I'm sorry, I know I'm harping, but stuff like this really bothers me. Just because someone is male doesn't mean they look act or think a specific way and the same for being female. There is nothing particularly male about Rainbow Dash in spite of being strong fast and competitive. Masculine, perhaps, but only because masculinity and femininity aren't actually linked to genders in spite of what the words and society would lead you to believe.Again, I'm sorry, but this is just a huge pet peeve for me.

I know I'm probably mostly speaking for myself here, but part of the appeal of the show to me is the fact that the mane cast is completely female (well, except Spike if he counts as a mane). It's refreshing in an industry dominated by male-dominated shows.

There's a lot of pony music out there, but only so much music from the show to work with. Not everyone in the community is a singer and some people don't like to sample sound clips so there's also a lot of pony music that doesn't include pony voices, lyrics about ponies, or music from the show. So what in your mind makes it pony related? I know there's been a lot of commentary that Luna songs in particular have little to nothing to do with the series, and I think that a little unfair. But then again my answer is pretty simple and really broad. If the creator had ponies in mind when she/he made the song then as far as I'm concerned it's pony related. In other words, it's the artist's intent that matters to me more than the execution. Although having a name that fits the song well can really change the way you think about it. For example, For Celestia's Honor is a song that I really couldn't see being Celestia's theme at all. But giving it that name changes it from being a musical representation of Celestia to a song about Celestia or those loyal to her. In my mind it makes all the difference in the world. How about you all? What does/doesn't make a song pony in your opinion?

Avatar 400X100? Mine's 150X150. I know sig pictures have to be less than 400X100 but I don't think it's a requirement for avatars.

They still have appeal even if they have their cutie marks. Part of the reason for their inclusion is to have characters that very small children can relate to so I doubt they're going away anytime soon. I also find it hilarious people talking about how the crusader don't have a purpose after they have their cutie marks considering Diamond Tiara's spiel about how ponies without cutie marks have no purpose.

Yeah, I have to agree on that one. What really bothered me, though, was Twilight returning her friends to normal. I was fine with Applejack and her flash backs (I'm assuming it was some sort of memory spell Twilight used), but it would have been nice to see some sort of internal conflict. Have Applejack in a battle of wits against her lying self or something. But then again I love stuff like that so maybe it's just a personal preference. The others all seemed way too rushed as well (except Rainbow Dash's, but again we don't really see the internal conflict). I was actually a little disappointed with Rainbow Dash turning back as well. When I saw her with her head down after being turned back I thought we were going to see her crying for betraying her friends. Not that I really mind what they did with the scene, but I love emotional stuff. All in all, I totally would have been okay with a third part. Even if only for more John De Lancie Discord antics.
