  1. I forgot. Isn’t memory the first thing to go when you get old?
  2. I actually have trouble NOT smiling. I smile all the time, and often do so without realizing it. It’s a funny habit I guess.
  3. I’m not particularly vain, but I do make an effort in the name of cleanliness, neatness, individuality and style. I am who I am, and my wardrobe represents me, even if I’m not making a big deal out of it. I don’t like to draw attention, but I do want to set a certain standard of appearance. No one has to adhere to my standard, but I want to represent it well if I can.
  4. I would like to be a conceptual artist on a Star Wars project…if Disney would be so kind as to drop out of it first.
  5. It is somewhat dangerous where I live. The crime rates used to be very high, but in recent years things have gotten better because it's a tourist area and crime is bad for business, so they made an effort to clean it up. I still wouldn't go out alone after dark or go looking for trouble because it's never far, no matter what.
  6. I've played and finished many times. I play it every Thanksgiving and several more times over the Christmas season. I don’t always win, but that doesn’t matter. You’ve heard the adage, “It’s not whether you win or lose, but who cheats the most creatively.”
  7. My floors are quite creaky. At this time of year you literally can’t take a step in any part of the apartment without notifying everyone within a hundred meter radius. Annoying when I want to raid the fridge in the wee hours of the a.m.
  8. Having someone who speaks the same language in terms of interests, opinion and sense of humor is important because these are people I can be myself with and I can communicate without even speaking out loud. A glance will often suffice to say we’re on the same page. I don’t need a friend to have the exact same interests as me because if they bring something fresh to the conversation I can learn and expand my own mind. Honesty, honor and maturity are important, but I value someone who can discuss potty humor one moment and contemplate the meaning of the universe a moment after that. Everything would be up for grabs. If I can be myself and not have to apologize for my weird sense of humor, or explain my meaning constantly, that’s a big plus. Beyond that, I want to be surprised and wouldn’t want to put down any unnecessary limitations.
  9. Sure, I’d try pony milk. It’s just animal milk. Cows are just animals and no one seems to mind milk from a cow. It’s all acquired cultural prejudice. I imagine horse milk wouldn’t be as tasty as cow milk because it has less fat, which is where the richness and flavor comes from. But if you’re looking for a low-fat alternative, why not give it a try? I’d try it just out of curiosity.
  10. First of all, YES I would take it. This is not about greed but the fact that so many people are in need, and a bunch of money left abandoned in a ditch serves no one. Since it’s obviously been there for a length of time I would have no problem taking it because it’s clear no one is coming back for it. If reported and left to authorities, they’d have no problem taking for their own use and that is no exaggeration. Hoping for a reward is out of the question, but being arbitrarily accused for appropriating for the loot to begin with is very real; it ties up a loose end and costs the Feds nothing. So, authorities aside, money in private hands can actually do some good. I’d try to research any unfound money just be thorough, but again, we’re assuming for the sake of this discussion that no one’s coming to claim it. To be cautious I’d be sure to launder it somehow because it could be marked or tracked by someone I don’t know and it isn’t worth taking added risks. Once I’m convinced it’s safe to use, I’d let it do some good, starting with my own family, then a variety of charities, and keep just enough for myself for security. I’m not interested in luxury like fancy cars or mansions with more rooms than I could ever use; those are pointless status symbols and inherently worthless. I’d drive the same car I drive today, and live in a modest house. I’m happy enough as I am, but there are others I know who could definitely use it, and they’d be the primary beneficiaries.
  11. There’s only one more rank for me to reach, and that’s Element of Harmony. I don’t expect I’ll reach that goal by January though. I imagine that’ll take another year or more considering my usual pace.
  12. Kinda hard to isolate something that’s so all-encompassing.
  13. I went outside and stared at the beautiful night sky for a while. It was so peaceful and beautiful, even with the light contamination from the city. It made me feel almost good as new. I also had a rather fancy cupcake for dessert and it was quite nice.
  14. Sure I do. I wear a broad smile most of the time and gesticulate in a way that suggests a highly accessible humanoid-cartoon hybrid, or a mime with added dialog. I'm sort of typecast that way and I look it. My clothing is fairly colorful too, which only adds to the overall impression. That’s me on the inside and me on the outside. What you see is what you get.
  15. A Pegasus of course. Pegasi can fly! What more do you need to know? If I can fly I don’t need magic or anything else; flying IS magic! Just let me get up to those clouds and soar!
  16. I went and took out the trash. I know that doesn’t sound like much but I’ve been sequestered in my chambers since my surgery last week and I haven’t been outside my four walls. Going out and seeing the night sky was the best medicine I could have possibly imagined. It was sooooo nice and I felt like a million bucks after that.
  17. I collect Star Wars stuff, some vintage Disney stuff, especially theme park materials, and movies. The lattermost inadvertently, but I have built up a pretty big collection of movies without really making a point of it.
  18. Feeling okay. I had surgery last week on Tuesday but I still feel a little rocky. I thought this would be a walk in the park but it’s proving to be a painful and exhausting experience, even a week after the fact. This isn’t meant to be a complaint because I’m honestly fine with it, and there’s always something useful to be learned from the experience. But it is what it is and if I’m being honest I’d like to get back to normal now.
  19. Nope, Zigg, I haven't. To be honest it wasn't even on my radar, but it looks good so now I've got to add it to my short list. My latest batch: The Unforgiven (1960) Not to be confused with Clint Eastwood’s ‘Unforgiven’ (1992), this western is a classic, starring Audrey Hepburn and Burt Lancaster. It centers on an Indian girl (Hepburn) who was adopted by white settlers, and a subsequent battle against a one-eyed antagonist from the past and Indians from the girls’ tribe. The supporting cast is sublime and the direction is strong, with beautiful scenery throughout. 8/10 She’s All That (1999) If you’ve seen one high school romantic drama you’ve seen ‘em all, and this is no exception. Popular guy loses popular girl, courts loser girl just to prove he can make her cool too, his motives are discovered, they fight, make up and the credits roll. The same peripheral characters are all there; best friend, cool clique for both the boys and the girls, loser girl’s nerdy supportive friend, etc. The sequel ‘He’s All That’ (2021) is actually much better if not terribly original on its own. 6.5/10
  20. I'll be painting. If not, I'm going to have some strong words with myself!
  21. A slice of strawberry-raspberry-blueberry pie, with whipped cream. And a cup of coffee.
  22. Eeyup! It's like my second home. Tokyo Disneyland?
  23. Nope, still out of reach. But I'd love to see it. Hawaii?
