  1. Old New Personally, I think it's an improvement (Wouldn't share it if I didn't! haha )! At the very least it has much better definition and is the bigger size!
  2. My first name means "Tailor" and my last name apparently means "Year by Year." So...I guess that makes me "A Tailor over the Years?"
  3. I have to assume you're referencing TriStar Pictures?? If so...it's a pegasus... Also, while searching for this, the Wiki articles about Pegasus and Unicorns both came up. Pegasus, the "original" Greek mythological flying horse himself, has always been depicted with wings; but also with OR without a horn. According to these articles, the term "Alicorn" actually refers to the unicorn's horn itself. So, yet another example of various uses of the same thing based on what the user wants. Articles @@Forlong, "He was sired by Poseidon, in his role as horse-god, and foaled by the Gorgon Medusa.[1] "
  4. As has been said, Unicorns (and Pegasi) are mythological creatures. As such, they are up to interpretation based on the person(s) utilizing them. They were also visible to evil characters in Harry Potter book 1, seeing as Professor Quirrell and Voldemort would have been hard-pressed to catch one, (much more so to kill one) if they couldn't even see it! Think of all the other creatures MLP: FiM has had: Discord, Ahuizotl, Cerberus, Cragadile, a Hydra, a Cockatrice, a Chimera, a Manticore, and Dragons to name a few. Take dragons for example: In Harry Potter, they only have hind legs and walk on their wings and cannot speak or be truly tamed. In How to Train Your Dragon (the movie), they are quadrupedal, quite intelligent, can be tamed and are considered hive-minded in the first movie. In the Inheritance Cycle, they are sentient, telepathic, and use magic. In Middle Earth, they are obsessed with gold, are sentient, and undomesticated. Each of these creatures have been portrayed in countless ways, usually with basic similarities, but alterations as well based on what the user is going for.

  6. ~Ha! We've tried convincing my sister to start a small business or work at a local bakery, but her cakes are just so much better tasting and looking (in our opinion!). She makes the cakes for friends and family and only charges for cost of materials with a little extra for her time. But she does get overwhelmed sometimes and has said she doesn't want to have to be baking all day, every day. ~Her crocheted stuff she actually has taken commissions from friends and she has an Etsy account for it, but I think it's currently in "vacation" mode! ~My dad's party stuff he creates for himself, and the other stuff he's made has been voluntary with church activities or the like. Sorry for all the spoilers! This is a deluge of pictures from some of the parties or other non-cake creations!! haha A "Well" made for a church Christmas party Independence Day (Giant Slip 'n' Slide, Backyard soccer arena, volleyball net, jump house) BMW party for another sister (she had just gotten one, used) Family-themed Float, local parade (someone outside my family designed, made, and painted the carousel horses) 50's party Beach Boys party - I only have one from outside, these Palm trees, there are others of the surf boards and other stuff my dad made, but I don't have them right now for some reason (the Shark and Beach cupcakes above were from this party) Pirate party (just from the first party we did, more of a dinner party. More recent parties have been just fun parties without a sit-down dinner) Not a party, but a backyard waterfall my dad and I were rebuilding for our neighbor
  7. Thanks!! Well, my dad is the party-maker, so we've MOSTLY had Pirate-parties the last few years. However, he's put together a Beach Boys themed party for a bunch of his old friends from California, and we did a 1950's themed party for my mom's 50th birthday (I was a "soda jerk" and made flavored sodas for everybody and my dad built a "bar" for me to use in the backyard.) We've done Christmas parties for our church where my mom made costumes and my dad built a "well" that actually had the punch in it. My dad made a church-related float for a local parade. We also host a neighborhood barbecue on the 4th of July / Independence Day. For the Pirate theme my dad has made the Cannon, the Chest, his own cutlass (which the handle in the Treasure Map cake is actually made to look identical to), and we decorate the entire inside of the house with pirate stuff. I have pictures of most of these things. I just am trying to upload a couple at a time so as not to bombard my own thread with a thousand pictures each time! haha I'll get some of the non-cake stuff up next! You wouldn't have to worry about RD going moldy, and you wouldn't WANT to eat it anyway, seeing as the ponies were just toys placed on the cake! haha As for factory-made cakes...You would never want one again if you got to have her cakes! Costco has some OKAY cakes that I liked until I had my sister's!
  8. @@Rolls Royce, Transformers: Dark of the Moon used Chicago, didn't it? But yes, New York is most certainly overused in movies and video games.
