Adobe Photoshop CS6 Beta

FLARE

Recommended Posts

Today the beta of photoshop cs6 came out, you can download it here http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/photoshopcs6/ I downloaded it and installed, but I did not have much time to use it, it doesn't look a great deal different from the older photoshops, but is likely to have some good "hidden" features in it.

I found a change log somewhere on the internet.

so it looks pretty good right now, apparently they improved the way vector lines are drawn with the pen tool, I didn't get to try it out though (maybe they made it worse?) so yeah, I might be doing my next vector with it. What do you guys think of it? You can read more about it here http://www.engadget.com/2012/03/22/adobe-photoshop-cs6-beta/

I read somewhere on their Facebook page that they have improved a lot on the 3D features in Photoshop.

There was a video of it too.

That is good, I would have assumed the old photoshops 3-d was terrible, but I never actually got into it, I might give it a go with CS6...

Also the pen tool, it allows you to make strokes with the curves, so thats cool!

Such as in Paint Tool SAI? Like smoothing the lines?

No, the pen tool, used for drawing vector paths.

Is photoshop a good tool?

yes, 10/10...however it costs money, and well, if you have a really old computer it won't run that well.

it has a few nice features more that just brushes AND its still in beta...who the actually pays for it is beyond me, unless its being used for professional things, like you are making money from it or you have a student license.

Huh? before when you would do it, it would go straight to a raster image and half the time it would not work.post-326-0-25464400-1332533751_thumb.png

Not a huge amount useful for me, looking at the feature list, save for the ability to insert Lorem Ipsum text. That would be useful for laying out websites.

well hopefully there will be more features as the beta goes on. and yeah, the Lorem ipsum text feature would be very useful when used correctly.
