The show has improved over time so there is no reason to be worried. Many people here who are dissapointed are probbaly long time show watchers that are getting tired of the show and that is why the show is is no longer fredh for them but I found the show last year so I am still very excited.

Silver Stream, I think Pinkie had actually the most episodes, Griffinstone, Party Pooped, The one where Pinkie Pie knows, Heartbrakers. Pinkie's season was most impressive in my opinion for the quality of her episodes and how funnily her chacater was handled (which is very important for Pinkie) as well as we learning new sides of her like her organazion skills and her family life. Everyone was pretty equal in my opinion so I do not really want to put others in order. Fluttershy got good development by being more assertive in her supporting appearences and her episodes were good for her even if they were not the best and she was a little too scared in Scare Master. Her main issue is how very little we saw her so you could put her in the worst based on that but I do not what to since I enjoyed her apperances even if they were few. We did not see Rainbow much either, but she had bit more noticable presence in her supporting appearences. She did not get much develpment beyond her relationship with Scootaloo and Gilda but she has got much in the past and her episodes were good. Twilight got a really great episode in Amending Fences and pretty good one in Hooffields and McColts and one of the worst of the season in What About Discord (but since this season has been so good that still was not a bad episode, mainly boring). She was quite funny this season and had some development with going back to her her past and being more of a princess this season. She suffered mostly by how little we have seen her in comparison by earlier seasons really, her complaining about how she has nothing to do was almost meta in that sense. But her season could really improve with the finale (and I for one do not mind that she is the premier/finale lead usually, fixing epic things is really her personality and destiny in a way and what Twilight needs. Not that I do not want rest of the cast to have a great finale as well). Rarity got her butique in Canterlot which was important for her but the episode was not that unique for her even if it was a good one. Her other apperances even in the lead were not really not that new either except maybe for Rarity Investigates. Still with so many good episodes she has a good season and her character is always great even if not much new was added. Applejack got really good season regarding that her apperances were always interesting to me unlike many time in previous seasons. All her apperances and actions seemed more natural than many times in previous seasons, expecially in her lead episodes and she got good interactions with other characters, Pinkie most of all. I feel all the main chacaters were a bit more sidelines since it was the supporting character season. But it does not bother me, I enjoy the focus put on supporting characters very much and I hope it continues. The main characters should have as much espisodes as feels natural for them unless someone gets sidelined. So hopefully more Fluttershy next season and maybe a bit less Pinkie to balance it out.

I was wondering if there is a list of what episodes the characters have starred in and what espisodes some go-star? I was just thinking of season 6 and what kind of chacaters starring combinations would be nice, for excample I do not think Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie have ever shared an episode.

I do not see alicorns as goddess at all. They are more long lived (but how long we do not know since we do not know how long ponies live) and more powerfull yes, but I feel they are respected because they are, you know, the rulers of Equestria and not because their alicorn status (look how little diffence there is how Twilight is treated, nobody sees her as a goddess).

Not all villains need to be most powerfull or most evil characters even in premiere and finale episodes. After Tyrek it is good that the new villain was not someone who is a big powerfull bad type but something different. Abd Starlight Glimmer is clearly a very powerfull for a unicorn with her Cutie Mark removal spell, teleportation and time-travel spell now. It is just that Twilight is more powerfull. But it does not mean that Starlight is Trixie level just because she is not the same level as an alicorn.

Spike definately needs interactions with characters other than Twilight, that is why he almost seems like a pet since he only is around her. Episode with Discord I think. Discord is a fun character to pair characters with always but he might also know more about dragons than most ponies.

Yes, this is what I meant, not that they would look like the standard fillies. If they would start talking little a bit in the end of season 6 and looking like this would it really be too soon? If they were acting like toddlers at 1 month old I think they could act like 3 years old just fine since apparently pony's age faster than humans and almost 2 years since their birth would have passed.

What would feel about new character desings? I would expecially like new older desings for Baby Cakes. Since Cadence and Shining Armour are having a baby it would look strange to me if the new baby would have excactly the same character desing despite the age difference. The Baby Cakes were born in mid Season 2. A year had passed by start of Season 4 and that was 2 and a half seasons. While not all seasons nessecarily need take as much time in universe I would say it could be a good way to judge time. Since by all the known holidays except for Hearts and Hooves day (and the cider and the zap-apple seasons and birthdays but not all events need to be episodes) have taken place again I would say that again a year could be 2 and half seasons. So mid Season 6 two years would have passed. So I would like new desings at some point late season 6. While the Baby Cakes would be short of 1 season of turning 2 years old I would not think it would be too soon for updated character desings considering they see acting like toddlers at one month old. I would like a new desings for Cutie Mark Crusaders (and other fillies their age) as well at some point as well. But since there does not really seem to be a in-between of their current desings and the normal adult ones, unless you look a little different, it will probably not happen any time soon.

