movies/tv Do you people have a crush on a famous actors?
PE Brony replied to RainbowDashiscool's topic in Media Discussion
My first crush that I remember was that I fell in love with Jennifer Garner via Alias and have loved her since! (Even though she's 17 years older than me) More my age: I LOVE Emma Watson! And I have come to really love Jennifer Lawrence. I like Hayden Panettiere (but I haven't seen her for a couple years, last I saw her she was doing "Punk'd"... I've also come to love Emma Stone (Easy A & The Amazing Spider-Man). And though I haven't seen her in anything else more recent than Easy A, I have always had a massive crush on Alyson Michalka (Phil of the Future & Easy A). So yeah...I've got a couple!- 65 replies

Octavia ==================== Shining Armor v1 v2 (actually matches the sash and jacket more accurately) Ok, I'm done for now! I got a bit obsessed!! Maybe tomorrow I'll do some more. Haha -
So the other day I shared a MLP cake my sister made. Over the last 4 years she has fallen in love with crafting homemade cakes, dinners, desserts, and crocheted items. This prompted me to find all the pictures we have taken of her creations, as well as some of the other projects my family members have created. *Unless otherwise stated: ALL OF THESE ARE LEGITIMATELY FROM MY FAMILY! NO JOKE. My participation has been photography...haha and taste-testing! **I've edited over most of the names she has written onto the cakes ==================================================== I'd love to see what other things your families have created, if you have pictures of course! So feel free to share what you can! PIRATE CAKE, Cupcakes, & Cannons This was the first cake that she made so it's a little rough around the edges! We had a pirate party for Halloween 3 years ago (we've actually had 3 now...we like pirates! ) The Captain Barbosa toy on the deck, the masts, sails and string-rail, and flags were the only non-edible parts. My father created the little cannons and cannon ball piles out of various candies (Tootsie Rolls, mini Oreos, Hershey Buttons, Sixlets, Milky Ways and I think Whoppers) ==================== Giraffe *I don't know who Aspen is so I figured I could leave that name there. ==================== 50/50 Split She made this one for some twins: ==================== MLP: FiM - Rainbow Dash ==================== Gingerbread Houses My mom and another sister made these a few Christmases ago:

GO TO POST-2014 MLPF WORLD CUP THREAD FOR FINAL RESULTS

This one is completely separate! An entirely different format. The March Madness Tournament is based off of the NCAA Basketball format. March Madness happens every year in the USA. THIS tournament is based off of the FIFA World Cup Football Tournament (soccer) which only happens every 4 years. Just look at my first post above and I explain how this format works! post #1130 :http://mlpforums.com/topic/82112-the-2014-mlpf-world-cup-draw-results-right-here/?p=2494240 -
If I was going to get a unique jacket, I'd go for this one inspired by Assassin's Creed: I'm a huge AC fan!

Oh, and here's the same one with a border added so you can see it better: I know you said you already have one for Rainbow Dash, but you said to make them for our favorite pony--and RD is my favorite! So I couldn't resist! (As you can tell, I took the base design from the US flag.) With the colors matching her tail: ========================= With the colors inverted: -

PE Brony replied to Inactive01's topic in Sugarcube Corner
I've been chatting with Sterling and even though that wasn't brought up in our chat, we both love this format of tournament because we're both huge football (soccer) fans. I'm confident this one will not be altered. Hopefully, everypony will have learned by then to accept the fact that other ponies will disagree with their favorites. We have about two months for everything to calm down again until this tournament begins! -

