  1. What would you know? Have you perhaps been spying on my in-fandom activities over the course of these four years? If so, you must know me better than I know myself. Your experience has been positive. That's fantastic. i'm hoping you will continue to find the fandom as worthwhile and fruitful in the future. Good luck to you, sir.
  2. I refer you to my previous post. Sorry for the confusion and thank you for the welcome.
  3. Oh, that's not MY art. That's something I found on Wookieepedia and threw it on there to express my love for Star Wars. I'm certainly thinking about creating an art thread for myself in the future.
  4. As the title suggests, I'm kind of new. Only, not at all. I was an active member here two years ago, before taking my voluntary leave for the reasons of not agreeing with the way the staff handles moderation and site-management on these forums. I can only hope that changes have been implemented, otherwise, I'm likely to have a bad time. I'm an aspiring professional in the field of commercial art, and am currently in the process of building my portfolio. I'm hoping to get my freelance career off the ground by doing some art for trading card games. Star Wars is a way of life for me, and I could talk about the subject endlessly. I'm certainly hoping to find other like-minded individuals here. And that's about all I have to say about myself. I'm not terribly interesting, I'm afraid, but if I for some absurd reason grabbed your interest, feel free to PM me. I'm always up for a good chat. Clarification: NOT my art
  5. GreyJedi91. Compelling and thought-provoking Star Wars material. Grandfather of the versus series.
  6. Quite the contrary. Around 90% of my fandom experience has been negative. Do not come and tell me that my subjective experience is in any way wrong.
  7. Obviously not, but she is most certainly supposed to evoke the stereotype.
  8. I'm an aries, if you must know. I do not believe in such things, however.
  9. Digging your profile pic there.

While Bane was the Sith'ari, he wasn't as much of a trailblazer as one would initially think. Still, it would be foolish to dismiss his impact on the Galactic history. It was the Banite order that eventually succeeded in taking over the Republic.

Kind of, Darth Bane succeeded in creating a powerful and secretive Sith Order that successfully took over the Republic. However Darth Sidious did not follow the Rule of Two to the exact letter. At the time Dooku was his apprentice Dooku had his own apprentice who Darth Sidious knew about. He did take Anakin as his apprentice once he corrupted him but with the intent of using the "essence transfer" technique to take his body.

Ah, my point exactly. Sidious abandoned Bane's teachings and merely used his apprentices as means to an end. Tools to serve his will and agenda.

  10. Well, I'm back after almost a two-year absence. I'm hoping the administration team has changed it quasi-totalitarian approach to moderation and site-management.

  11. I have no strong feelings towards it one way or another. I will say, however, that I wish the ponies would remain ponies... and that's about all you're getting out of me.
  12. I'm pretty content with where I'm at. With its exceptionally well-handled social security and education systems, coupled with socialized healthcare, Finland is a great place to be and I couldn't honestly see myself living anywhere else. If circumstances forced my hand, and I had no choice but to move out, I suppose I'd pick Canada, as it is very similar to my homeland in many ways.

  14. Such ignorance. There exists plenty of thought-provoking material within the Star Wars Expanded Universe. I actually find the core film saga to be the weakest part of the entire lore. Storylines such as the one featured in the 2004 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, are just as deep and immersive as any Trek series or film out there. Besides, not everything within the Star Trek universe has been gold, either, and to pretend anything else is to demonstrate willing blindness. The Star Wars universe is far more vast, engaging, and provocative than most people give it credit for. I attribute this to sheer ignorance.
  15. I've said it before and I'm gonna say it again: I was drawn to the fandom by the franchise, not the individuals that comprise it. I thought bronies were an unbearable lot when I was first introduced to the fandom four years ago, and I still think they're unbearable to this very day. Nothing has changed.
  16. I'm not sure I have one, actually. I do most of my shopping at fleemarkets and thrift stores.
  17. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYfgEdnlVtM If you're a fan of the Nostalgia Critic, you're going to love it. Clever parody and satire is a rare find these days, and the TGWTG team serve as a shining example on how to do parody right.
  18. Marathoning all the TGWTG films. The first three I mean, Kickassia, Suburban Knights, and To Boldly Flee. I don't much care for fourth installment in the series, and I think Spoony leaving and Justin taking his life did irreparable damage to the site.
