Yeah Sonambula originally was a human witch character from the episode of the same name. She used a bird to lure in her prey and then steal there youth and give her victims her old age she keeps them in this state by making them gorge into the activities they love perpetually so she can keep her youth and store her age into other beings. In this case it is the ponies from paradise estate and the big brother ponies. Great episode from g1!

I don’t hate rainbow dash but I don’t like her as a character. I think for a tomboy character like her she just feels so generic such as with lines like “ that was AWESSSOMMMMEE!” That really annoy me as they remind me of phrases said by characters who were meant to appeal to 10 year old boys. I find rainbow dash’s personality to be just generally annoying. Even a character that is in your face or supposed to be obnoxious to an extent doesn’t have to be annoying for example Scout from tf2 he is funny to listen to despite being a generic guy from Boston and I enjoy him as a character where as rainbow dash just comes off as too rediculous/annoying to me. I prefer her g1 counter part Firefly over her as she despite being a one time character was a lot more enjoyable and like able and she too was a risk taker and outgoing pony like rainbow dash. Again even in recent seasons rainbow dash just comes off as annoying to me. That’s coming from someone who likes Lemongrab from adventure time (who many people think is an annoying character).

I love this episode. I think them finally bringing back Chrysalis was awesome especially since we haven’t seen her in a long time and we finally get an idea of what she is planning to do now that she lacks a hive. I think the mean six were improved versions of the discorded version of the mane six back in return of harmony. I personally enjoyed Twilight the most out of the six as an evil twilight is a very cool idea for a character to me. I think this episode basically confirms chrysalis will be in the proper season finale as it would be unlike the show to show or hint to a previously seen villain and then not use the in the same season. This episode makes me excited for what they are going to do with the rest of the season. I genuinely was shocked when chrysalis revealed herself in the beginning as I knew it was an antagonist but I didn’t know it was chrysalis! I hope the mean six return somehow in that someone find the wood they left behind at the tree and maybe revive them. Awesome episode! The writer deserves appreciation for this!

This episode was wasted potential in a way. I typically don’t like CMC episodes in general and this episode was pretty tame for the CMC even when they became graduates. I personally reall don’t like cozy glow as I thought she was secretly devious and she could have been a more interesting character but they ended up just making her part of the rest of the episode. This episode could have been resolved the same way without cozy glow because let’s be honest her getting educated into friendship was filler and really was just boring. I prefer episodes like surf and or turf that have something interesting going on THOSE CMC episodes I like especially ones where it has to do with sweetie belle. The only thing I like about this episode is that the CMC got what they wanted and finally moved up socially besides when they finally got their cutie marks. I think Cozy Glow just made it worse then it should have been I just don’t like her.

I mean if they sell other stuff it is likely as I have seen plenty of places like Starbucks and various unrelated stores sell something affiliated with mlp. I don’t think it would add much if some donut shop decided to also sell toys or merch.

You should watch crunch the rock dog if you haven’t windwhisyler is very great in that episode.

I certainly think that there is a lack of this for the other generations. The particular one where I think this should be the case is g1, for g3 I am not so sure as there isn’t that much to go off of. The flutter ponies are much better than the breezies imo. I could see stuff done for Rosedust she was pretty great in end of flutter valley and the mlp 1986 movie, not to mention the end of the former. Again I think that there should be more fanwork on the older generations including g1 especially in fact I might do some drawing to try to get a feeling for drawing g1 design ponies so I can draw some of my favorite ponies such as Windwhistler, Fizzy, Galaxy etc.

I remember after I watched season 4 I stopped watching the actual show and watched more fan work for a year or so. By the time I came back to the show the show was in season 7 and I had a lot to watch. I was kinda glad because it gave me time to appreciate diffferent fanwork while also refreshing myself back to the show and seeing what happened. I don’t understand why one would associate with the community and never actually watch the show. You’re missing out and if you don’t want to watch it then how come you associate with the community? Do you only like fanwork or something?

I liked her mainly in the 1986 movie. She is cute she’s probably my favorite g1 pony besides g1 twilight from midnight castle.
