I'm liking Toy Story a LOT more on this rewatch.

@Captain Clark Yeah I actually agree with this too, TS3 wasn't my kind of movie. For a ripoff of TS2, it doesn't have a lot of that TS charm that makes the first two movies great. It felt joyless and a little too manipulative imo. I get that's the point cause everybody grows up here, but that's no reason to give up some of the better things from the first two movies either.
-
@Odyssey I agree. I too felt that joylessness that you are talking about. I can’t really put my finger on why but it just didn’t feel like a TS movie.

Honestly, my issue with the 3rd one is that it just feels like a complete ripoff of the 2nd one.
The jokes didn’t really land either.
Yeah, the jokes in Toy Story 3 weren't as clever as the toy puns/jokes in the first two movies.

The fact that the colors were drab & everyone was scared or sad throughout most of Toy Story 3
didn't help either, IMO.

Try and guess my most hated moral of last season.

S3: One Bad Apple dictating how bullying (especially child bullying) ends when you tell a grownup. Bullying never ends there. If you read my last status, I've come across a lot of adults way older than me who are terrible bullies.
S4: Somepony… "Younger sister nearly gets killed, you can be alone now."

“The show hasn’t been good since when Twilight was a unicorn!”
*looks at seasons 5, 7, 8, and 9*
…seriously? Are we watching the same show?

@Sparklefan1234 Honestly, I only thought about that many weren't either mediocre or straight-up bad.

>Luna micro comic announced >bronies all over screamed in excitement

If characters are needed to be written dumb just to force the plot forward and/or artificially make the other characters appear better, then it's bad writing; A Dog and Pony Show had plenty of it, ranking this episode somewhere between average and bad.

[ Instead of being more unique in getting out of it, why not have Rarity use her intellectual, business-savvy approach and outwit a bunch of smart Diamond Dogs instead? ]
An error on my part. It should be "Instead of taking a shortcut in writing, why not have Rarity use her intellectual, business-savvy approach and outwit a bunch of smart Diamond Dogs instead?"
-
But the point *was* the contrast between Rarity's wit and the Diamond Dogs' brute force approach. Again, she exploited a situation in which the odds were stacked firmly against her. We have the benefit of hindsight and genre savvy; Rarity, for all and intents and purposes, did not. Smart Diamond Dogs would have conceivably stacked the entire deck against her.

If you quit being a fan of anything because of some people's actions, then you were never a fan to begin with. (I.E., anyone who quits being a brony [a.k.a., fan of MLP:FIM] because of the community was never a brony, like it or not.)

You're still grasping for straws and overthinking the terminology. You don't have to be in a fandom to be a fan nor throw away the specific term for such stupid reasons. A Trekkie is like being a Sonic fan or a brony: a fan of Star Trek.
You're a fan of Star Trek; you're a part of the Trekkie fandom. You're a Trekkie; you're a part of the Star Trek fandom. It's not one or the other. They're synonymous.
Likewise, you're a fan of MLP:FIM...
-
Likewise, you're a fan of MLP:FIM, so you're a part of the brony fandom. You're a brony, so you're a part of the MLP:FIM fandom.
If you're a fan, you're already involved in the fandom in some capacity. You're just not ACTIVE. Most of the bronies, however, PASSIVELY participate in the community, whether they know it exists or not.
You claim to quit being a brony. You claim you quit being involved in a community that's still actively growing...

Read a huge elitist journal on FIMFiction flaming three to four well-known FIM fanfics and the people who enjoyed them. http://www.fimfiction.net/blog/40081 <--- Warning: Very vulgar language and "not-safe-for-work" content. I'm seriously considering reporting it to the administration.

For a while, I had no idea that Luna's self-inflicted nightmares were an allegory of people who often cut themselves to help alleviate with the psychological pain. Unfortunately, the shoddy pacing and fan pandering didn't give this serious concept a lot of respect that it truly deserved.

All the griping from some bronies over Pipp tapping on her phone is silly.
-
I despise it when anyone uses "spaghetti" as a slur for someone with autism.

Fluttershy's faces during her rant aren't funny; they're disgusting!

Bad: dialogue (Jesus, it's bad!), forced exposition, hamfisted external conflict, blunt presentation of the moral, AJ & RD becoming tone deaf during the exercise routine and treating the rivalry like everything was on the line when nothing's at stake, grossout jokes during Fluttershy's rant kills the somber mood of the argument.

@Sparklefan1234 Yelled? I didn’t yell.

I agreed with Pieguyrulz review & relized Mable causes more problems for Dipper than
any other character in the main cast. (I almost typed "mane" AGAIN!)

The original DuckTales is one of the most iconic and nostalgic Disney cartoons of all time. To think that DuckTales got rebooted, directed by superfans, and is better than the original.

Now I'm confused.

@Sparklefan1234 Same. And that applies to movies as well.
-
@Sparklefan1234 As long as there is something to make fun of, it wont be the worst episode/movie, it's "it's so bad, its good".
The ultimate bad episode is an episode that you have nothing good to talk about, not even a joke.

If I were to run a tournament topic, there would be repercussions for groups of fans for that character going out of line, from points reductions to an outright disqualification of the character if it goes too far.

But still, Even if one person pisses off the competition, punishing the entire group of people over the actions of one is largely unfair to the group as a whole. Now, I can understand if the entire group is being offensive, but if it is one or two people, you should not punish the entire group. That would be like banning all cadence fans because I posted clop, and I was a cadence fan.

Good job disgracin' your state, pisspotters.

Hurricane Fluttershy. Your thoughts.

1. Make Spike less shallow and react in a more three-dimensional manner. An accidental quip once and that's that. Either someone else say it, or he would be consoling Fluttershy, too.
2. Have Rainbow Dash give up on trying to beat the record earlier in the episode instead of the third act so Fluttershy would better fit in the tornado. If the record'll come, it'll be by chance.
-
3. Have the pegasi, with everyone in tow, try to get enough wingpower to send the water into Cloudesdale, only to falter. Dash and Fluttershy especially would help rallying the troops and lead their way into succeeding in their duty. The "ghosts" laughing at Fluttershy would be rammed through after the rally cry.

WWE's creative decision to turn Lita heel by betraying Kane's one of the most fucked up in wrestling history. The only reason Kane became Lita's on-screen "wife" in the first place is because Kane frickin' RAPED HER! Edge may be opportunistic, but don't tell me he wouldn't be a better man for Lita than KANE!

I liked the part where Kane electrocuted Shane's testicles -
@Megas I liked the part where Kane Tombstoned Linda McMahon.

Why does the brony fandom have plenty of porn? The same reason there's a lot of porn in the Sonic, Hairy Potter, anime, and furry fandoms. Because they can.

By voluntarly signing the dotted line and become a staffer, you sold your soul. You're going to get scrutiny. "Peace" will never be part of the contract, period.

[ That many of us have been doing so for nearly a year demonstrates our resilience. ]
That's what I expect out of EVERY staffer. I know you have the thick skin based on our talks in the past (especially since you know how blunt *I* can be), and I know the other admins have that, too. (They're not admins without reason.) But I expect all the staff collectively, including the Poniverse staff, to be better prepared next time.
