Family Reactions to when I confessed I was a brony

When I was about 17, My mom asked me about the poster, Xbox 360 Theme and Computer wallpaper, and why they all had MLP on them. I told her That I was a fan of the show. She said:"Good. I always wanted 2 Daughters." Still love her though.

Mom: "Are you watching My Little Pony?" 

Me "Yeah,it's a good show." She occasionally teases me.

Dad: "I've seen weirder interests."

Here's what you do, @JustaMelly-- After your family accuses you of not being manly, you just do this:

Then you say, "There, happy now?"

 

In all seriousness, though, this is a troubling reaction and it saddens me.  Try to explain to them that liking a show has no affect on one's masculinity/femininity or gender self-identification.  Hopefully they will come around.
