Every one of you should hear this.

Even me?

I stopped after 3 minutes, not really worth my time, but then again I tend to dislike this style of music, so there's no surprise that I didn't last through this song.

Djenty, I love you.

Djenty, I love you.

I downloaded the Trelldom album that he posted. It was actually very easy to find. I haven't listened to it yet. I'm in the middle of Prowler in the Yard.

Oh dude, don't even get me started on all the assholes I've seen wearing Misfits shirts. Even though they've probably never even touched Walk Among Us.

Wow...why the fuck would you wear a shirt of a band you don't even know or listen to??? If I were to wear a shirt of a band, it would be a band that I really like and listen to a lot.

I am also annoyed by people who wears shirts of bands they don't listen to. There's a word to describe these people... what was that word... oh yeah, POSERS!

Anyway some Venom. (thanks Dawn)

My daily dose of Devin (DDD?) is Strapping Young Lad's self-titled from 2003. It's not "City", but it's still got that SYL sound that I enjoy.

Swallow the Sun kick so much ass.

I'm feeling relaxed at the moment, so yeah, gloomy death/doom.

Also, Orphaned Land, because they have an interesting take on death/doom.

I'm listening to Megadeth's new album Super Colldier and it's kind of boring, I'm about to just say fuck it and stop listening to it. Not that I was expecting it to be amazing or anything.

Because a bunch of people out there are complete and stupid wannabes who think that wearing a band shirt from a band that they haven't listened to will make them cooler.

While this is true, it also leads to the annoying uberhipsters that constantly have to one-up someone with a much more obscure and arguably better band.

It's best to strike a balance.

I don't get why the fuck people care if a band is popular or unpopular.

I'll listen to any band I like, regardless of whether it is well-known or not as well-known. Like I listen to more popular bands like a7x, disturbed, metallica, slipknot, etc. and I listen some less popular bands like BTBAM and Periphery.

And something I really don't get is why popular bands get bashed just for being popular (a7x and slipknot being big examples of this).

Slipknot changed the style up, that's what did it for me.  The self-titled and Iowa were fine, but then shit went away from my tastes.

And I was never into AX7, by the time I heard of them, I was listening to much heavier shit and just didn't bother.

Edit:  So not into them that I fucked up the acronym.

I like Iowa and Vol. 3 the best. I don't care for All Hope Is Gone though, that's the only Slipknot album I don't like that much.

People have different tastes though, so whatever.

Just the hipster mentality, I guess. It's not good unless it's obscure or terribly produced, right?

Sarcasm aside, I do understand the frustration of those who constantly see some very talented underground bands slip through the cracks, simply because the (arguably less talented) popular guys are hogging all the spotlight. But if a mainstream band's music is good, then its music is good, and there ain't no denying that. That's why I'll never be ashamed to own almost all of the Big 4's discographies, even though there do exist arguably better thrash bands.

As for A7x, I can't stand them simply because I think M. Shadows has an awful fucking voice. Well, had an awful fucking voice. But I'll admit, Nightmare was actually tolerable. It seems like he's finally "found his voice" as it were, so I'd be interested to hear what their future releases will sound like.

It's because some people think that it's cool to like unpopular bands and they stick with underground music, while others think that it's hipster-ish to like unpopular bands and they stick with what's on the top charts or whatever has more than 10 million views on YouTube.

But anyways it's been a while since I've posted ISIS before, so I'll leave them here

Everyone on this thread knows I love a7x (except for most of their self-titled album).

His voice sounds the best by far on their album Waking the Fallen.

I get why people don't like his voice otherwise, it sounds kinda whiny I guess.

I personally usually like his voice, I don't mind it at all.

I fucking love Metallica and Megadeth, I like them more than other less mainstream thrash bands I've heard. I don't give a crap if they are the most mainstream thrash bands, I like them a lot, and that's all that matters to me.

Funnily enough, I liked his voice better before Avenged Sevenfold when he was a part of Pinkly Smooth. His voice seemed to get whiny and nasally after that, though I will admit if there's one thing Nightmare did right, it was the vocals. I might go as far as to say I like 'em.

Must.Plug.Periphery.Every several days.

All the time to call to call the things they did a lieeeeeeeee.

Well it's sort of a "coolness" factor I guess. I've given Slipknot a few tries, I found them boring. And we all know what my thoughts on A7x are. As for other popular bands; I like In Flames' earlier stuff. I like Slayer alot, even though they aren't as popular as Metallica or Megadeth. I like Cannibal Corpse, but only their first four albums. I think it's safe to say that we all like entry level stuff.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm pretty sure M. Shadows wasn't a part of Pinkly Smooth. That's the Rev (Avenged Sevenfold's drummer) that did the vocals in that band.

M. Shadows was definitely not in Pinkly Smooth.

Also, M. Shadow's vocals didn't get whiny and nasally until City of Evil (although I actually really love that album).

WELL THAT MAKES ALOT MORE SENSE NOW DOESN'T IT?

But seriously, thanks for clearing that up. I thought something was fishy huh.png

The new Vildjharta is so dark I can't even see.

I'm really pumped for this EP.
