  1. I trim my beard every 4-5 days or so or when I notice it going a bit out of control. My inspiration is Obi-Wan's beard from the prequels; full, but tidy.
  2. I've been exercising over the past 5-6 months and I've lost a little more than 40 pounds thus far. 73% of the way to my goal
  3. After listening to a tinny version of baker street today, I'm definitely upgrading my headphones at work.

  4. Granted! Baroness Elsa von Schraeder is now a real person. I wish I could create a sentient computer program.
  5. Damn it Celtore! Why must your heart be so soft when it comes to stuffed animals!? >_<

  6. I used to be a multisneezer, but I eventually realized that I only sneezed 4+ times because I tried to stifle back the force. So now, I just get it over with in one loud sneeze-blast.
  7. Noctowl is surprisingly good... Owl Might wrecked Witney's miltank :D

  8. Doing a nuzlocke of pokemon crystal. I love that I can say "no" to the one tutorial guy; it's very refreshing after US/UM.

I caught a hoot-hoot. I shall call him owl might!

  9. I don't like that it's pretty much only advertising on it's predecessor's failure. Yeah, it wasnt great and was really cheesy, but it wasn't ET levels of bad. I am interested in seeing how much it differs from the original in the coming months though, hopefully it is much better.
  10. I got pulled over once because my tail lights weren't working properly at night. By my own brother. I was a relatively new driver, so I didn't know that they wouldn't turn on automatically like my weak headlights apparently did. We figured it out though and he let me off the hook for it. Though it does sometimes get mentioned at Christmas... Other than that, no. I'm generally very careful about my speed, never going above 9 km/h over the speed limit if I'm in a hurry.
  11. Hall of fame: Random LG flip phone Galaxy Nexus Nokia Lumia 625 Zenfone 3 (Current daily driver because dataless FM radio is the best feature ever.) I still sometimes like going back to my Galaxy Nexus when I feel like going retro and the Lumia when I want to forget about the death of Windows Mobile. Honestly, it's such a darn shame because Microsoft had such a fantastic platform. The OS worked very well on low spec'd devices (try running android today on 512 MBs of memory), it had a fantastic development environment (leagues ahead of bloody android), and it had a unique UI twist; it just lacked the market share.
  12. Tired, but happy. I got a good work performance review and a small raise with it! A very happy Valentine's day indeed!
  13. Working out on an exercise bike. I burned 800 calories on it in the past hour.
  14. I have never tried contact lenses and probably never will. Half because I think I look better with glasses and the other half because the wind hurts.
  15. Ho! Haha! Guard! Turn! Parry! Dodge! Spin! Ha! Thrust!

    Segmentation fault (core dumped)

  16. Yeah... the trouble with going retro is that a fair number of used game sellers are greedy jerks. Popular games like megaman and zelda, expect to see them sell at pretty much modern retail price. For Duck Tales 2 in particular, have fun dropping over $200 for it used. None of that money going back to the original developers, of course. Just to someone who squatted on that game for years. Even as a Nintendo guy, I'd suggest going with the Xbox. While it's true that there are some gems on the NES, a fair number of those popular games are seeing spiritual successors on modern consoles and PC. If you need to scratch that classic itch, play some good indie titles. Plus, the xbox is going to almost certainly see even more gems in the future because that's (logically) where the bulk of game developers are currently deploying to. Along with the PS4, Switch, and of course PC.
  17. Some days, I wish you had to have a license to use a computer and smartphone. Trying to guide a clueless user full of hubris and impatience through a simple image upload is one of the most frustrating experiences ever. Then they give up because pasting an image into a text box is supposedly "too complicated." AAAARGH... >_<

  18. It depends on what you mean. Strictly speaking, super Mario world was my first game and got me into gaming as a whole. I wasn't great at it because I kept wanting to do speed runs without knowing what lay ahead. In time, I did it though. The game which first captured my imagination in a huge way was paper Mario 64. I loved that it was this huge world with people and towns to interact with and that it had this overarching storyline to it all. The theme of exploration was what excited me the most about Pokemon as well when I was a kid.
  19. I guess the most notable one for me would be star trek armada 2. It was a really fun RTS I got into 5 years late thanks to a school friend. I loved playing as the borg because you could build these massive cubes and utterly destroy armies with a single one. I also got into the Phoenix Wright series a bit late, only starting once Trials and Tribulations was released and Apollo Justice was a few months from release.
  20. You can't go wrong with John Denver. So many of his songs have this sort of nostalgic restfulness to it.
  21. I'd like to take a week off work someday in the near-ish future to visit Newfoundland.
  22. Peculiar dream last night. I dreamt that I was at home in my office chair as per usual and noticed my arm melting. I wasnt panicked or anything, it was just a thing that was happening. I can't remember much more than that.
  23. Truth be told, I've never tried bananas. I'll edit on Saturday to let you guys know what I think. Edit: It tastes alright. I wouldn't write home about it though.
  24. I very rarely use those sites unless I'm looking into something heavily opinionated and I want to see what other people think about a topic. Still though, I wouldn't use it as a resource for fact finding or basing any serious decisions on. Sites like StackOverflow are the same deal; you don't just copy the top answer to a question and shove it in your program, you might decide to do something similar or figure out something even better.
  25. I'm not sure if I'm just feeling fatigued from my day or if I've caught the flu. I'm definitely sick because of this bloody cough, but I don't know if the muscle weakness in my legs are due to me over-exercising or symptoms of the sickness. If it persists tomorrow, I might have to switch to weight training for a few days.
