    Hello! So I have been doing 3D animation for a few years now and I am wanting to get into doing 2D animation (specifically ponies) since the show is made in flash I would assume it would be the best option and have been working on getting it. Anyway this may seem very trivial to most people and I'm sure it is but I am wondering where to download Flash pro CS6(or 5) as it seems that is the program I need, I have been to adobe's website and the program always says "Adobe Flash Professional CC" and I am not sure if that is actually the right program or not, if it is then please tell me. If it is not then please also tell me and if you could provide a link to the proper version that would be fantastic. Thanks!

    Hello! So recently I have been thinking about some ideas that would be really cool for an episode (I think they would) but considering it is 10000000000000 to 1 any of them would actually be an episode I think they would do quite well as fanfictions. But, my question is: What do you guys/girls think would be cool for a fan fiction? (I'm not talking about R34 stuff although that is ok too) Personally I think some cool ideas are: When Celestia said she had use for Discord's magic if he could be reformed. It would be cool to see Discord go on quests or something for the princess's. What if Discord was not the only "Spirit" what if all elements, or forces of nature had a spirit and the only one we have seen is Discord's? It would be cool to see a fan fiction that ties together all of the main villians from 1000 years ago, i.e. Discord, NMM, Sombra, and Tirek.

    Hmm.. I've heard a bit about toon boom before, I'll look into it, I have been trying anime studio for a bit, it doesn't seem to bad, but then again I wouldn't really know waht to compare it too as I mostly do 3D things. Thanks for the help!

    Thanks! as for your suggestion on putting him into a sculpting program, I actually tried exactly what you said (with sculptris) but I would always have problems with importing him, due to "Too many edges connected to one trianlge" or something like that, and I actually did create a normal map but it barely did anything worth while so I just left it out

    I completely agree, texturing is one of my weaker points (to be honest I am suprised it even turned out as well as it did) I'm more of a modeller/animator.

    Yeah, I know what you mean, (I live in Canada, our coin has gone down a decent bit in the last months) but I think that although it is still stealing and certainly does not justify it, one or two people using it as a hobby doesn't effect much, it is the big companies, schools, and students that adobe wants to sell to. Not hobbiests.

    Yeah, I've been looking around, but I always prefer to have it honestly, that way you are promised support and all that, I have also been looking at anime studio, it seems to be a pretty good program.

    The problem with adobe flash is that it is expensive, unless there is a proper crack, and cracked software is never very reliable anyways, although if I could find a good working crack I probably would use it.

    Hello! So recently I have been wanting to get into doing 2D animations, I have done 3D things for a while now (a couple years) in blender, so I have a decent bit of experience with modeling and animation, the work flow and such. But on to my real question: If I was to get into doing 2D animations what programs are good for this? I would want it to be very capable, as easy to use as possible (but not dumbed down) good for art assets (drawing characters) and worth using. It would also be nice if it had good documentation to learn from. A prime example of what I would be using it for is making MLP animations. The program does not have to be free, although free is always best, I can't go and spend hundreds of dollars on a random program, so I guess my top price would be about $50. Any help is good help, Thanks!

    Nah, everyone does this, it's normal. The problem is if it starts talking back then you have to hire a priest. I speak from experience.

    Hello Recently I have been thinking about how the Elements of Harmony would/could do what they do in the show and what is actually happening when they are used, more specifically what happens when they turn discord to and from stone. I have thought of a few possible things that could be happening. *Transmutation: this has the closest definition to what happens in the show, "the changing of one element into another by radioactive decay, nuclear bombardment, or similar processes." This makes me wonder, could the elements of harmony? use a form of radiation to turn discord to stone? -wikipedia http://www.sciencenewsline.com/summary/2014120921350029.html *Carbonization: Since stone has carbon in it and discord is turned from flesh to stone this appears to be a possibility "Carbonization is the term for the conversion of an [/size]organic substance into carbon or a carbon-containing residue" -wikipedia *Fossilization: This one makes a little bit of sense because fossils are commonly in stone, but fossils are usually just a skeleton and are exceedingly rare to find a fossil with flesh and tissue still on/in it. As for turning him back into flesh I haven't a clue as to what could do that. I am not a scientist or anything so I don't really know too much on each subject and I hope I am not just making myself look like an idiot. Anyway, what process could do this? is it possible in some way? What do you think? I just thought this was kind of interesting. Thanks!

    Hello! So as I'm sure many of you know, The elder scrolls online is quite a bit of money for a supposedly semi-decent video game and on top of that there is the subscription fee, I love the elder scrolls and have wanted to play this game since I first heard of it a year or so ago, and currently it is only 20.00 bucks on steam so I'm seriously considering buying it. But before I do something I might regret, what do you guys(or girls) think? is it a decent game? am I gonna regret buying it? I'm not tooooo concerned about it fitting perfectly into the series or have stellar graphics, I just want a game that will be fun for a while. Before I buy is there anything I should know? or should I buy it at all? Thanks for any and all help!

    They are pretty cheap on hot topic, only 13 dollars, I had to order mine on eBay because I live in Canada and they only ship inside america. I wish you the best of luck in getting one.

    I'm Canadian first of all. I don't want to be narrow minded or biased because of stereotypes (if I did that I probably would not be here) but I think that american's are for the most part just to proud, I myself cannot speak for the country because I do not live there but from what I have observed from interacting with people there, they should just be a little more humble. As for the government, it should come as no shock that the government is more than a little bit corrupt in some parts but so are half the governments in the world. The main reason I think that some people don't like american's is because the government gets involved where it shouldn't because of a lack of humility. Overall, I think we shouldn't embrace or follow any stereotypes. I have met some huge assholes from america but then again some of my best friends are american. But I'm just some guy on the internet

    I was very open minded going in, I watched all of it up to half way through season 3, I thought it was ok, but not really my cup of tea, then about a year later I was wondering what all the fuss was about so I rewatched episode 1 and finally decided that I liked it by dragonshy, the rest is history.

    It is only a 1 out of 24 chance, you'll probably be fine, I think the sparkly/transparent luna looks kinda cool but the celestia just looks faded.

    Hmm.. the idea of having unique levels for each of them does sound interesting, as for the platformer, it is already a 3D game. I'll consider the suggestion. Thanks!

    Hello! So I have been working on a My Little Pony game in the unity engine for a little while now and I am wondering what should come next? The original thread about the game can be found here: http://mlpforums.com/topic/115024-a-my-little-pony-game-update-1/#entry3270443 The thread contains everything about the game along with the download. If you don't want to download it but still want to help the main things that the game has so far are as follows: * A Twilight demo * A Luna demo * A Discord demo * Magic * Flight * Some of the many assorted powers of Discord. I originally started this game juts to see how far I could get, mainly with controls and smooth gameplay etc. but it seems that I have accomplished that fairly well, so... Where should I take the game next? What should I add? What type of game should it be? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
