    An individual would try to get ahead of someone who's notoriously done bad just to keep established humanity safe. This antagonist has someone work with him in established enforcement, the antagonist uses an ally of the guy as a pawn to then accelerate the timetable, convince and corrupt everyone into an inner circle and establish the antagonist as being in charge of the law. That's not enough as the antagonist knows a contact that will bring down his corrupt establishment if the guy gets info. The antagonist rids the contact in cold blood and buries him underground. The guy and his allies race against time for another lead as the antagonist ties up loose ends. The new lead is secured, but things suddenly go south and it's all for nothing on the allies.     While it started with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots winning their 6th Super Bowl championship, tying the pesky Pittsburgh Steelers of the feat. Other sports moments got full momentum of the year. The St. Louis Blues won their 1st Stanley Cup title in a close 4-3 series against the Boston Bruins. The Toronto Raptors outdueled Steph Curry and the defending 2x champion Golden State Warriors in a 4-2 Finals showdown to capture their 1st NBA title. The Seattle Sounders winning their 2nd MLS Cup title in 4 years. But the year capped the best of it all when the Washington Nationals competed at the highest stakes against the Houston Astros of a 4-3 showdown to win their lone World Series championship. The baseball season exposed the Astros of their cheating and illegal sign stealing 3 years a time span. Cue the annoying trashcan banging
