    I meant by expansion, not patch. I use its PvE equivalent (Onslaught) for my tank xmog.

    My understanding is just that they no longer optimize the software for older cards, they focus on newer ones. Seems a bit of a stretch to claim nvidia is out to sabotage older cards--from a practical perspective that would be an awful lot of extra work to go into tearing down the code so that it's worse but not so worse it simply stops functioning. For me the seller was much more in the function department--the Naga comes with 12 keys on the left side so that you can use your thumb to activate abilities instead of having to move your hands all over the place.

    I can't stand wireless. I currently have a Razer Naga and I went ahead and bought a Logitech G710+ last week because the retention spring in my previous keyboard died.

    Not jelly on that one. I got both mounts from Deathwing in two weeks, both in a row, and for a total of only about 4-5 Deathwing kills. I think what they should do is keep flying out of current content, but at the start of a new expansion, unlock flying for either everyone or the previous max level and above for the previous content. If you have an authenticator you'll probably need to get an employee to remove it if you don't have the authenticator still installed. In other news, I'm leveling a Mage for Dragonwrath and the guild dragon pet so I can do the Celestial Tournament EZ mode. Also gonna work on a Rogue for Fangs of the Father.

    That's disgusting. One of my guildies has built 4 Shadowmournes and has never seen Invincible drop.

    Really? Are you not in HM/BRF gear? Or are you in 25H? I wouldn't recommend 25H, it's a little too rough--just stick to 10H. I got pretty lucky on a few. Onyxian only took me like 20 runs maybe? I got both DW mounts within 2 weeks and it was only my 4/5th time killing him. Malygos mounts took 20-30 kills I think. The rest were just a matter of patience (so much hatred for green proto). Also, I misspoke, I have all the drakes except Blue Proto, Time-Lost, and the Cata drakes (I only have the easy one 1 of those). Emerald Drake needs to be reworked. It's not nearly cool enough for the amount of work needed to get it. I'm also not looking forward to the Camel mount. Making the statues non-targetable was just Blizzard taking out their frustration on us for some reason.

    Spine is easy for melee. Fireland's main danger is the CC from pulling large packs of mobs that can leave you incapacitated so long they kill you or knock you off of the Firelands. I have all the drakes except for Blue Proto. Currently I have TK, UP, ICC, VoA, Throne, Vortex, Hyjal, Kara, ZG, and Strath on a weekly farm. Only dungeon/raid drop I think I don't have (pre-MoP) and am not farming is Mimiron's head.

    One of those games that I would like to play but simply can't justify buying an entire console for. The world just needs to get with my PC world.

    One thing Valve doesn't seem to have considered: almost all TF2 and DOTA 2 mods are purely visual so it's easy to say whether or not you want it just by looking at it. Skyrim mods are often much more complicated than that, so it could be really hard to justify pricing on something I can't tell if I'll want until I've already paid for it. For games that's a risk that can be mitigated through reviews and playthroughs. But mods don't usually get that much attention, and those that do are often only the most obviously popular, which likely only became noticeably popular because they're free. I'm not just worried that Valve will continue to run rampant over the market with this, but that this kind of scheme will create a negative feedback that leads to fewer mods of any kind. Here's to hoping that this fails horribly for Valve.

Currently just runs with fan cooling since I don't bother with overclocking.

Currently just runs with fan cooling since I don't bother with overclocking. Well the ideal would be to have two really powerful cards if possible. I'd certainly start at one though. I used to know a really good example of 30 vs 60 FPS from Counter-Strike. I think it's a difference the eye can detect if you know what you're looking for. It's like spoiling a movie scene--you thought it looked great until someone pointed out the wire, and now you can't stop seeing the wire.

    Thinkin of upgraing my rig soon. Trying to decide what I want to do first. I want to upgrade my GPU and get two to SLI. I want to add another hard drive for a Linux OS. Also considering adding some more memory and potentially upgrading the CPU, though I'm not sure I need it yet.

    I don't find Starlight's power all that remarkable. We've seen that ponies can be good at pretty much anything for a Cutie Mark--if we can have someone who can raise the sun or is good at magic in general, why not someone who can alter part of a ponys nature?

    Well the point of the show is often to take real issues and present them and their resolutions through things that exist physically within the show. That's often the idea behind a lot of fiction--to hammer out an idea with analogues and metaphor, not with realistc actions. Not just because that's easier to grasp, but also because tackling issues in such a realistic manner isn't easily done or done well in most story formats, cartoons especially. If the whole show or season were dedicated to such a thing it's possible, but MLP has shown that it's more intersted in looking at a variety of friendship issues.

    I was so tired last night that I forgot it was happening today (I slept for 10 hours). Seemed appropriate as a socialism/communism analogy. Every attempt at such societies has failed because there's always someone who ends up creating a class disparity. Not sure how I feel about Starlight Glimmer being an apparently recurring antagonist. Bit sad we didn't get a Mane 6 song too, but those are often saved for the finale anyways. Thought it was a good opener overall, it'll be nice to see the Mane 6 tackling problems all over Equestria (and hopefully even beyond it).

    Herpa-dur, can't believe I missed this thread. It could be good. But we still have no idea what it's about. (Also, lightsabers for a guard . . . I don't know how to feel about that.) Revan is not a canon character. This person may share certain similarities if you're lucky.
