The inventors said it's pronounced with a soft g like gin, so there is no other way to say it IMO. Choosy developers choose gif. I might correct you if you say it while we're talking, I might not. Depends if it bugs me or not at that time.

Wife beaters should be locked away in jail... oh? What's that? You're talking about tank tops? I think they look trashy. They're meant as undershirts, or maybe while outside doing yard work and you want to get rid of sleeve tan lines. That's my opinion anyways.

I'm a lazy bum and wear t-shirts and jeans (specifically Lee Dungarees) 99% of the time. Although most the time I'm just sitting around the house or outside doing something from yard work to tearing a Jeep apart. So I don't really have a need to play dress-up. I do enjoy polo shirts though, but I still only ever wear jeans on the rare occasion I toss one on. My reason I don't wear them more often is that I loathe ones with pockets and logos. The pockets feel too low to me, and embroidered logos of a donkey or something is off-putting. I hate formal wear with a passion. It just bothers me. I also get hot easy most the time, and being hot tends to make me feel sick. So unless it's winter I stay away from long sleeves, thick material, and material that can make you sweat like a dog. My main problem is my size. I'm short and slim. I'm meant to be alive during WW2/Vietnam, because clothes from that era are more my size. I have a small sized WW2 officer's coat that fits great, and I've managed to acquire several Vietnam M65 jackets that fit well (one is a small and the other an x-small believe it or not). Modern stuff just doesn't fit me well, especially when it comes to jackets, coats, and dress clothes. No matter what though, the cowboy boots don't come off. I can't stand wearing anything else. Tennis shoes, dress shoes, even Converse's anymore (which I practically grew up in) just kill my feet no matter what kind of insole I stick in them.

These are great so far, always interesting to learn how others got into the show. If I'm not out of line, little suggestion. Maybe place the interviews under individual spoilers in the first post? Something like this for example? (Pony name) - (Member name) Just would keep things better organized and easier to read, especially once this thread gets attention.

I finally broke down and bought a 3DS XL just for Pokemon Y, kind of regret it. Not too much else on the system I really care enough for to spend the money on, seems to be a very common problem with me and consoles anymore. I really want a Vita to replace my PSP-1000, but just not worth it. I will say the 3DS is much nicer then the original launch silver DS it replaced. If a good Metroid game would get released, my regret would be crushed, but I fear if they do release one it'll be like the horrible Prime Hunters game the original DS had. I'd just be happy with being able to play Super Metroid on it, or an awesome Metroid 2 remake in the same fashion of Zero Mission. The 2DS... Well that's got to be the dumbest thing Nintendo has ever made. I don't get why they didn't make it fold, I've also heard the built quality is awful. Very much feels like something meant for kids in the backseat of a minivan. The 3D effect doesn't affect me at all, and I'm highly prone to migraines. I think its pretty neat, but I leave it off most the time just because of battery life (I have Epic Mickey which makes good use of the 3D).

How many Princess Celestia fans are there on here?
Puddlejumper replied to Sazama Ichida's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
You can add me as a fan of Celestia. I like Luna, but I think she's right up there with Derpy and Vinyl on the overrated scale. Most of her personality (and reason for the over-hyped love) is fandom mumbo jumbo. Now don't get me wrong, I loved Luna Eclipsed and watching Moon Butt's antics, but at this point Cadence has played a bigger role in the show and has a much stronger canon personality. -

I so far only have Dash, Fluttershy, and several of Trixie out of the normal sized vinyls. I kind of regret not buying others that have come out (mainly other mane 6 ponies) since some are getting harder to find at reasonable prices. I've already pre-ordered an AJ and Big Mac, and I'll do the same with Rarity when she is released in a few months. Still debating on grabbing Twi. The minis I am not interested in, mainly because they aren't show color. That's also why I don't care for the clear variants of the normal ones. As for getting the variants when you order online, I think that would only happen from Hot Topic. Other places either have the versions split so you know what you are ordering, or only have the normal ones from what I've seen.

