Who exactly is Luster Dawn and what happened to Starlight being Twilight's student? Twilight couldn't have been that twisted as to replace a potential Princess of Magic, would she?
Twilight didn’t replace Starlight. After Season 7, she wasn’t a pupil anymore and was promoted to Guidance Counselor because she could get into people’s psyches better than anyone. By the time Twilight brought Luster to the Throne Room, Starlight had been Headmare for about twenty years.

Yes, but I don’t consider “critical” to mean look at all through a mostly negative lens. I like to break things down and analyze what works or what doesn’t. Does it mean I won’t go negative? Of course not. Episodes like Greaaat, Complete Crap Clause, Fame and Misfortune, Boast Busters, and Princess Spike more than deserve their scorn. But Perfect Pear, Shadow Play, Castle Sweet Castle, Big Mac Q, and Mean 6 are fantastic and earn their praise.
However, there’s a big difference between being critical and caustic, the latter which you can cross into being a douchebag if you’re not careful. While, yes, I’m still firm and can be harsh at times, I’m no longer that abrasive, caustic critic like before.

Care to tell about more about either?
Know nuthin' of Legacy, but Them's Fightin' Herds was originally the fangame Fighting Is Magic. In early-2013, Hasbro sent a C&D, cancelling development. However, Lauren Faust, who liked the game herself, contacted the development team and asked if she can help in creating new characters. So, Mane6 (the development team's name) and Faust went to work on creating an official, publishable game with new characters and new setting.

Carmen Sandiego is a great reboot. Art style is very clean and gorgeous, and the story's imaginative while maintaining its educational element. One of the more underrated shows that began last decade.

Bad news: PW's TY account has a community strike, so no videos or community posts for a while.
Good news: he got his account back!

Was my favorite character from Day 1 as a brony, and that hasn’t changed.
That said, the show didn’t know what to do with her for a while. In the first season, she became one of the most developed, but DHX/Wildbrain seemed to not know what to do with her, and it showed. They often made her feel really intimidated (sometimes as a dumb joke, like in Luna Eclipsed) and had to stand up for herself a lot for the next three seasons.
Thankfully, seasons 5 and onwards (Fake It and Leans In the only exceptions) put her back on track. Her secondary and lead appearances from Discordant Harmony and Health of Info, respectively, remain very impactful.

About time!
For a while, I wondered if they were ever coming! Glad to see them finally being released in some capacity!

The original package of leaked scripts from last year contained finalized, episode-length scripts for six clip-show specials. A rehearsal for one of them aired in last year's anniversary special.

I can't wait to not watch it
Eh, I read all the scripts, and none of them are that bad. At worst, they're okay.

Late-July 2011 for me. Blitzed through season 1 during its hiatus and never looked back!

Pardon my ignorance, but what exactly is a "brony"? The term is not partook in my home.
I have heard the word many a times over the years, but never bothered to ask its translation.A "brony" is a portmanteau of "bro" and "pony," and merely a person who likes MLP: Friendship Is Magic. No more, no less.

As for the OP's question, I think it depends who you're talking to. The fandom's peak came from sometime between 2012 and 2014; Twilight's Kingdom, Part 2 had the most viewers of any episode (788K) in the run. But in terms of personal enjoyment, I go with 2012, '18, and '19. 2012 was my first full year of experience in bronydom, including BC Summmer 2012. 2018 gave me the most fun watching new episodes in years. 2019 had both the fun of watching new episodes along with the fun of being at the last BronyCon.

Not so sure I can answer that straight. One one hand, yeah, a bad episode without much meaning could’ve been swapped with one that shows him growing up. On the other, Molt Down’s so impactful because we’re seeing him grow up before our very eyes, and we couldn’t have been any prouder of him to grow some new wings.

There are a lot of cartoons regardless of quality centered around humans. The lack of human surrogate here is part of the charm. With ponies leading the show and living in a unique home, DHX was able to build its own world without "real world" restrictions.

Windy and Bow kick a whole lotta ass. Their personalities are extremely infectious, adorable, and hilarious. Even though their appreciation for Dash was over the top and obnoxious, Hamilton balances it by being unconditionally supportive no matter what obstacles she faces. Dash didn’t tell them she was a Wonderbolt because she felt secondhand embarrassment from their loud cheering, but kept that frustration bottled up. Her tirade was Putting Your Hoof Down done right.

In terms of the reformation, FIM literally shows that anyone can be reformed. Huge villains like Discord have been reformed, so I can imagine Svengallop being reformed. Then again, some humans never change their stripes, so he might never change.
One thing every single reformed villain or antagonist have in common is having any degree of remorse. Once Discord realized he took advantage of FS in Keep Calm, he felt awful and turned the environment back to normal.
Svengallop never showed any. After AJ and friends caught him using Coloratura's celebrity status to prop himself up and request a spa reservation, he doubled down, continued to verbally assault her, and held his head high as he left the stage. He didn't care if he was manipulating her or stealing her fame for himself. If he had another chance to determine whether to let her have her charity event or steal her fame for himself, he would choose the latter without a second thought.
Honestly, he's one of those antagonists where I can't see him reforming.

Svengali was where Amy Keating Rogers came up with Svengallop's name, and the word itself means a person who controls and bullies with malicious intent.

I don't like Starlight being redeemed because to me, It happened so fast and receiving forgiveness was so easy for her. The Mane 6 wouldn't forgive Discord, but they'll forgive Starlight just like that? It makes no sense.
On the contrary.
- Discord had a history of manipulating the Mane Six until they were broken down and the opposites of themselves. Instead of brute strength, he played mind games. When they accepted Celestia's task and released him, he intentionally got under all of their skins, which continued into season four. Despite claiming to be reformed, he didn't act so and sometimes suggested that he didn't take their friendship as seriously as he claimed. Their lack of trust in him was justified. Not until season seven did the lessons he learned apparently stuck.
- Starlight committed some very serious crimes, too, so what makes things different? Twilight treated Starlight as an equal and saw the pain she held within, so she offered her help to give friendship another chance. At her most vulnerable, she accepted Twilight's offer, and everyone agreed to help her in return. From the one-plus season as Twilight's pupil onward, she soaked in those lessons to become who she is today.

Why is everyone hating on Baby Cakes?!
I don’t dislike this one, and I can’t speak for Odyssey herself, but I can see a few reasons why while looking from the outside.
- Pinkie’s treatment in this episode, especially in the last act, can be very hard to watch.
- Some of the jokes didn’t land for everyone, such as Mr. Cake changing diapers with his mouth.
- The final act itself. The twins’ abilities to fly and use magic at such a young age when neither Scoot nor Sweetie could at the time opened questions with its continuity. Secondly, after the twins’ antics got Pinkie crying, they looked at each other and dumped flour over their heads to cheer her up. For some, this implies that they knew that what they were doing could make her so upset. I don’t quite agree with that interpretation completely; you can argue that they saw Pinkie was hurt and came up with the flour by instinct of what she did before.

BABSCon did the right thing. Having it take place during the growth of a pandemic is extremely dangerous. No way they can have it this year and be sure everyone will be safe.
