What took you so long to join MLP Forums?

Did you interact with bronies on other forums, social networks, reddit, image boards, DeviantArt, YouTube, video games, in real life and etc before joining coming over here?
How long had you been lurking MLP Forums before joining?
What made you join MLP Forums?

It took me at least one year to become a brony, then find the courage to the forums after. I mostly interact with other bronies on social networks, DeviantArt, and other pony forums.

I didn't really lurk before I joined, I joined to make friends.

(edited)

It took me 2.5yrs because i din't even know a fandom existed until about a year ago, which is when i started lurking this site and only joined recently because i felt the people here wouldn't be cruel to me.

Ive had no prior 'interactions' with any brony before i joined this site, even at the equestria girls movie.

Took me less then a half a year, I didn't join right away because I was nervous about joining a forum. Furthermore, a pony forum but I did and didn't regret it. Could say I interact only with bronies on here, I mostly do but I also do occasionally through deviantart and facebook as well as EQD but I don't really count them in. The reason I chose mlpforums is because I was watching movies on Equestria.tv found out about the forum felt it was friendly so I joined.

I lurked this forum extensively before joining. I became a Brony in 2012 and found this forum soon after, but I didn't join until March 2013 because I wasn't sure I wanted to be a member or not. Of course, I'm still here, so looks like I made the right choice.

Became a brony on June 3rd of 2013, joined the forums on the 5th. So only two days, and that's because I didn't know about the forums at first. ;)

Never had any interaction with other bronies before then. It was all kept to myself. :)

I never lurked. When I found out about the MLPF, I was just about to join, but I couldn't because we (my family) were heading out somewhere, apparently. When we came back, I joined up right away. :D

Joined because I needed someplace to 'share' my new found love for ponies! (and my other forums weren't pony oriented, so I was afraid the people there would have a problem [only one or two actually did, surprisingly], but I no longer care)

I was a brony before the word existed but I didn't admit it till later last year, though it was obvious to my family since I love ponies. But its even more where rare of where I react with other bronies. Only recently has it moved to RL interactions. One brony being a coworker at my job, the other being my nephew.

I'm just a silly little alicorn, trying to get by in the fandom ^^

Well the first forum I joined was friendshipismagic.org but it went down some time ago. I knew of the existence of mlpforums but it took me a while to realise fim.org wasn't coming back so I didn't join until maybe 5 months later.  And I still mostly lurk and only post on stuff that interests me.

Ironically I only found out about bronism and FIM through Reddit. The memes they came up with were... intriguing to say the least. A bit of research later, and the first 2 Episodes of season 1, were all it took to hook me forever. I joined mlpforums about 1Hr after changing my Black ops 2 Logo and My Steam Logo. No regrets.

I am still new to this magical fandom. (Never thought I would use the word magical in a sentence!) But it has already helped me in more ways than entertainment.

It took me a looooot of time. I became a pegasister over a year ago, and joined less then 2 months ago. Just because I didn't have the idea to search for a forum earlier'^^

I became a brony during the run of the first season, and only just found out about this forum practically a month ago.

.........yeah, Imma dummeh. >_<

In truth though there was one other forum I frequented for a VERY short time, but drifted away from, but I forgot the name of it.

First episode I saw was the first one with Zecora, then I took a half-year break, then became interested again and watched every episode up to the latest, which was Nightmare Night. Insta-Brony right there. Then the life lessons started falling into place faster than I could keep up with, and it got overwhelming. Kindasorta literally. Had to find an outlet to vent all that new awesomesauce, and went out searching. Found this place. Haven't looked back since. Leveled up at least six times.

According to my profile I started last December. Hey, I certainly don't remember when I started. I was so overwhelmed by the niceness here I didn't think it would matter when I started. And everybody here are the only bronies I know. I mean I knew one before, but it was before I was a brony. Not that it mattered. I think it was thanks to him I liked my little pony. But I don't remember that either.

I don't care what pony you like because I like everypony!

I've been a brony for over a year now, I used to be involved in other communities like on Instagram, and Twitter through 2013. I think the reason I took so long is because I was so involved in those other ones. I saw no reason to join another one. But I'm glad I did. I'm liking this site a lot more.

After becoming a Brony in February of 2013, it took 6 months until I joined MLP Forums. I have seen the site multiple times (about 3-4 times), I just didn't sign up until August of that year. Between that time, I used BronyNet until the owner shut it down back in April of this year. Why I joined? I really don't know. I guess most of the topics here had intrigued me.

Nearly one year, after I watch MLP, I joined here. I'm often talk in the other forum I am often about MLP, but most of them get annoyed. After more and more incidents and I feeled down, I just looked for a MLP Forum, where I can talk about the show witrhout getting annoyed. That's how I landed here and I don't regret everysecond(Actually 59d 9h 12m 24s) since February :yay:

It took me a while because firstly, I didn't know about this forum. Secondly, I was still new, and I was kind of a closet brony.

For a while, I was afraid I would be rejected / ostracized by the fandom / Brony community.  Dunno if I lurked around these parts, but I tried to find out the consensus view on some issues on pony-related sites.  When I *did* join MLP Forums, I'd only seen a couple of episodes and didn't yet consider myself a Brony; those two episodes weren't enough to keep me watching (though I immediately liked RD in-show).  I think part of me wanted a "push" that would lead to my giving the show a genuine chance.  Not too long after joining here, I purchased the season one DVDs.  And then, not long after, those gosh golly (excuse my language) ponywomen took over my life! xD  Well, one ponywoman in particular.  So thanks, MLP Forums.  For being that push I needed.