Wildstar, I am disappoint
Puddlejumper commented on Puddlejumper 's blog entry in The Mane-iac's Psych Evaluation
Castanic 'zerker. I tried pretty much every class for the longest time, started out with a warrior, but settled on the berserker. Great game IMO. Haven't played in awhile though since I don't know anyone else that plays, so mostly I run around solo and that gets boring. That sucks. I had no issue getting my code registered. This is the first weekend I've received one, even though I signed up long before betas even started. It was basically just an "open to all who wanted signed up" thing I guess. -
After spending the vast majority of this weekend playing in the latest beta, I've come to the conclusion Wildstar will follow in the footsteps of SWTOR rather than forging it's own path. Here is why. First off, don't get me wrong and think I'm saying it's a horrible game or anything. I rather like the races, the settings, lore, art direction, so on and so on. The animations, while over the top at times, are lively and fun. The environments are packed with activity, from the plethora of mobs to the people standing around the towns talking (even saw some guards reference ALIEN at one point about "6ft tall creatures with sharp fangs and acid for blood). The bodies of water you can swim in actually have currents that push your character towards a shoreline. The paths you can take when you create your character are a cool idea, allowing you to undertake certain quests/events in the world (such as the Explorer can explore and setup radio antennas or the Settler can collect materials to build buff stations and such). All that's just dandy. What gets to me is the UI is very buggy for one thing. I guess they just recently overhauled the UI though, so that's expected I guess. Although I think this should have been done much earlier since they are only a month from launch. Not only is it buggy, but it just doesn't mesh well. Too many keybinds for every little thing. Interact, loot, answer your communicator, and a couple other actions are all separate keys instead of being on one like most other MMOs. You can't bind jump and swim up to the same key. Same goes for sit and swim down. Little things like that, it just makes keybinding a nightmare. It's also suppose to be an action combat style game, think TERA only sci-fi. The controls in TERA are seriously perfection, they did action combat right. Moving the mouse moves the camera around, allowing you to aim attacks and turn your character. Left button is your basic builder attack, right is normally block but can be whatever you want. Then you have your other attacks/spells that you can bind on whatever you want, normally 1-=. If you need the cursor, it pops up automatically (like when you open your inventory) or you hit Alt (or whatever you bind it to) to toggle between cursor and mouse aiming. You move, strafe, dodge, duck, all that fun stuff with the WASD keys and say F to initiate dodge. Can't do that stuff in Wildstar. Nope, instead it uses the horrible controls of WoW. You have to hold down the right mouse button to aim the camera and turn your character, left button moves the camera separate from your character and allows you to click target. First off, there shouldn't be ANY click targeting in the action combat style it wants to be. You should just swing your giant axe and hit whatever is in front of you in the swing arc. If you're fire weapons/slinging spells, they should go about their path in front of you towards the center of your screen at the reticle to show where your character is focused. Big issue with click targeting is that for some reason it targets stuff you interact with. Prime example, one of the Dominion starting quests has you burn down trees that has friendly mobs around them that become hostile upon doing so. You then can't attack those mobs because you have that stupid dead tree targeted so you attacks register "invalid target" even though there are no targets, just the mobs right in front of my that I should be able to smack with my giant sword if I want to! On top of that, you're using the WASD keys to move, double tap to dodge (or a separate keybind if you toggle directional dodge on in options), and your 1-0 for all attacks. Even your basic builder attack you are spamming goes on the bar. Now that would be fine if the game played like WoW, where you just target a mob and fire your magic tracking arrow at it and dodging/blocking was based on a stat system that just randomly happens but doesn't move your character. No. Wildstar wants you to aim your shots, and manually dodge out of harms way, and constantly be moving all while trying to spam those attacks. There are a lot of people on the forums telling people to "go buy an MMO mouse like the Razer Naga, solves everything". Well, sorry to be "that guy", but that solves nothing. If the game is going to basically require an MMO mouse, it better be included in the purchase. Those mice look awful to me anyways, I don't want 12 buttons on the side of my mouse where my thumb goes. That just screams hand cramps to me. There are addons that lock the camera to the mouse, and allows you to move the camera just by moving the mouse. Ok, that's getting closer but there are some flaws with this. I've been using Steer and some other keybind addon to accomplish this, where Steer allows the camera locking and the other allows you to map left click and right click. So I set it up as similar to TERA as I could (mind you that means binding 1 and 2 on my action bar to the mouse buttons rather then them having their own slots to place attacks in like TERA) and proceeded to play that way. It works okay at best. When you bring the cursor up like when in the inventory or having to respond to your communicator, your attacks will still fire off if you click the buttons at times. It also doesn't seamlessly transition from cursor to camera aiming like it does in TERA, half the time it seems to get confused and I have to click several times. It makes some quests a real pain because they require the use of an item, and to use that item you have to manually click target the mob. Found myself killing them more often then not by accident. No, Wildstar needs TERA style camera control built in. Reticle in center of screen to denote character focus for range attacks, which NPC you're looking at, which mob you are specifically looking at for those quests that require an item be used, easy any keybinding to toggle to cursor and back, auto cursor pop-up when you need it, no click targeting at all, and so-on. These devs want an action combat style game, then they need to go play some more TERA rather then focus on how WoW has always done things. WoW's controls work because it isn't action focused, it's magic tracking arrow and automagical dodging. Anyways, I'm more than positive I could keep going, but those are my main points why this game will just be another SWTOR. If Wildstar was straight up TERA controls with everything else it has going for it, it might actually have a chance once all the UI bugs are worked out. As it sits now, I'm no longer hyped and won't be buying. I'll check it out again once it goes free.

