Somewhat what Rose said. It's not the forums fault, it's yours. I don't spend a lot of time on the forums, and I only enter on once every few days. But when I do get on, I have a blast. Now stop getting upset at how awful the forum is and get into the action.

gaming Games that don't get a lot of attention.
Wonka replied to Ron Jeremy's topic in Media Discussion
Wolfenstein 3D, The Ultimate Doom, the first Quake. These games where not only simple fun, but they also defined the entire FPS genre. Ironic how all of the games were made my ID. The first two Disciples (Sacred Lands and Dark Prophecy) and the Heroes of Might and Magic series. Those were some great hybrids of turn based strategy and role playing. Ultima 8 Pagan is also an enjoyable role playing game, although not really heavy on the rpg aspects, and it feels more like an action/adventure. I have a sizable list of good games that have little attention. -
I agree with drawing the line at sexual content, but I don't agree with "It seems people who like the x-rated stuff like it because it's taking away the innocence, which is stepping awfully close to pedophile territory in my opinion." The people like the porno because it's their "fetish" of sorts. They could also be attracted to their human qualities. You can't blame someone for being them and liking rule 34 poni stuff. I think it comes down to "I don't like what you like, but I won't stop you from liking it, or be different towards you for liking it. As long as you don't force your stuff down other people's throats, we'll be fine."

Love and tolerance and forgiveness are the keys to stop an even greater event from happening. In other words, if you don't use those three, you could end up with an even bigger situation on your hand than what you started out with. For example if someone were to slap you across the face, the love and tolerance way would be to just walk away. The unlove and tolerance way would be to hit him back. In the first example, you might lose a little dignity towards the community, but you ultimately left with only a slap. In the second example, the slapping would turn into a fight, which would turn into jail time and injuries, and a whole mess of other problems caused by the jail time and injuries. I would say yea, you can love and tolerate anyone, but you should only use force if the situation calls for it.

Funny how Its not hers, or is it?

Derpy in the episode was a lot like how I would've imagined her. Although I thought that her voice could've been a little more high pitched, but otherwise just fine. Although I'm not really happy with Applejack being overshadowed. But as what Ice stated, the next episode is going to be an Applejack one as well, so it's more of the case of better luck next time.

Little quirks and things you do that don't make sense
Wonka replied to Evilshy's topic in General Discussion
When I eat a meal with multiple dishes, I only eat the main dish last, and I only eat one section of the meal at a time, not eating another dish from the meal until the current one is finished. -

I don't remember the name of the actual show, but there was this one show 10 or 20 years ago that ended, but it still keeps a noticable sized fandom today. It was Japanese with no newer remakes. I don't remember completely. Maybe that will happen to this fandom, the show will be great until the series finaly (I estimate 4-6 seasons). The show will end, but the fandom will go on and keep a noticeable following for quite some time. Besides, with how much fanfic and other works being produced by the community, I wouldn't be suprized if there was more than enough new pony stuff to preocupy time with, just so that the existing population will be sustained (AKA, when the show itself dies out, I might become a more serious fanfic reader). But for now, I don't really think about it, and I just enjoy the series and fandom as it's happening, instead of worrying about the "end". Although, I did just realize the possibility of generation 5. Maybe that will be as good, or somehwere around it, possibly enough to get the fandom-horse started up again. I mean, this is the fourth generation, so there is possibiliy of another set of good ponies coming along.

Worst possible thing from this show/fandom? Getting into those crap "show loudest win argument" type things in a "who's best pony"? I mean, the type where people just shout their favorite pony, and disregard everything everyone says. I don't know how I end up in them a majority of the times, but the most memerable ones are on TF2. And it really gets to be a pain when you and maybe one other guy are the only ones that bother to play seriously to win the round, just because you have these fanatics who can't just shut up for 2 more minutes and focus, especially when you're the only engie on RED team on attack/defense mode.

(Assuming that these would be real religions that people would take seriously.) I just don't see a religion based off of anything MLP:FIM. And from what I read from this thread so far, most things and morals are morals that everyone knows, so a religion would be over excessive and just unessisary. Besides, I have a hunch that everything won't go as planned and/or something terrible will happen.

I started watching the episodes an hour or so after I found out about the series and the fandom, so there really wasn't a lot of time for me to hate the show. And even if I did have time, I wouldn't. I'm not much of a hater towards what people like things that I don't, unless you shove it down people's throats or you're just being a jerk about it.

So unicorns are better becuase they're wannabes, by having the insanely small chance of having their special magic talent be about flying or growing food? And again, not everyone is a Twilight Sparkle, so they can't just learn how to grow food and then learn another field. And as I've somewhat stated (but not exactly), if the unicorns were to seperate themselves, not only would they harm themselves, but they would also harm the other races as well. So not only would being independant be selfish, but it would also be a d*ck move.
