I should probably listen to that album sometime since it's one of their older albums, and their older stuff was considered Metalcore.

Dude, you should listen to their self-titled album. It was actually the first metalcore album that I listened to.

I'll probably listen to this later, along with Alaska.

"The Silent Circus" is better than those two albums combined, in my opinion. I prefer progressive BTBAM over straight-up metalcore BTBAM, but it's all good.

I thought that Jane Doe was the first Metalcore album that you listened to, though I think that I'll go with The Silent Circus when I feel like listening to BTBAM, but I'll probably check out their self titled as well

I have their whole discography and I haven't listened to The Silent Circus yet. *Sigh*

Jane Doe was the second, BTBAM's self-titled was the first. I remember I wan't sure which BTBAM to start off with so I was like "Buck it, I'll listen to their first album." I also did the same with Opeth.

So I got done listening to Leviathan by Mastodon, and I liked it, so I will probably get that at some point.

"Remission" is still their best work. Brann Dailor's drumming on this album is some of the best I've heard in my life.

Especially on "Ol'e Nessie" and "March of the Fire Ants."

All right, well I will go ahead and check that out at some point then. I still need to listen to Crack the Skye also.

Ugh, I have way too many CDs I wanna get :/

That's a really good one too; I just wish the acoustic guitars they featured on that one had a little more presence beyond hearing the strings being picked.

Dear Colors,

Please stop being so fucking good.

Sincerely, Champion RD92

Holy crap I swear this album gets better and better every damn time I listen to it.

Hah, listening to both Parallax's now. The first one is massively underrated.

Thank you Based Treeboy

I don't really give them much credit, but they are really musical gods.

EDIT: Spent all night on a BTBAM binge, listened to everything from Silent Circus up. Jesus fuck such great musicians.

I figured that you'd dig Mastodon, though if I were to listen to any more Proggy influenced Sludge, I'd pick Baroness.

Baroness, fuck yes :3

Anyways, I've been listening Flood lately. It's quite drone-y and very minimalistic, but I love it nevertheless

Also, yay for Ufomammut :V

Been daytime drinking and rocking the fuck out with GG Allin since I woke up this morning. This album is probably my favorite of his.

AIDS...lovely subject. Lol. Reminds me of this song:

I'm probably gonna burn in hell for laughing as hard as I did at that. But that's a'ight with me. Hell's been awaiting my ass for years.

I missed talk about Mastodon, now that's shameful. I first heard March of the Fire Ants after Remissions was released and I didn't care for it much. I found Mastodon a few years later again, and loved Leviathan, Blood Mountain, and Crack the Skye. The Hunter a little bit less, I guess it was too experimental for my tastes.

I'm on a massive Mastodon binge right now. Leviathan is amazing, after that they didn't seem the same to me. A bit more experimental, as you said. Still, Crack The Skye and Blood Mountain are still awesome records.

I like how this album was loosely based off of Moby Dick.

Well Leviathan does have my two favorite songs from them. Those two being Iron Tusk and Blood and Thunder. The Hunter seems to be more radio friendly, but it's still not a terrible album.

oooo I think I'm going to like it here! :D

A few of my favorites, perhaps?

Type O Negative - Pyretta Blaze

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9HHT8NdlKw

American Head Charge - Seamless

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nf3nnMbidxE

Motograter - Wrong

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogFqSfFlUvE

And

Megadeth - Peace Sells

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GD6gKjtpkFM

Now I must go refresh my love for Opeth, as I caught a reference to them in my initial poking around here and had completely forgotten their awesomeness.

Eh, I've barely listened to any Metal today (Dam you, Stagga D:< ), but besides Boris, I listened to some Stoned Jesus. I have to admit, it's a great name for a band :3

I'll leave some Egypt here. But that band is really confusing :S

I'm starting to dig this stoner and doom stuff again
