Not much into sports, the massive toxicity of people at school about it once everyone hit puberty put me off of the mainstream sports like football. I do own a recurve bow that is also good for hunting and used to go to an archery club, as well as air rifle shooting. Hoping to buy myself my own air rifle at some point soon :3 I want to get back into archery and try competitions, volunteered for an archery competition once and it seemed really fun and chill (and the club let us use their bows for free aaaaaall day which was a nice volunteer perk!!)

I did wonder if the nickname thing could be something displayed on the side profiles next to posts as a quick reference for people but I'm not sure what prompted this partly is seeing people trying to shorten my username and it's like 'hm wish there was a way for people to easily see nicknames they can use if they struggle with that...' I don't know how people feel about that of course, just throwing that idea out there

If it's the one I'm thinking of, you need a certain tier of Subscriber to use that?

Heya! How hard is it to add additional fields on profiles? I was wondering about suggesting a 'Nickname(s)' field, as well as a field for Telegram contact details. Thanks!!

How did this little FOOL figure it out- I MEAN No Gods, therefore no Devils :3 Yes! It's a shiny Corviknight. I haven't even played the more recent games which is a shame cos I would love to compile a team with some of the newer Pokes. I do miss the old art style of the games before they moved to full on 3D.

The Warning Of The Lake Of Narcissus (?)
Raskolnikov commented on Ice Princess Silky <3's blog entry in Ice Breaker Silky
I think it's a bit of a symptom of how human connection is slowly breaking down further and further in the digital age. I've seen the sentence before on the subject, that ironically the more connected we have become to others online, the more disconnected we have become with each other in the real world. Busyness leaving no time for hobbies or hanging out with friends, a focus on overproductivity, the loss of public spaces for young people, devaluation of social relationships outside the context of social networking in one's line of work... I notice at my work, the older staff have no problem having conversations with each other, but with millennials or gen Z, the moment there's a quiet moment we tend to reach for our phones than talk to the people literally sitting next to us -- those very people making the exact same choice, too. And ever since I noticed that at work I can never unsee it when it happens and it fills me with a sense of existential dread. People choosing to talk to an AI over real human beings seems like an inevitable byproduct of our societies and values at the moment. I'm in agreement with your thoughts - but god, it all feels like a part of a much larger picture to me. It worries me. (There are many positives to the digital age too, to avoid being fatalistic - but that would be straying from the subject of your post, lol.) It's also all too tempting to talk to something that won't reject you the way humans may. The reality is that human relationships risk vulnerability and hurt. -

Kinda tense and somewhat disappointed my new counsillor is gonna be away for much of next month - nothing wrong with it ofc it IS summer, I'm just really struggling with feeling the suffocating feeling of time passing recently so it kinda sucks having to wait -

mega thread What game are you playing right now?
Raskolnikov replied to Mint Petal's topic in Media Discussion
Not RIGHT this moment but I've resumed my playthrough of Sunless Sea two days ago and have finally gotten an adobe, child and will, as well as a half decent ship. Pleased! I did miss this game, it's somehow crept into my top favourites just for the super immersive gothic horror atmosphere and killer soundtrack. (I'd love to make gothic/doom versions of the tracks.) I also found out that the director of the game ended up inspired by the loss of his father at sea when he was SUPER young - they never found his father's body and to this day have no idea what happened to him, he was an Air Force pilot or something and his vessel just... disappeared in the North Sea. So a lot of the themes of unease, horror, loneliness and sudden death seemed to be inspired by this painful and sudden early loss and his subsequent thalassophobia. I already really enjoyed the game but stuff like this makes it click 'why' you get pulled to some stuff as much as you do... -

AMEN AMEN AMEN. Did I say amen? It needed to be said. Amen. Adding on that, as a pedestrian, when drivers don't indicate they're gonna turn... I take note of your turn signal too before I act you know, it's not just vehicles that use that information

I was happy to be told my first job will continue to go on until December, so I got a few months more before they shut down. I will miss it there when it's over, I really took for granted how friendly people are. At least they acknowledge my existence and even talk to me.
