    Real life? Or online? Online, I just ignore it, or leave a happy reply telling them to have a nice day. Real life, almost the same thing (unless it's someone related to me) then I rag on them for something they like that could be considered "gay". Just happened to me a while ago, my older brother called me gay for liking it, so I said something about his son making bracelets. We all laughed

      I don't think there SHOULD be a debate pit. MLP is all about love, harmony and friendship. When do you ever see ponies debate serious personal affairs that can cause unneeded arguments? I just wish we could be nice to each other.

      You can start by avoiding the Debate Pit altogether. You can't make it invisible but at least you can't see what threads are inside it from the General Discussions section. To prevent topics from the Debate Pit from popping up on the front page, go to "My Settings", find the "Homepage" tab and select the Debate Pit from the lost of "EXCLUDE topics from forums:". That way the "Debate" Pit can be much easier to ignore and overlook.
