  1. And in the end, as the darkness takes me... I am nothing.

  2. Jeremy Soule, you magnificent bastard, I HEARD YOUR MOOSIK!
  3. Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam, no question about it. A master of slide and fretless basses, his style has had a significant influence on the development of my own playing style. And I'm first and foremost a GUITAR player.
  4. I'm "guilty" of this fashion crime. Looking at my wardrobe, it mostly consists of plain black T-shirts/band shirts, flannels, and a few pairs of jeans.
  5. I don't consider myself particularly spiritual, but I do have some half-hearted beliefs which fall in line with the Buddhist tradition.
  6. This does not bleed over to most other areas of my life, but at this point, I no longer have any expectations whatsoever. Even though I still adore ponies just as much as ever, I have all but lost interest in the show, itself. It's been going downhill at an accelerating rate and I don't see much hope for recovery. I feel like season three was the tipping point, and season four was what ultimately ruined the entire thing for me.
  7. I personally - TAKE NOTES HERE PEOPLE; I'M EXPRESSING A SUBJECTIVE OPINION - view crossovers as a lazy and half-assed attempt to avoid coming up with original stories of your own. Very little creativity and brainstorming goes into crossover stories. The worlds and characters are already fully fleshed out.
  8. Oh my GOD. I'm OBSESSIVE about this. I have an individual folder for every single band I listen to. In addition, I have a separate one for all the Star Wars music in my library. That one gets the most playing on daily basis, so I always have it handy on my desktop. Everything else is neatly organized as sub folders within a music super folder.
  9. I can name at least four current animated shows off the top of my head that wipe the floor with MLP. It's most certainly not flawless, nor necessarily all that engaging, but its emotional simplicity manages to tap into that inner kid that still exists somewhere within us all.
  10. Your profile pic kicks major ass. Just putting it out there.

  11. There are few things I detest more than shaving.

  12. I grew up in a suburb, I presently habitate in sprawling urban cityscape, and I would eventually like to move to a more rural area. Huh. Funny how that worked out.
  13. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for, like, the four-hundredth time. It's immersive, engaging, compelling... it's my all time favourite game (not counting the sequel, which I think is even better) as well as a true modern classic.
  14. It's a new show and a new time period. What worked on one show, doesn't necessarily translate over well to another. You can't expect it to be as great from the onset. Think back to the Clone Wars and how strong a start THAT show received with that god-awful theatrical feature. I wasted eight euros on that ticket, eight euros that I will never get back.
  15. That was kind of the point, wasn't it? The show takes place during the Dark Times. It wasn't supposed to start with a high note. They established the Empire on Lothal and how it affects people's everyday lives. Ezra, I found, was a tad bit too whiney for a bit too long, but his relationship with Kanan is definitely the high point of the show. I only wish Hera would get some more screentime. She's my favourite out of the main cast and I think she has tremendous potential. I personally found the Clone Wars quite off-putting if I am to be honest with you here. During its run, it retconned way too much material that I'd grown to love from Dark Horse's Republic comic series. I was also tremendously aggravated by their treatment of Asajj Ventress, and to this very day, I still consider her to be a Rattataki, not a Dathomirian humanoid. In the wake of Disney's buyoff, I was forced to retool the way I view the timeline in its entirety, and my current headcanon is a sort of hybrid between the official Lucasfilm canon, and the old EU timeline. I never cared much for post-RotJ material, so I'm somewhat okay with the new films overriding the Yuuzhan Vong War and the Second Galactic Civil War, but as far as pre-original trilogy stories go, I still consider all of that to have happened. Knights of the Old Republic, Tales of the Jedi, and the Darth Bane Trilogy, amongst other things, are just way too engaging to be simply discarded because of the way the Mouse conducts business.
  16. There already is a pony-centric My Little Pony theatrical feature slated for release sometime in 2017.
  17. You have no idea how happy this post made me. I adore this innocent little goofball more than life itself. Derpy, to me, represents everything that is pure and good in the world, and it is for those reasons and so many more that she's my one and only favourite pony
  18. Star Wars: Rebels. What can be said about it? Numerous things come to mind. The initial reaction by most Star Wars fans was utter rejection. Many of us assumed that this show was going to crash and burn before it even had a chance to enter its second season. Shamefully, I was one of these fans. I judged a book by its cover - or a show by its marketing campaign, in this case - and condemned the series before even giving it a chance. I should have learned my lesson with Friendship is Magic; as soon as this show debuted, I was hooked. Right from the very first episode. I loved the characters, the almost familial relationship between the Ghost's crew members, and that nostalgic Star Wars feel that can only be evoked by the Rebellion era, and various familiar elements and nods to the first three films that the show creators have implemented. Rebels is far more clever and adult than most of us originally gave it credit for, and even though the show is still at its infancy, it has already cemented itself as one of my favourite pieces of Star Wars media out there. This is a place for discussion and rampant speculation for all fans. The usual forum rules apply, naturally. No harassment, or flaming of any kind. In addition, a spoiler policy is in effect, seeing how the series has only just concluded its first season and entering the second. Please filter any and all spoilers regarding season two accordingly. Happy posting!
  19. Thank you, both. We shall see what transpires.
  20. I wouldn't know. I don't really watch the show anymore.
  21. The only Microsoft OS aside from Seven that I could bear to work with. We always had an Apple computer in the household when I was growing up, and I have carried that trend over to my independent life, as well. Still, I owned a PC for a couple of years purely for gaming purposes.
  22. Why does this fan club have so little activity? This is criminal! Derpy is clearly the best pony and more people ought to acknowledge that and celebrate her.
  23. Indeed? It's rather difficult to find individuals who are REALLY into the franchise. There are plenty of casual fans who like the movies but have never explored the wider universe outside of the core six films.
