  1. Heathers Jennifer's Body Teeth Slither Jawbreaker
  2. Yup, but like I said in my previous post, these developments that Cerberus was 100% evil only happened in ME3. In ME2 it was obvious we were meant to interpret that Cerberus was morally in the grey.
  3. I actually didn't like how Mass Effect handled TIM. In Mass Effect 2 TIM was morally ambiguous. Cerberus was prejudiced and ruthless in their techniques yes, but the overall effort to stop the attacks on human colonies and stop the reapers was in the right place. Where the Alliance turned their back on humanity and Shepard, Cerberus didn't. It was almost played in ME2 that Cerberus wasn't all bad. In Mass Effect 3 TIM and Cerberus was pigeon-holed into being completely evil. Regardless if your Shep was Paragon/Renegade, he'd disagree with Cerberus and TIM. In Mass Effect 2, your Shepard could agree with Cerberus philosophy if you wanted a Renegade character. They then discarded this completely for the third, your Shep had to be 100% for the Alliance and anti-Cerberus. At times I did agree with TIM. This wasn't a time for politics or idealism. Cerberus was willing to do whatever it took to stop the reapers. They would invest everything into Shepard because they knew how much of an asset he was.On the other hand the Alliance was caught up in race politics half the time. Unfortunately Cerberus strayed off path, TIM became too obsessed with power and ended up indoctrinated. But he was one of the best characters in the series, for sure.
  4. I enjoy the ship and all but I don't think there's much of a possibility with the show following through with this. Largely they still are catering to parents/kids and how well would an interspecies ~ borderline paedophiliac relationship between a pony and a baby dragon sit with parents.
  5. Pixar movies and Disney classics rank high on the list for sure. I'd also like to add... American Beauty (I know, pretentious, but I loved it) Avatar (Not really for it's quality, but I feel like it will be the 'Titanic' of my generation) The Matrix Donnie Darko Blade Runner Black Swan Into the Wild
  6. Yes A Bug's Life is both Disney and Pixar, before the two separated as studios.
  7. It really sucks that you're almost forced into making such decisions while you're still just a teenager. Do you really know what you want for the rest of your life at that age? No. Then society wonders why so many people end up in mid-life crises and depression and are unhappy with their careers and filled with regret etc. You almost need to know where you're going with post-secondary education right from the get-go in High School, so you can take appropriate courses that will meet prerequisites and all that junk. The system is flawed!
  8. Hercules is one of my favourites too! I always thought it was a really underrated Disney flick. I think it gets the same treatment as Tarzan. Both are often dismissed, I think because they came out in the much later 90s. Maybe people don't perceive them as classic or nostalgic as some of the others.
  9. The percentages seem pretty accurate to the real world. I mean apparently one in ten are gay. I bet as the decades go on more and more of the populous will be bisexual as it becomes less stigmatized. A lot of research does point to the fact that no one is 100% heterosexual or homosexual and that sexuality is fluid and changes all the time.
  10. Michael Bay is like the epitome of what everyone hates about Hollywood.. Style over substance and can't keep his paws off of beloved franchises. I'll withhold further judgment because you never know. I did enjoy the first Transformers he was behind. Although I can't believe he thought making the turtles into aliens was a good idea? And changing the character backstories? He's already slapping the fandom across the face, I can't imagine he's aiming to please them from the looks of things. Not off to a good start...
  11. Anti-jokes, anyone? What did the boy with no arms and no legs get for Christmas? Cancer. A man walked into a bar...... he is an alcoholic and is ruining his family. Why did Suzie fall off the swing? She had no arms. What's worse than finding a worm in your apple? The Holocaust.
  12. I like A Bug's Life but I recently watched it (first time as a teenager) and realized IMO... Antz >>>
  13. Seriously? Michael Bay needs to stay away from Horror prodigies. Poor Halloween getting driven into the ground, Rob Zombie just finished setting fire to it. Forgive me if I'm wrong but wasn't the original Halloween praised for it's masterful build of suspense? Rob Zombie just turned it into a clusterbomb of violence and what I'm expecting from Michael Bay.... lots of chase scenes and a really kick ass heroine. Megan Fox co-starring. [REC] is creepier/scarier but I actually prefer Quarantine. But don't mind me, I'm just in love with Jennifer Carpenter and her performance..Finally someone has a nervous break down in a horror movie! You'd think being in such circumstances it would happen more often.
