      Hey I give AJ quite a lot of love too, I used to draw her quite a bit in the past because she has one of the simpler character designs out of the 6. Also, she's and Earth Pony, and I like Earth Ponies. My OC is an Earth Pony :D

    EDIT: I now have an ugly animated GIF of it, in all it's 256 color glory (click to make it start ) Well now that I've got a job I rarely have time for ponies anymore.. an hour or two every night is barely enough to do anything, but one thing does let me destress, and that is drawing poniiiiiiiii I've been continuing to spend more time in SAI and the more I use it, the more I realize that it really is quite a fun program to use :3 Unlike doing vectors, raster really has the element of experimentation to create new effects in it. So I'm back here with a raster that I've finally tried shading properly based on advice on previous threads from both @Drahgoon and , and this time I'm showing some love to my OC whom I've been neglecting recently I don't know what I'll do with this piece at the moment though, I might turn it into an avvie.. but then again I was thinking of animating it in Flash for a signature.. Hmm. Well whatever. Please tell me what you think!

      Oh definitely it is, especially with how laws are right now. In all honesty though I just don't believe that people should have to get permission for characters and what not, and this really is just my opinion on the matter.

      Personally, it's less to do with trademark (not copyright, as that's nearly indefinitely protected, trademarks aren't) and more to do with eliminating competition with the official Gameloft game. Gameloft's game isn't as high in quality as Fighting Is Magic and MLP Online (another game C&D'd after Gameloft's release).

      I don't think it's that at all. If it were I would have expected them to go after all the fancomics when they were announcing the actual comic series. But then again they did go after all of the plushie makers and then they announced their own plushes so derp

    Chord progressions, parallel minors, semitone steps, augmented and diminished intervals, perfect plagal and interrupted cadences ahhh all that music theory I was forced to learn as a child are all but a faint and vague memory at the back of my mind which you've just helped to spark I love analyses like these though

      @Viscra I suppose if Starswirl was able to finish the spell, then he would too have become an Alicorn. It appears that the key to becoming an Alicorn in Equestria is partly skill through training/studying, and partly the predisposition for it (i.e. genetics/nature/talent/destiny).

    Everything you've said here, I wholeheartedly agree. In fact, there are some points where what you've said is almost identical to what I've said in my own review of the episode It's nice to know that someone shares the same views as I do

    The episode was very rushed, that's undeniable. However I think with the limitations that the writers had, they really pulled it off as best as they could. And it was a really good job. This is by far one of the most emotional and epic episodes of MLP I've ever watched. I genuinely teared up and some points (especially the scene with flashback of everything that ever happened since S1). With a little more time (even half an ep more) they could have handled TS's shock at becoming at alicorn and her friend's reactions much better IMHO. TBH, they could've done away with the Equestrian Games episode and instead used this to build up on the CM swap story, which had a lot of potential. But what's done is done. The only thing I felt that was not right was that she knew how to use her wings immediately, which was kind of a bummer, cuz that's one potential episode idea out of the window. Ah well, I don't know why. But I can't help but feel sincerely happy for TS that she has become an alicorn. While this probably derails hundreds of fanfics and headcanons, I can't wait to see what direction they take with the next 26 episodes in S4. Needless to say, I'm here to stay in the fandom

      It was very rushed, that's true. But they pulled it off as best as they could, this is by far one of *the* most emotional/epic episodes of MLP I've ever watched :3

At least it doesn't look so much like your mane is about to catch on fire. Or something.

    You know what, I think you should colour splash the B+W one. Like, just have the matchstick burning while the rest of the picture remains greyscale. Um. But you know. Anything you want do is fine. :3

    Nice drawing Cool! I never knew they accepted submits, I've not given their site much attention though, since they seemed to be geared more towards armed forces of the Western countries (US, Canada, Germany.. but mainly US) and not something I could relate to.

    I loved the PW:AA series! I only played the first two games though (the original and Justice For All). I too find Moe the clown really irritating, in fact, I hated the entire episode involving the circus. The music for that one really got on my nerves for some reason. I'm hoping one day I'll be able to find the time to finish the third game.

    I play Company of Heroes a lot but it seems that most people are more interested in the other THQ titles like Warhammer40K and Saints Row. I haven't actually met another person on the forums that plays CoH actively so yeah, I'd reckon it ain't very popular.. =/ I dunno, I like it cuz I'm really into history and military stuff, so I guess it strikes a chord with me.;