  9. In honor of spring time and Easter: Shark Cupcakes Beach Cupcakes White / Pink Cake and Cake Pops
  10. How has this not been mentioned yet? Chacarron Macarron - El Mudo
  11. Oh Monty Python, how I love thee! haha
  12. Keystone Character: It's nice to be really important throughout the game, but in spite all the NPCs around you, everything rests on you. YOU ALONE make the difference. Without YOU the entire system fails. The NPCs are just fillers that don't even do a good job at absorbing bullets for you. I love Halo, but the NPCs drive me insane in Halo and other games. They are often portrayed as total Bad-A's during cinematics, and then in-game, they are absolutely USELESS! The only amazing thing about them becomes their Invincibility. It's all fine and good to not let vital characters die, but AT LEAST make them helpful! Now that would be a twist! What if a new game decided that instead of making you "Restart" a section until you get it right and not let something negative happen, they actually let the game continue onward based on the results of that event?? Actually, from the sound of it, Destiny is shaping up to do just this! Which makes me REALLY excited for it! Fable did OK with letting consequences affect how others reacted to your appearance, but no matter what, you ended up completing the same story one way or another. Rainbow Six: Las Vegas 1 & 2 did a decent job at making your team actually be helpful, even more so when you gave them a direct order. Also, they let them die eventually, but still made you restart if they actually did. My ultimate game: I know, it's a lot to ask, but I think it would be TOTALLY worth it!
  13. It's been good for me since my free-hand drawing isn't as good. These can be simple and straightforward! haha I just want more diversity so they aren't all from me! I'm happy we've gotten a couple from some other people! It changes up the creative pool a lot better!
  14. Whatever works for you! It's your tournament! That's why I like giving you options with each of them, that way I'm not totally biased, and can't even be offended if you like one or the other, because I made them anyway!
  15. Doh!!! I totally forgot Angel was also in this! bahaha! Hmm...Dang! Now I gotta come up with something for EACH of them!! haha It was such a nice combo!! oh well! Ok, I went super-simple since I got so frazzled by how I totally spaced all the above! haha Angel This one is just for laughs, unless of course, it is liked. I just seem to think it's funny. Maybe I'm just tired... Ok, the actual one I did. Dang it Fluttershy & Angel! Why'd you have to BOTH make it into the tournament?!?! I liked my first flag!! :okiedokielokie:
  16. Intriguing. There's only a couple other places that come to mind with similarities. IDK about Canada or Australia (though I believe Australia has similar spelling to England), but I know there are countries in the EU that teach British spellings...Now, if you're American...that would just be really strange because it would just be considered incorrect on both accounts! haha I made the guesses off of two facts which I already pointed to. So may I ask what other place doesn't claim to have colleges and spells like the British, or have I already guessed it?
  17. Haha ok, but it expressed Angel so well! I'll find a different picture of him Better? haha!
  18. Looks like someone likes Star Wars! haha My Rebel Alliance headphones for comparison:
  19. I couldn't stop myself from touching it up for you and sizing it to match my Shining Armor flag! Also, I adjusted the colors to better match Vinyl's exact colors, and made two alternate possibilities. I'm glad you came up with one because all I could think of for VS was a DJ table somehow worked into it! Hope you're not annoyed! Vinyl: this was the most crisp picture I could find to take the accurate colors from. Original, re-touched and re-sized With the stripes trimmed by VS's dark blue hair trim With the stripes trimmed by white Fluttershy!
  20. This is what actually came to mind when I first thought of using the party cannon as a weapon: I just figured out one for Rarity! She'd have to have Radiance's bracelet and she could just wreak havoc with all sorts of fabulous constructs!
  21. I think they should all be able to give you power ups! Twilight = Additional Shields / Teleportation maybe? Fluttershy = Stealth / Invisibility Applejack = Strength (Stronger melees and extra health) Pinkie Pie = Party Cannon? (I think this would be really fun! Considering they already have the Grunt Birthday Party effect, imagine shooting them with a party cannon!) Rainbow Dash = Speed & Agility? Rarity = ...
  22. Let me guess--England? I lived there for two years and they were always SO proud that THEY didn't have colleges. What they failed to realize was that universities, at least here in the States, have multiple "colleges" within them. I am a university student at Utah State University, but I am part of the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education & Human Services. So, unless English universities do not have individual colleges within them, they are actually the same. My understanding of this is that a college is simply a subdivision. Of course, this is all based on my assumption* that you are in fact English. *My dealings with the English, as well as your spelling of the word "program = programme"
  23. Antsy? I've been antsy for the FIFA world cup since August 2010!!! Why move it up? The whole thing was based on the FIFA WC, and I like the basis for having this one match up with it!
  24. Not sure why, but I've always liked the look of the XM8 rifle. I guess it looks futuristic in a way. Like something you might expect to shoot lasers instead of bullets.
  25. Sci-Fi / Fantasy books that I have enjoyed, and then I slowly collected. (The first 3 from the Ender series are with my sister, and the first 2 from Harry Potter are with a friend right now) [2 shelves] Magic: The Gathering TCG (this has been the biggest issue, seeing as I got addicted to booster packs for a long while...(4000+ cards) Various Rubik's Cubes (6) I order my books chronologically within their own timelines, but they're just on the shelves by size. I just put my cubes on a shelf. My MTG cards in the four boxes are in decks, the rest in the drawer are separated by Mana color and alphabetized within each color. I have some games and movies, which I alphabetize by series name, and then chronologically within each series. I only collect games I really enjoy, but I have each AC game except BF. I have every Halo game, the first 3 Fable games. Movies, I have about 60 DVDs, but I'm always adding to it. And I have even more in my iTunes
