that people actually accept as compliments. I can't count how many times I've complimented someone and they've responded with "What's that supposed to mean?" in that angry way. Gets on my nerves to no end.
  6. That sounds almost like a carbon copy of my server... Regardless, one of the funniest moments I've seen an Admin do was ban himself by using the tab completion that Minecraft has. Another time, an admin was told that he wasn't fit to be an admin because he was following a person x-raying while vanished. Apparently, admins aren't supposed to use vanish.
  7. And another one joins the group. Every Brony I know is online. And that's a grand total of 5 people! Wait, I know 1 in person... Then again, I never see him, and only talk with him online. So I'll count him as online. But at least my friends are tolerant of it. Well, except one. He teases me to no end, but I don't mind. We're friends to the end. But that's beyond the point. 5 Brony friends. All online.
  8. I wouldn't want to send any there! However, if I were forced to choose... I'd give a vote for Celestia. Give her a taste of Luna's life, I guess.
  9. Oh. In that case, I'm not sure. They're fictional characters in a real world. They'll probably want to know everything we know about them. That would mean a wiki or something. Of course, they'd have us Bronies to fill them in instead... So, fanfiction. Probably FimFiction. And Celestia help us if they find some of the stories we write...
  10. Erm, Twilight, what's with the knife... Put that down, please... No, Twilight, that's my computer. I need that! TWILIGHT! What'd you do that for?! Uh, Twilight, that's me. Don't point knives at people, it's not nice. Twilight... Stay away from me!
  11. Age doesn't really matter to me. I get along well with most, if not all, age groups. However, knowing is nice, as it helps me gauge what would interest them most in our conversations.
  12. Interesting. A MLD game. I'd love to help, if I can. If you have a skype, that would make things much easier. Let me know. I might have a few friends as well who would want to work on it. I'm not entirely sure, because they're busy with other projects, but if you want me to, I'll ask.
  13. At the very least, you can think of it like this: There are 2 normal reasons you laugh: 1) You're happy/see something funny 2) You're completely insane It's usually no. 1. Now, thinking about that, it would be a nice way to go, as you're looking at something that makes you happy or funny. But laughing "to death" would most likely come from asphyxiation. When people say they laughed too hard, they usually mean that when they were laughing, their muscles were contracted so that they were unable to breathe in properly. Now, because of how the body works, I don't think that one could simply die of laughter on their own. I think it would take an outside force, such as a person, to give you a paralytic or some other kind of drug that would make your muscles unresponsive and complete the asphyxiation process. Essentially, you can die from laughing, but I don't think it's possible on your own. And while going out laughing would be nice, if it takes another person, then you'd probably not be in an ideal situation of life, and therefore would not go out nicely. Perhaps I took this a little farther than I should have...
  14. They are one in the same. However, some people don't see them as such. I am one of those people. You can use Ditzy with me, but I will correct you by telling you her name is Derpy. I learned about her under Derpy, and will continue to use Derpy until the day I die. I'd say until I'm not a Brony, but that's less likely to ever happen than a sun from another universe crashing into our Pluto and obliterating it.
  15. A few things, really. Ordering from most un-productive to least un-productive, I have: College courses that I don't actually need, yet am required to take War Thunder Minecraft Artificial Intelligence Coding
  16. In canon, no way. I won't even base my opinion off their little thing with Flash and Twilight. I believe that any canon pairing would immediately go down the drain, if only because of the backlash from us as a fandom. However, that's not to say I don't like pairings. Some of my favorite fanfiction to read is in FimFiction's Shipping group. Thin ice here, but it's not all bad or clop. Some are really cute. Wow, am I saying that? Yeah, I am. It's cute. Also, there's Hasbro to contend with. Would they really allow such a thing? Maybe, but I highly doubt it. This is a show geared towards the younger crowd, not to us older people who would appreciate it, if done well. And yes, the writers may do it well. However, if it does happen, I'm not going to hold out much hope for quality.
  17. Well, I'm a Blender lover. Of course, I've only just started using it. Maybe 3 months ago now. Yeah, something like that. I really need some help with it XD. I'm no graphic designer, and I can't make a screwdriver using a tutorial. Well, you can really replace "screwdriver" with "anything". I'm practicing though. Now, what have I done? I've accomplished nothing really, but I'm working on an idea for a cutie mark for a project that I'm not sure I'm doing anymore. To clarify, I was doing a project, but then I was told that I was working with someone who was doing a similar project, and have heard nothing from either party. So, I'm not sure anymore, but I'm going through with it for now. As for the UI wars, I know a little about it, but not enough to really give an opinion. I found out about Blender from a couple friends of mine who use it. It looked fun, and I'd always wanted to make stuff in 3d and just never had the time or resources to do it. I still don't have time, really, but I ignore that. Priorities are helpful.
  18. A man is defined as the following: 1) A Brony 2) A human male What is your favorite anime, if any?
  19. 11836 I'm not sure why I participated in this... But hey, it's fun, so who cares?
  20. Fedoras are awesome. My friend's got one, and people try to steal it from him. We actually had some random guy who was walking down the street at the same time we were snatch it off his head and take off. We got it back though.
  21. The internet had a large hand in this fandom, and I don't believe that we would be where we are today if it were not invented. However, I don't believe that we would be non-existant, mostly because of television. Yes, some of us would see the show and like it, but we wouldn't tell anyone, and most certainly wouldn't make fan art or fiction. We wouldn't be able to. As for life in general without the internet, well, I and a few friends of mine went without internet for the first few years of our lives. Comparing the way I live today versus the way I lived back then, not counting being a child, I believe that we as a species would be more active, social, and understanding. We wouldn't stay in our houses staring at screens as often as we do. While it does provide us with more ways to interact, there are negatives. For example, our slang text terms that most everyone uses. lol, for example. We wouldn't use that, because we wouldn't need to. And yes, I know, "Oh, but if we had phones and texting, we'd probably use it." I'm not saying that we wouldn't use it, ever, period. But I personally believe that while the internet may have come along later physically, it was invented conceptually long before phones were invented physically.
  22. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Twilight Sparkle How did you find MLP Forums?: Google. Google can find anything. Except Chuck Norris. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: http://www.fimfiction.net/blog/272567/1st-blog-post-becoming-a-brony A 20 character minimum? That's a first. Anyways, yes, hello. I am Derpy Defense Force. Technically, I'm only one of a group, but I came up with the name and was a single person at that time and the time I made this account way back when, so I can use it as one person. Run on sentence. Yes, I do that often. Jeeze, this is becoming like my bio on FimFiction... No matter! If I remember right, most of the information you'd want to know is on my profile. I might have to update it, not sure. I'll check as soon as I'm finished writing this. Who knows when that'll be though. Scratch that, just went and did it. Whatever. Um... Ah yes. I've had this account for a while and not been active. Something I'm changing. Hmm... Oh, I should probably mention that I have no qualms talking about anything. I know the forums do, but Skype is Skype. I have a major headache right now, so I'm running out of things to put. I guess the last couple things I should mention are that I will ramble on and on about a topic, or anything at all really, so if I go off topic, expect it. And, also posted above or wherever it was posted, as I can't see it in this text editor, my Brony story is on FimFiction. I'll post it here too, just in case. Have at it. http://www.fimfiction.net/blog/272567/1st-blog-post-becoming-a-brony Have a nice day, --Derpy Defense Force