I do not know why people keep saying that Rainbow Dash's voice is "male". It is certainly less "male" than Applejack's.

It might be Statlight Gimmer that ends up fixing the issue (not that the anyone else does nothing) since she could realize what damage she has done to Equestria. And since it was supporting ponies that saved the day in the premiere and supporting characters given a bigger role overall this season it would fit if it was someone else than Twilight that would fix things. The villain fixing the issue she caused would be a good twist and a moment if redemption (even if villains in this show do not need to anything to be recorded which is nice but change is too). Also if Nightmare moon is the main villain for the finale should't Discord, Crystalis and Tyrek be too? Expecially Discord, I could see Nightmare Moon managing to defeat the other villains on her own somehow but how she would deal with Discord without the elements? Unless Twilight and Spike (and Starlight Glimmer maybe) not only travel to an alternate dimensional but to a time after Nightmare Moon defeated Celestia but before Discord was freed from the stone? MAIKUN, while I personally woudo like like a season long arc I truly doupt that will happen. This show's plot does not need to follow some other show.

People who are saying that Celestia is past time getting an episode, isn't it only this season that were are seeing secondary characters getting episodes? Luna and Discord got before but they were not the main characters in those episodes (Twilight and Fluttershy were), they were not seen for a long time before their episode so it was kind of making up for lost time and they were about a former villain who neened a episode to change. Celestia did not need this kind of episode. So she did not get episode in season 5 unlike Discord, Luna, and Big Mac but let's face it, Discord and Luna's episodes are easier to write due to their backstory and conflicts and it was nice to have a long time male supporting character like Big Mac to get and episode where he finally got a proper depth he never had before. Celestia should have gotten more supporting appearences, this is completely true, but it is a different issue to me than getting a lead episode. If she gets one in season 6 it is not too late at all (I really hope they keep givin supporting characters lead episodes). Then with Celestia there is the issue that her chacarcter is the "High Queen" and "Mentor" tropes both so those are always a bit limiting. Now that she is not Twilight's mentor the same way as before and we are more used for princesses a Celestia episode is more natural. However I still feel that she would work best as a go-lead than a lead. It is partially because of the tropes she has and partially because her voice actress does not really provide her with that much depth. So I would suggest a go-lead in several episodes instead of the main lead. I would say sharing an episode with Discord, Luna, Twilight or all the princesses would work (not all of these of course but more than one). And then there could be a season opener/finale where she fixes things like a literal deus ex machina, people usually hate those but Celestia fixing things would work well in-universe.

Granny Smith, it could be a family episode and even little kids kind of expect gradparents to die so it would not be too shocking. Celestia to move story forward since it would open story possibilities. Zecora since it feel the show does not really know how to use her character and the episode could have a plotline involving her home country. Discord if they want the character to exit before he comes stale and he could have some final moment of redemption of dying to save his friends. Not that the show will ever kill a non villanous character, expecially after what happened to Tank. And these ideas probbaly could work in a another show but be a bit too dark here after so long of nothing this kind even close to happening. Well actually the movie could kill of a character since I think it will be a slightly more serious than the show, but still killing characters even in movies if they are animated happens really rarely and they are more serious type of films than MPL film will be. So I do not think it will happen. But I could see a new character, Spike, Twilight, another princess or Discord die (or appear to be dead) and then almost immediately be bought back.

There has been a lot of new characters this season and we are probbaly not getting more in the finale so what are your favorites? Sassy Sadels, Moondancer and Troublehooves are mine.

I was just going to say this. Considering Rarity's Nightmere night costume they might actually excist. A Sfinx would be great as well.

Has anyone ever made some kind of chart that shows ratings for every episode every season?

The episode was quite predictable but sweet. This was a good fit for Applejack's character, it is also nice to learn about the old friends of characters, similarly how we learned about Twiligh's old friends. I would have been better if the manager had a change of heart so he had Rara could have had some compromise about her act in the future but the ending was moving.

Rara does have very beautiful voice.
