It's well on it's way... My twilight obsessed sister just read hunger games and it's "her new favorite book". At first I was thinking "sweet, she finally likes a good book" but then I saw all the young girls at the movie and now I'm thinking this is going to be the next twilight. Luckily, it'll still be good, just the fanbase will become unbearable :/

Bad news. A bunch of people at my school were doing the sign and shouting the teams. They also said something like, "Gale's fail and Peeta's a cheetah.

The movie ruined the series. The first book IMO was life changing, the second was great, and the third was decent. I had my memories of the series and was excited for the movie. Once i saw it, i was rather disappointed. Thinking back, it COMPLETELY neglected all of the character developtment and replaced it with random shots of the Peeta and Katniss' past.

I thought it was OK, but I still prefer the books. They just drew me in more and felt more developed and thought through then the movies even thought they followed it fairly well.

I thought the movie tied up some loose ends on how the Games went....And the bonus scenes were okay..I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the tributes with names rather then just 'Boy from 1' 'Girl from 2'.

the books were the most amazing things ever, but the movie was sort of a disappointment to me. the filming is so unclear - the camera moves too much! it's as if someone taped a camera to their arm while having a seizure and waving it around in the actor's faces

Especually seeing as the secind movie in the series is scheduled to be released soon! :3 My main question for this topic though is what other people think is the significance of the character Gale to the movie/books. He is obviously NOT Katniss's boyfreind, but it seems that hes narcissistic enough to think that he is. We all know Katniss is very protective of her sister and that it is mostly her and Gales kills that keep her fed. There no room for a relationship to fail there when hes already her best freind. So why in the world do they try to make it look like a nonexistant love triangle? It makes no sense!

I read all three books and it was actually pretty good. I guess I would read it again. I haven't seen the movie(s) though. It isn't my favorite series but it was good.

Why do all of the good characters need to die? So here I am reading book 1 "Oh Rue is cute she's my favorite." Then lol she dies. In books 2: "I just realized Cinna is kind of cool." Then lol he dies. Book 3: "I never realized what a good character Prim is". Then lol she dies.
