I wonder if there anypony wanna play chess with me? I always start my day from playing a set or two. Even though I’m still kinda noobish on it, chess is really nice exercise for brains. Especially now, when I still have slow Internet connection, and it’s only one sort of online games I’m able to play.

 

My nickname/login is “lia-ram” on chesscube.com and “Alia_the_Pony” on lichess.org, but if ya know another free chess site, just let me know and I’ll be there.

I've dabbled in it some. Been meaning to develop myself in the art of the chess, though - it's always been something that has fascinated me

You should try using http://en.lichess.org/, it works well and is quick for inviting people to your game. Nobody has to make an account or anything, it's all done free and login-free. As for myself, I've been playing around and reading chess books since high-school, but I'll be damned if it made me that much better. It made my opening better! The rest of my game... eh.

I'll have to look into those sites. I love chess but no one will ever play me so its been a few years since I last played. I'll admit I was in chess club a long time ago in school, my biggest accomplishment was stumbling upon the set of moves where you can beat an opponent in like 3 moves or something. I blew many minds that day. Lol

Also, I'll play against anyone! I'm not biased. Good or bad! I played against the best person we had in school just so he could whip me into shape by destroying me so much.

 

OP, I'll send you a message or something on lichess. You'll find overtime that it's super convenient for quick pick up and go games against random people who aren't dedicated enough to make accounts or anything.

I used to be very into chess. I read books and went to camps in order to get as good at it as I could. I first got into chess because one of my eighth grade teachers used to play it with me during study hall. He kept telling me I had potential, so I got into it.
