On another Deftones tangent. Chino's got one of the most recognizable voices I've ever heard.

Yup, Chino's one of those kinds of vocalists, Diamond Eyes was the first Metal album that I bought for my CD collection, and I still love it.

Sitting on my buttocks, being a lazy, white guy. Pretty typical for me, actually.

Also, more instrumental stuff, because I don't wanna hear anyone's voice.

I think I've found one pretty great band here named Knut. I'm listening to Challenger right now and so far I think it's one of the greatest and under rated Mathcore albums that I've listened to.

Okay it's official, Cowboys from Hell is now one of my favorite metal albums ever. It's like, I can put the thing on repeat for a whole day and not get tired of it. I'ts better than any Metallica, Iron Maiden or Megadeth album that I've heard. *Gets thrown tomatoes at*

Between the Buried and Me made a cover of Cemetery Gates, I haven't listened to the rest of this album but I probably should and will, because I have it lol.

So yeah, this exists.

I think this guy's a pretty kickass guitarist. What do y'all think?

Do you agree? Disagree? Are you deaf and unable to hear it?

lol I've only listened to Colors and Parallax II, though I think that I'm fine with only listening to those two albums.

I've listened to their self-titled, Colors, Parallax I and Parallax II. I need to go back and listen to Alaska and The Great Misdirect.

Alaska's gotta be my favourite BtBaM album. A lot more direct and stuff. Though I did like all that Ants of the Sky stuff from Colors.

Also, I'm surprised you haven't listened to Cowboys From Hell earlier. Just since you listen to so much thrash metal and all, and it's pretty famous for a thrash metal album.

I'm pretty sure Cowboys From Hell isn't a thrash metal album .-.

And if we're talking about BTBAM, I've listened to Colors, Parallax I and II, and some of Alaska. I would definitely say Colors is the best followed by Parallax II.

Why would we waste tomatoes on you? Save those for when someone posts a Justin Bieber or One Direction or any dumb pop song.

(Ugh I feel so dirty mentioning... them, I need another chemical shower...)

Anyways, some Pantera (finally added to my signature)

Pantera are a Thrash band dumb dumb, at least that's what I've been told, though I don't listen to Thrash so how can I tell the difference :V

I'm like 99% sure they aren't a thrash metal band. I always see them called "groove metal" or something. I've never seen them classified as thrash metal before.

http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/pantera

Genres: Groove Metal, Thrash Metal, Heavy Metal, Glam Metal, Hard Rock, Acoustic Rock

Well I guess it seems as if they can apply as a Thrash band

All right, well they're still mainly a groove metal band like I said though :3

But I guess we are both partially right lol

Speaking of Pantera, I'm considering getting the "Best of Pantera" album, unless someone has a better recommendation.

Actually, I listened to Cowboys from Hell a LONG time ago. So it's just a bit of nostalgia. I forgot about how good it was.

It's groove/thrash

Pantera are one of those bands that are hard to classify. In my opinion, they're groove metal AKA Post-thrash.

Screw that, you're MUCH better off buying Cowboys from Hell. Trust me, that "Best of" album doesn't even have songs like "Psycho Holiday" and "Shattered".

Uh what what what?

They were groove thrash by the time that was released.. Even then, IMO they're much closer to thrash than they are to groove, especially given the tempo and Phil's vocals.. If you actually listen to the album, you'll see it's pretty obvious. That's like calling Gojira Groove simply because of chunks and occasional drop tuning even though they're so much closer to Prog Death.

Uhh, yes I did. Pantera are kinda in their own genre. Like, Phil's vocals are what you would normally find in any thrash band.

Actually, an albums like Arise or Chaos A.D. would be a good recommendation for him. I'm surprised he doesn't like Tool, I'd thought he'd be into them.

Tool....RD92....yeah it doesn't surprise me that they don't go too well together, RD92 doesn't really listen to darker, experimental metal.

Oh, well what about Opeth?-Oh right... He said that he didn't like the growls.

Well you know he does like Thrash

Well yes, but he hasn't gone too deep into it. So far, he seems to only be a fan of Metallica and Megadeth.

What should we recommend for RD92?
