Honestly? I'd probably just sit back, steeple my fingers, and cackle while anti-shippers complained. Then again, I don't see TwiFire happening unless Twilight has some sort of series of meetings with the Wonderbolts. But that's what fan fiction is for! *aways to write it* -

We could literally run down the list of characters in any series, you will find a fanfic where they are massively OP. Seriously, just pick a fandom and go through some of the characters, the results are often hilarious. I've seen fanfic where goddamn Dobby has mopped the floor with Voldemort. Dobby, ffs. -
To be fair, a lot of the ill will toward him seems to be the rant he went on and how he conducted himself. While he is indeed entitled to his opinion, we are just as entitled to form opinions of him based on his conduct. I, personally, don't care much about him either way, so all I can say is that if he wanted to leave the fandom, he could have done so with a lot more grace and the vilifying on this thread probably wouldn't be happening. Just my take on things. Feel free to do with that what you will. I'm honestly amazed this thread is still going. It's just one guy leaving the fandom, not like the show was cancelled or anything. Woop de freaking doo. -

True, but that assumes that ponies see it the same way we do. For all we know, they might find the notion that a pony is there to watch over them comforting. -

To be fair, I think it's more that she uses that power as a means of protecting ponies from their own fears or whatever creatures might prey on dreams (given what we've seen, it is possible). -
While it might not have gone into quite as much world building as some of my friends wanted, I enjoyed it. Gilda coming back and getting some redemption was a plus, and it was nice to see Pinkie's antics making a tiny bit of sense in the long run -
