The fact that the colors were drab & everyone was scared or sad throughout most of Toy Story 3

didn't help either, IMO. 

I'll give you the answer. It's the moral from Giffonstone: the idea that lack of friendship is the cause of all their troubles and friendship as the absolute solution to restore the kingdom.

For the entire show, here are my most hated in each season:

S1: Owl's Well's message about jealousy. Completely broken given the fact that Spike had valid reasons to believe he'll be replaced.

S2: Mare Do Well's message about humility. You know the rest.

S3: One Bad Apple dictating how bullying (especially child bullying) ends when you tell a grownup. Bullying never ends there. If you read my last status, I've come across a lot of adults way older than me who are terrible bullies.

S4: Somepony… "Younger sister nearly gets killed, you can be alone now."

I only liked eight episodes in season 8.

But the point *was* the contrast between Rarity's wit and the Diamond Dogs' brute force approach. Again, she exploited a situation in which the odds were stacked firmly against her. We have the benefit of hindsight and genre savvy; Rarity, for all and intents and purposes, did not. Smart Diamond Dogs would have conceivably stacked the entire deck against her.

I can understand My Little Dashie, purely because the reasoning the idiot used to bash it was asinine. However, I'm inclined to agree on the first one. Living the Dream is a pretty bad fic. It's no Romance Reports or My Immortal, but it is still bad.

Haven't read "Romance Reports" or "Living the Dream," but I did read "My Immortal." My Immortal is a clear-cut troll-fic parodying the Harry Potter fandom, but tried too hard to be funny.

I recommend you do not read Romance Reports. It is possibly the worst fanfic I have had the misfortune of reading (Other than My Immortal, of course). It's even worse than slashfics.

Well, it’s certainly killed G5 for me. All of FiM’s uniqueness is clearly getting cast aside. 

The use of "spaghetti" came from a meme where people recount stories of awkward situations that always end with spaghetti falling out of their pockets. I guess this was turned into a slur for autism because of its use to describe the awkward situations some with autism get into.

@chikorita: one of the spaghetti tosses got ejected from BronyCon. I believe it was for harassment.

Having been on constaff once or twice, the temptation to eject spaghetti tossers is strong, but for different reasons. Most venues fine cons when they have to go above and beyond on cleaning stuff up, and piles of cooked noodles counts towards cleanup fines.

Good: Snails, characterization of all four feels right for once, the last bit of Act 3, AJ and RD realizing their mistake and trying to figure out how to solve the problem during the middle of the episode.

Bad: dialogue (Jesus, it's bad!), forced exposition, hamfisted external conflict, blunt presentation of the moral, AJ & RD becoming tone deaf during the exercise routine and treating the rivalry like everything was on the line when nothing's at stake, grossout jokes during Fluttershy's rant kills the somber mood of the argument.

Grade: D+/D

But still, Even if one person pisses off the competition, punishing the entire group of people over the actions of one is largely unfair to the group as a whole. Now, I can understand if the entire group is being offensive, but if it is one or two people, you should not punish the entire group. That would be like banning all cadence fans because I posted clop, and I was a cadence fan.

Then no doubt members would just pose as fans of the pony they don't like and force a disqualification. It seems like it would be an easy solution to introduce penalties for transgressions, but it could backfire too.

@Daring: Only read a little bit about him. Seems to be much more social and moderate as a governor than a lot of the high-end Republicans.

He seems to be one of those governors who is more worried about his constituents and local matters than national matters. Which could be good or bad. We'll see.

1. Make Spike less shallow and react in a more three-dimensional manner. An accidental quip once and that's that. Either someone else say it, or he would be consoling Fluttershy, too.

2. Have Rainbow Dash give up on trying to beat the record earlier in the episode instead of the third act so Fluttershy would better fit in the tornado. If the record'll come, it'll be by chance.

3. Have the pegasi, with everyone in tow, try to get enough wingpower to send the water into Cloudesdale, only to falter. Dash and Fluttershy especially would help rallying the troops and lead their way into succeeding in their duty. The "ghosts" laughing at Fluttershy would be rammed through after the rally cry.

I honestly envy those of you who enjoyed TftM so much. The feels just wasn't clicking for me even though those are usually my favorite episodes.

I can kinda understand it, but it's my most despised episode this season. One of the bigger problems was how the stakes weren't high enough for Dash to be so reckless.

I agree on the stakes not being high enough. It seemed somewhat predictable, not enough subversion.

[ That many of us have been doing so for nearly a year demonstrates our resilience. ]

That's what I expect out of EVERY staffer. I know you have the thick skin based on our talks in the past (especially since you know how blunt *I* can be), and I know the other admins have that, too. (They're not admins without reason.) But I expect all the staff collectively, including the Poniverse staff, to be better prepared next time.

A call to friendship (and better staff-member communication) is something that should be done. If the relationship is feeling more fractured, then there should be a better way to organize and communicate better, like maybe more admins/mods or Poniverse staff.

As such, I think it's time to close the status. My points stand, but it's good to talk to you!