  14. I think boys (and girls) today are mentally "growing up" a lot faster than most of our generations did. I think the largest factors that plays into this is family, peers and social media you're exposed to, not biological factors. We all know today what's being aired on TV and played over the radio. Music videos played on MTV edge on pornographic content. Give a kid an Xbox and Grand Theft Auto and they can pick up hookers and gain health from having sex with them. Even if parents can shelter their kids from hearing/seeing this content then they will be exposed to it anyway at school from their peers. When I was a kid in middle school, those types of feelings were embarrassing. Today, wanting to have sex is glorified and cool. I think I had my first serious crush around 12-13 and I don't even think it was sexual at the time. Today I wouldn't be surprised if a 7 year old wants to stick their tongue down someone's throat.
  15. Horror films get a bad rap these days. People watch the horrible blockbuster horrors like the Friday the 13th remake or Insidious and think that's all the genre has to offer. The best horror films are the ones that are hidden away from the general pubic. The movies from indie studios or even foreign film makers who are actually innovative in how they scare! I hate watching horror movies and knowing when the scares are coming. (Oh, she checked around for the source of a scary noise and then let her guard down after finding nothing, we all know what's going to happen now.) Hollywood is too formulaic these days. One of my favourite horror movies is The Descent. All-female cast who actually ends up fighting back. Already we have something breaking typical gender roles in movies, awesome. The cave monsters in this movie aren't scary, but everything else is. One character's psychological breakdown, their circumstances in a cave system that they are lost in with dying flashlights, etc. The ending is brilliant too, a last kick in the stomach for viewers. I like horror that incorporates sexual violation on some level. This is what gets under my skin the most. A Serbian Film or The Bunny Game comes to mind. I thought The Human Centipede would go there, but it was pretty disappointing. Part 2 is a lot scarier though, it's worth noting. I was actually a fan of the SAW franchise until the end. Not that I like the new craze of "torture porn" but the twisting and turning story that you're always trying to figure out was a nice addition to horror. I really liked the characters, too. Det. Matthews, Amanda, Hoffman. They are multi-dimensional and well developed. There was more to it than the traps, but SAW haters fail to see that. Of course there's no denying the decline in it's quality with each movie, but I think all SAW installments are better than the average horror movie released today. Before I keep going *stops*. tl'dr: Horror is cool I have some faves
  16. Topic! Of course by Disney classics I mean the Walt Disney 2D animations that were in their prime from the 1950s to the 1990s. Anything from Alice In Wonderland to Peter Pan to Tarzan. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVES? 1. Lady and the Tramp 2. Hercules 3. The Lion King 2 ; I know... a sequel. THIS SEQUEL WAS GOOD! 4. The Fox and the Hound 5. Mulan I've always wondered if Meg from Hercules counts as a Disney Princess? I never see her grouped with the others.. Because if so she's the best one.
  17. Like anything else, haters are usually just ignorant and uneducated on what they are hating on. I find most people who give MLP a solid chance can at least admit to it being a good show for all-ages if not at least becoming a full on brony/pegasister.I don't think I was ever really a hater - but I was hesitant and doubtful that MLP was suitable for older demographics. I didn't have much of a grace period as people usually do - I heard about the fandom and then watched an episode right after. I didn't sit on it in confusion for long. I think if everyone forgot about their "masculinity" or their perceived gender/age roles the internet would be taken over by MLP fandom.
  18. Congrats OP, that's good news. I've had a good experience with the whole thing with my mother too. My dad, well... that's a different story I guess moms tend to be a bit more tolerant of it.
  19. Deathclaws from Fallout It's always really scary to run into a Deathclaw nest while wandering around the wasteland. OR the human reaper from Mass Effect 2! I don't know I don't play very scary games
  20. I could see them maybe in a series finale having Rarity end up with her prince charming which makes sense as a happy ending for her character. But as it stands I don't see any real possibility for romance with the mane 6 beyond singular episode crushes, you don't see that with kids shows too much. And if it does happen it's usually end-game pairings which really.. the only one that is set up right now is Spike x Rarity but they wouldn't do that due to the interspecies factor.
  21. Mass Effect 1 & 2 (3 was a disappointment tbh) Dragon Age: Origins Left 4 Dead Pokemon LeafGreen GTA: San Andreas
  22. Even though I voted no, I don't think there's anything wrong with being attracted to the Mane 6. They may be ponies but they have very human personalities and mannerisms. My top 3 for "attractiveness" would probably be Fluttershy, Pinkie and Twilight but it all depends on what kind of personality you're into.
  23. It's just me but I don't see any hype around Halo anymore. No one talks about it, no one on my friend's list is ever playing it.. ehh.. I think people have moved on. I guess we'll see when more info about Halo 4 is released.
  24. Same. Unfortunately I'd be too embarrassed to watch the show at school or work! I don't want to have that conversation with one of my peers any time soon.... It's actually pretty depressing that I have to hide a part of my life from some people.
