Speaking of CoB-like bands, I randomly discovered these guys at work one day:

I like very much, needless to say.

Also, just found out about Norther. Pairs something I love (power metal instrumentation) with something I normally hate (growls), but the former overrides the latter in these guys's case.

Here's an underrated song from what I consider to be the most overrated metal album ever.

I swear, I see this album on almost every top ten metal albums list.

Been listening to plenty of Crust Punk and Anarcho Punk lately, it's some tense stuff

I'll just leave some Nausea and Amebix here

The first song in this EP is quite annoying :/

I love that album, that used to be my favorite Metallica song on that album when I first got into Metallica, but my favorite has been Orion for a long time now since I realized how amazing it is.

I can't say enough how much I love these guys.  If you guys don't listen to Hundredth, start.

If I had to pick a favorite from Puppets, it's be this one.

I always found Sanitarium kinda boring, DH is okay, I think this is the best song of Master of Puppets.

Also a good choice.  Puppets was nothing if not consistent.  I wouldn't say it's their best, but it's probably their "album with the most songs you have a chance of liking".

Edit:  Whoops posted without tunes let's fix that.

Not strictly metal but they've got my ears today.

Master of Puppets ain't that great IMO. Kill Em' All is their best album IMO. MoP isn't even the best thrash album from '86. Reign in Blood is also overrated but it's miles ahead of Master of Puppets.

Disagree.  I've always felt Ride The Lightning was their strongest outing.  Also, can you even call MoP thrash?  Whole lot of slow in there for that.

I feel that Ride the Lightning was where they started to slow down, with the exception of "Fight Fire with Fire" it didn't feel as fast as Kill Em' All.

Wasn't as fast, true. But the production value was better and the songs felt more structured to me. Kill Em' All holds the title for raw energy while RTL has a bit more finess to it. But, opinions.

As much as I hate Dave Mustaine, I have to admit that he wrote the best Metallica songs. I'm more of a fan of songs like "The Four Horsemen" and "Metal Militia", than anything on MoP or AJfA.

I prefer MoP and AJFA more than Kill Em All, but I like "The Four Horsemen" and "Motorbreath" a lot. For me, faster doesn't equal better.

Meh, I prefer Slayer over Metallica because they're faster (and better lol) but I also prefer Sepultura over Metallica. Sepultura are much slower and groovier.

Oh yea baby, groovy.

My second least favorite song on the album. It just felt two minutes too long. Sometimes it sounds like it's about to end, but then it keeps going. It's like song is taunting me. sleep.png

My least favorite song on the album. Possibly one of my least favorite Metallica songs period.

I personally prefer Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning, and ...And Justice For All over Master of Puppets

every band that the william bonney boys have been in is great.

more people need to listen to this band. Like seriously, there are so much skramz bands who never get the attention they deserve. :(

I HAD TO FALL TO LOSE IT ALL BUT IN THE END IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER /WRISTS

Yea so, the fact that there are fairy type Pokemon and they're super effetvtive against both dragons and dark is starting annoy me a little. Maybe some Kreator will help me calm down.

Search around this thread, chances are that you'll find something else that you like. Everybody needs variety

Anyways, since people are talking about Trash, I'll post a great Crossover Trash album here. Corrosion of Conformity's debut wasn't that good, but they redeemed themselves with this release. I definitely recommend it, it's quite enjoyable

I really like Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold (except for their self-titled album). Sabbath is pretty good too although I honestly haven't listened to them very much.

Damage Inc.! I will counter that there are some songs good enough to make MoP a thrash record (Battery, Disposable Heroes, Damage Inc.!) but everyone seems to note the slower songs on the album...

I will agree with you that Ride The Lightning is probably best Metallica record.

LOL no. Haunting the Chapel is by far Megadeth's best album, Gary Holt sure does play some sick lead guitar on that album and Joey Belladonna is great on vocals too. Am I right?

I think you misread that post, NeverNeverLand talked about Metallica, not Megadeth :VVV

OT: I've been listening to a lot of Crossover Trash and Hardcore Punk today, so I'll just recommend a good album here; Time for Anger, not Justice

I can't find the full album on Youtube :/
