I think that if Aaron Rogers stays healthy all year, they have a legit shot at the Super Bowl.

...oh, wait, Green Day, not Green Bay.

They had a few mediocre songs, but the one that justifies any and all hatred is "Good Riddance," a.k.a. "The Time of Your Life."  It's a terrible song and is played ALL THE TIME in May and June, as if part of some mandatory graduation-themed tradition.  It was annoying back when the song was new, it's still annoying 17 years later.

In my opinion, they're the best alternative rock band out there. Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, and American Idiot are my favorites.

I mainly enjoy their bigger singles (Wake Me Up When September Ends, Boulavard of Broken Dreams, etc. Interestingly, I HATE 21 Guns), but I think they're a pretty good band. One of the quintessential punk bands.

I love that song. Reminds me of Seinfeld everytime I hear it, lol

Moved your thread to media discussion.

Also, I used to like Green Day, back in 7th grade. Now they just irritate me, because of how often they get played.

I was kind of a fan back in the day, though I haven't listened to their music since I was younger. Regardless, I'd say I like them, but the only song that comes to mind is 'Wake Me Up When September Ends'. I freakin' loved that song. Oh, and 'American Idiot' as well if I remember correctly. :P

That's fine if you like it, but I find it to be terrible.  The lead singer sounds like he's never taken a singing class in his life, and when you hear it ALL THE TIME and have been FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS, it becomes as painful as "I Love You," by Barney.  Plus, I am unsure of the Seinfeld connection, but I'm sure that it will add to my disdain for them both.  I have never found Seinfeld funny.

I honestly haven't listened to anything else other than American Idiot, but they were good about a decade or so ago.Whenever it was when that album was released.

Nowadays though?Listening to those songs again, they're just kind of...eh,I'd rather listen to My Chemical Romance than those guys.

I actually really love Time of Your Life, despite its overuse to the point of naseating cliché.  I think it's a great song, but there aren't enough facepalms in the world for when a class makes a Time of Your Life music video for their graduation from 3rd to 4th grade.  It shouldn't really be used at all anymore for graduations or anything.  Give it a rest.  Find something new.  IMHO, the only time that song was ever really used well, with originality and grace, was in the Seinfeld end-series retrospective.

I've never heard any of their songs.

Are you sure? You should check out Welcome to paradise or Jesus of Suburbia. I wont link them due to language, but JoS is the 11 minute one on YouTube, just in case you wanna look them up.