GO TO POST-2014 MLPF WORLD CUP THREAD FOR FINAL RESULTS
PE Brony replied to Inactive01's topic in Sugarcube Corner
Most of my fellow Americans seem to struggle understanding a round-robin formatted tournament...the closest thing they know of is NCAA's 64 team single elimination bracket, and the post-season single elimination tournaments of Football and Basketball. It's not that hard, everypony! The members of each group (let's use Group A [[Sweetie Belle, Shining Armor, Princess Luna, The Great and Powerful Trixie]] for example), will compete with each other member of their group head-to-head. Sweetie Belle vs Shining Armor Sweetie Belle vs Princess Luna Sweetie Belle vs The Great and Powerful Trixie Shining Armor vs Princess Luna Shining Armor vs The Great and Powerful Trixie Princess Luna vs The Great and Powerful Trixie Notice that each contestant will compete against each other contestant within their group (They each participate in 3 matches). Voters will vote for each match-up (in the FIFA world cup the teams play against each other). If a Pony wins, they will be awarded 3 points. If a Pony loses, they will be awarded 0 points. If there is a tie between them, they will each be awarded 1 point. When all 6 of the group's matches have been completed, the four contestants will be ordered by total points received. The top two from each group then advance to the next round (the round of 16). Then, depending on the system, the Winner of Group A will face the Runner-Up from a different Group B; and the Runner-Up in Group A will face the Winner from Group B. Starting in the round of 16, the tournament will become a single-elimination format until a Winner is decided! Here's the FIFA tournament schedule for comparison: http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/matches/index.html -
Yes, yes it is. I used to say terrible things about sprouts all the time, without ever tasting them!! I was very, VERY picky until I went to England for two years and had to try all sorts of new things. It opened my eyes to all sorts of new foods and flavors! I about died when I saw that! and also at Something Floaty's retort, and then again at Zhortac's! haha Floaty, have you tried Pickled Asparagus?? OMG it's amazing!! It took one of my roommates about 20 minutes of harassment to convince me to try it (cuz I don't like asparagus normally) and I couldn't believe how GOOD it is when it's pickled! OT: I had to vote for Pinkie! She makes me smile, smile, smile the most out of these options!

Her cakes are to die for!! Every time I go and visit she seems to have leftover cake or the parts that she messed up on or didn't use, and then I get to eat it all. I have pictures of over 30 different cakes or cupcake creations she's made. Most of them are for her girls or her friends' kids. But she's made some others for friends and family (Star Wars, Golf, Princess Sophia, a makeup kit, a gardener's cake, and a bunch of other stuff.) They all look and taste amazing. Sadly, she doesn't really sell them. She just charges cost for ingredients and a little extra for time, but even then, they're 1000% better looking and tasting than store bought cakes! If anyone wants to see some more of them I'll start a different thread in the Non-Pony related creations forum if there's enough interest.

Ah yes, thanks. I wasn't quite sure where to put it! If my memory is true, I think the Rainbow was fondant as well. And yes, she loves RD, just like me!

My niece had a MLP:FiM themed birthday party and her mom (my sister) has been making amazing cakes the last few years, so here is what she came up with for the party. She makes her cakes, frosting, and marshmallow fondant from scratch. I believe her friend made the butterfly cupcakes, and the butterflies were also edible.

We got your IQ test results -- they came back Negative. *More of a retort than an insult, but it still fits the OP!* Oh and yesterday this mare I know said she was at the gas station and when the attendant handed her her change, she noticed a Canadian cent in the pile, handed it back to him and said, "That's a Canadian penny, I don't want it." The guy got frustrated and after finding an American cent, slid it across the counter saying, "Here you go, Miss America." Love it!

I was excited to see Apple Fritter! Alas, it is Lavender (as has been mentioned a few times). Apple Fritter is my favorite bg pony ever, of all time. -_-

Naw. In my experience, accent is all based on where you were raised and the way they speak (with some exceptions of course). I was raised in California, and living in Utah now, even after 10 years, people still recognize I'm not Utah-born. I also lived in northern England for two years and people asked me if I was Irish (I think that happened because I was using English phrases but without the accent and the people that asked had never met a Californian. *shrug*) An example of an exception: while in England, I learned that accents change about every 10 miles (no joke!) and I have a friend from Liverpool. The people from Liverpool have a VERY distinct accent called "scouse". He was raised there, but his father hated the sound of the accent so he made an effort to teach his children a clearer accent. I never guessed he was from Liverpool by the way he spoke. However, I know your physical characteristics can be traced genetically. Another experience in England: I met an Indian man who had traveled the world at least twice (naval engineer) and the first time we met, he asked if my ancestors were from near the Black Sea (Hungary and Romania are where my ancestors are from, and both are near the Black Sea). He said my facial structure was similar to all the people's that he had seen in that area on his travels! I was shocked he could get that from just my face!

My mom's side is all from England and Wales. My dad's side is from England and Hungary. The Hungarian side makes it difficult for finding distant relatives, seeing as they don't really speak English and we don't speak Hungarian or Romanian (the town my great-grandparents came from was given to Romania after WWII). People see or hear my last name and get really confused. They all think it is Polish or Czech because it starts with Cz but sounds like an S