The SNES holds a soft spot in my heart because of Super Metroid as well as a few other games, but it's not my choice. Dreamcast is my choice. It didn't get nearly the love it deserved. Graphics were great, the controller was great, the accessories for the system were just about boundless. Being able to play burned games was also a quirky feature of the earlier models. I spent many hours playing Soul Calibur, Marvel vs Capcom 2, RE3, and plenty of other games on mine. Use to carry the VMU with me too and play the little mini games at school and such. The DC2 was going to be great. I blame M$ and their horrible monstrosities for the demise of a legendary console company.

I'm pretty sure you just described me, even the younger sister and family interactions. So does this make the inception even deeper? First we were all Ghostie posting from different accounts, but now I'm pretty sure I'm now Noire as well? Or is Noire me? Was Ghostie really us? I'm getting pretty freaked out man. Are we all just like, one entity talking to itself through multiple accounts on a forum it probably created? *blinks* I'm going back to Wildstar! Leave me alone! Have some Applejack!

I'm the same way. I pretty much refuse help if I'm doing something, but yet I love helping others. I mean I'm flat out altruistic almost, to the point I'll help them first and totally ignore whatever I might need to do. Then when I am doing something, I'll be at it all day and all night if I have to. Back when I lived/worked on a farm, I'd be up late into the night stacking hay bales, cleaning equipment, etc. on some nights and practically be falling asleep doing so. I've found myself doing this even on just hobby projects. It's scary just how much I can relate to AJ.

For some reason, I'm not as excited about this release as I thought I'd be. The images HT is using are horrible, and I hope just pre-release images that don't do the item justice. I still went ahead and pre-ordered me one as well as a Big Mac, but if the images were better I probably would have grabbed more. For now Trixie shall remain the only Funko pony I have multiples of I guess.

*twitch* must. resist. name typos! *twitch* I could type some long speech about how awesome AJ is, post 500 images to show my fangirling obsession, get on my soap box about how poorly she was treated by both the show and fans in the past, and how she still has a long way to come, but I won't. Why? Well one reason is found below, others have already said some fine stuff, and the direction the show has been taking AJ is a very welcome change (even bringing about past haters and creating many new fans of AJ), so I'm just going to save everyone's time and not do so. My love for AJ should be known around here by now I'd think. Right here. Oh wait, wrong topic. That's just the one Noire, Lightwing, and myself tend to take over from time to time. :comeatus: Yea, Rarity fans and AJ fans are a pretty tight group. Applejack's club is right here. Grab your soap box and set forth! More AJ supporters are always welcome, just go easy on the cider. You don't want to know what happened last time Noire failed to heed that warning.

Welcome back Ghostie. There was negativity while you were away? Must have slipped in unnoticed amongst the randomness that was Noire and I for a few pages, then Noire and Lightwing, then just everyone, followed by it becoming an AJ topic. Seems though that Rarity focused talk was mostly dead while you were away, though I've not been as active these past few days and I've not gone back in the thread so probably missed stuff.
